I've always used SwitchPro to manage all of my connections. It's nice to have WiFi, gps, 4g, 3g and bluetooth all in one widget.
Is there a tool to turn off the cellular entirely? With the GPS chip and offline maps, this phone could be used for backpacking, so it would be nice to turn off cell as you wouldn't need that anyway.
Hold down the power button for airplane mode and data toggles

Our power menu only had airplane not data.

Media server

How can I disable this? It seems to be running most of the time and I think is the cause of my crappy battery life

Not necessarily, have a look at what has been using the battery - only if it appears there then it has been using the battery. Depending on what firmware you are on you can root and then remove the offending a apk (there is a thread here with details of what the different apks do and whether or not they are safe to remove.
Hope this helps.

[Q] What is this ICON on the status bar?

It is always there to the left of my Wifi icon or 4G/lte icon and it looks like an N.
It has been killing me trying to figure out what that is.

Fast Charge??? O.o

Okay so as y'all know I tested/tried almost all custom 4.3 & 4.4 roms, well I noticed in jus a few of the roms like in BSHarmony 4.4 where you can enable the Fast Charge toggle in Quick Settings, what does it do & is there anything I need for it?

Accidentally hit thanks lol.
Does exactly what it says. Charges your device faster. The problem with fast charging is that it reduces the lifespan of your battery. From what I've read, a slow charge is best to preserve the battery. Wish there was an option for that.
