I know I'm supposed to use the Q&A thread but it seems its more Q than A.
I want to know if the 2.3.3 ruu that is around includes international keyboards?
I need Chinese input options and another forum user was looking for Arabic. Can anyone quickly please look in your keyboard settings and see if they are there?
Thanks..
Well, i think theres chinese -- i cant read chinese and its written in that type of writting. and it has an option for chinese text input...so i'd say there is.
But for arabic, it doesnt, i suggest you download 'perfect keyboard', it supports arabic
Yep, it's certainly quicker to not use the Q&A thread.. Thanks for that..
anytime!

hello... i have bought today my htc diamond, but i cant find the option to change the language into english.
pls. let me know how to do that ?
i would be really thankful.
best regards,
hermi
Right first of all, your in the wrong part of the forum!!!!...this is for ROM Development only...use the proper Diamond forum next time!!!.
As for your question, why dont investigate??...its such an easy solution that im surprised you cant figure it out for yourself. Either that or read the bloody manual!!!...thats why they give you one...its on one of the cds and comes in a pdf.
Right if you really need help then ill help you....go to start then go to settings...in settings click on system...then scroll down till you find regional settings and in there you can change the language to english...if you have that option. If you dont then you will have to flash to a rom that gives you english option.
Seriously next time post in the right forum and try to figure out things for yourself...your not going to break the phone unless you start deleting things that you shouldnt. IF the phone stops working then do a hard reset and it will take you back to the way the phone was when you first got it. You cant expect us to hold your hand everytime you have a question that can and could be easily answered if you only took the time to discover the phone yourself ie what certain settings do etc. Also try searching the forum...it doesnt take a genius to do that.
i am extremely sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
i have also searched a lot, but didnt find the right answer thats why i have started a new thread. and i m thankful that you have answered my question.
i can see the language settings, but i still do not see where the languages are.
i want to flash the rom, but i dont know which rom i should take. i have bought the mobile in germany. its in german language.
i would really appreciate if you can tell me, which rom i should take to convert the german language into english one.
thanks once again for doing all that favour for me.

You could try the TLR rom, the latest one...that comes with english language. Plus its the fastest rom out at the moment as well..for me it is and it has all the tweaks done to it so you dont need to tweak the phone to make it perform better.
great support! i hope you mean this one:

I can see most of apps are displaying in English or Chinese, but only this problem confuse me. Any one who can help me this?

Mate... be polite... spamming your thread or shouting is not going to get you anywhere... Remember, not all XDA forum users use Arabic Roms (we are a minority here).
Now back to your problem...
Which Rom you are using?
What version?
Is it native arabic rom or patched?
Did you check you language settings? are you selecting only english?
Supply these info and I am sure some one will be able to help you.
Submitting screen shots is a bonus
Cheers
Hello guys, just want to apologize in advance for being an Android noob.
I need help getting my dad's AT&T S3 to run in Chinese. I've searched and haven't been able to find a solution. My understanding is that I need to root the phone and then flash it with a ROM/firmware. Im having a hard time finding out which firmware includes the language and I'm not sure if the international firmware (I9300) works on the AT&T version. I just need the basics to get his phone with a Chinese UI and nothing else. It would be great if someone can point me in the right direction.
If you're talking about chinese keyboards, you can download them in the market. Most of them are pinyin based and handwritten ones are harder to find. If you want the language on the phone to be chinese, it involves gettig root and going into a xml files and removing the locale codes, someone also made an app that does that but still requires root, and all you need is stock firmware. It was posted in this Q&A forum a while back but you might have to go back many pages before you find it, I dont quite remember the title but it had either Arabic or Hebrew in the title.

Thanks! I want the language on the phone to be in Chinese. I'm not sure what you mean by stock firmware. Do you mean the current firmware on the phone? Or is there like a stock firmware that includes multiple languages. Could you give me an example?
Yeah, stock is the firmware that the phone ships with. Since I haven't touched any of the custom roms, Im not sure myself if the devs would add the chinese locale specifically at all. So say for my S3 on Rogers, the most up to date DLK4 if I remember the firmware code correctly. Took me awhile to refind this Language Enabler, but remember to root first.

The Rom you need is called Dandroid. It has Chinese and Vietnamese language built in. I install it for my friend who doesn't know English.

Also, do not flash the I9300 firmware. It will brick your phone.
Hi guys !
I have a problem with my SGH-T999 SGSIII from TMO.
Ive got it as a gift and I wanted to use it with a different language.
Personally i dont mind to use English, but my girlfirend is pissed off when she has to do smth on my phone, and she doesnt understand my tips what to do (in English ofc).
So i was wondering is it possible to have a Polish system langage + input language support on the rom with build in root i have recently flashed ?

You need to flash to a different rom to get the language support. CM10 or Dandroid 2.8 will have the polish language.
Thanks for your reply !
Well i would want to flash a stock rooted rom with more languages.
Im more like in the HTC HD2 section and im not into SGS3 roms
Would you be so kind and tell me which rom for SGS3 TMO looks like stock and dont have those ****ty TMO stuff in it ?

Download old version blandroid 2.8. All the newer won't have the language packs.

Guys, I have been trying Dandroid and Wicked roms - the Wicked one just to check it out (it didnt have the Polish language though).
When installing the Dandroid rom I could choose the Polish language, but the system settings are still in English ...
The majority of the system is still in English, as if I used the Play Store App ...
Is there a rom for SGH-T999 which has a full translation support - i mean every language in a full version, for all system settings, icon texts ect. ?
Which version of Dandroid did you try? Is it the 2.8 blandroid like I said earlier?

Been trying the lastest one which was saying it has the multilanguage support (ver. 4.5 i gues) - it had the Polish language in the input language, so my friend could use swype typing.
You need to flash to a different rom

Do you mean a Turkish language ROM? Apologies if I'm asking the wrong question or not answering this properly. I've never heard of this and cannot find anything on it and was wondering if language is what you meant by it.
If you did mean the language you can access it in < Settings < Language & Keyboard < Language then just find your language and select it then you should be done. If you didn't mean that and you meant an actual ROM like that then my apologies for wasting your time, just trying to help.

If I'm getting it right you want to convert your M8 into a HTC WWE version to get updates as soon as they released!?
If so you would have to follow one of the various guides in this forum, going through the procedures of unlocking, s-off, root first. In a second step change the CID/MID to the WWE standard (that would be HTC__001/0P6B10000) and last but not least flash a stock WWE ROM and stock WWE firmware with stock WWE recovery.
This is only explained very roughly what to do. For detailed HowTo's you can search this forum and will surely find what you are looking for.
If I have understood you wrong, please let me know.
