Hello there,
i am a app developer and wont to post a Topic for a community project? the one app is i think a little bit here known, it's name is BadaSI maybe someone know it,
the source code of this app is free to all developers, only the whole programm shouldn't be reconstructet, the images of the app are from an designer and he don't wont that someone use them.
The second app is voluntas and is currently at developement. It is usefull for developers to have such a topic for an app and have a better and faster way to fix bugs, cause the users can post every time things that are not going very well.
i have made some mistakes as Moderater there and decided to leave this site, and a friend of mine has said this would be a good one.
Is it possible or not?

I had a wrong going disussion with a user on badanation.de, and at least i decided to punish myself from there, it was easy becouse i was a moderator also there and in the dev-team one of the leaders, adfree has brought me here, he showed me the forum since the release of badaSI and made a Topic for the App. I have written many bad things and a moderator should be more friendly. It hadn't any sense to stay there.
This Forum is nice and I hope we will make some usefull apps for the whole community.
I must wait for 10 posts that i can add my Topics then in the developement section.
I am happy that i found a new forum and can start my line only as developer.
Yes. I hope that more users develop bada Apps.
As we can see Themes now very often in Store... much more then Games.
It's time to change this.

good developers are never too many
im tired of looking at samsung new apps, and find only themes (most of them rubbish and overpriced i must say), app links to newspapers, calendars and task managers that bring nothing new, bibles, clocks (ive seen simple clocks priced at 4 or 5 euros...come on... a simple clock...wtf is that?)
really good and useful apps are still scarce or too expensive (at least compared to android and apple appstore)
with a good developers base i can foresee some good ideas taking shape as apps, or even "porting" good apps from other systems

Welcome my friend. O must say that your badasi app is really good. For those who don't know about their wave, it gives a lot of information. May I ask what your second app is and what it does? Also is it possible that you could make an ebook reader (which could at-least support .epub format) for bada? That's one big thing that bada badly misses. Please don't think I am pressurizing you. If you can't no worries. Just asking....

app used 7MB
app free 50MB
where is the rest of RAM? did you find out how much RAM does wave actually have? still not sure about that. no information to google some say 256MB some 512, did u make any progress with this?
welcome mate.. i am already using ur Voluntas browser and its awesome much better than pretty useless dofin 2.2 which lacks fullscreen.. only a few improvements and it will be the BEST
btw previously you promised to explain how to remove voluntas better than clicking minus in menu, so we can find out, if the problem with app crashing will remain..

The problemed happened to some peaple not to everybody and with the new installer, what language are you using?
have you the old batch script from me? we could test it with it, i removed it from my hd, and don't remember anymore how i did it
BadaSI RAM:
The App Limit shows the max Value the App cans allocate after starting, this value depends on the Amount of System RAM, a App normaly becomes 73 - 74 MB for its own. When the RAM is fragmented the App becomes less RAM.
This mean if the App Limit are much lower or below 50 MB you will get a lot RAM errors while surfing with Dolfin or trying to start a big game.
It is an indicator when the System RAM is to much fragmented and than it is time to restart the Phone.

It could be that by you the other Installer don't copies a file, it is based on .Net Framework, and a such error could everything be.

The other from badaSI will come soon, i am working on it, a little problem is my english is a little bit rusted trought the time
so, i didnt understand well probably. i downloaded his folder, connected thru stune, deleted all files there and copied from that downloaded folder. but voluntas now doesnt work. some files are different, so it wasnt simple replacement. i will send you a link to pm with my voluntas folder for you to look at it. i dont know if there are some passwords saved or something, so i hope you are discrete. after you download it, i will erase it from server.
here a fixed version for you with the old installer, if it works for you i will add it to the voluntas topic

oh i see we didnt understand each other right! so just to be clear: the new installer did work well before, problem appeared after two days.. so now: as i wrote you in pm - i installed it thru new installer again and for now everything is allright. if the problem comes again, i will install it with this old installer and test it again. is it ok for you?

Hi everyone,
The last few days i have problems whit Windows Mobile Live Messenger. . .
It wil not synchronise the personal settings like display name, personal message, and display picture. . .
When i will set it up manual at my phone i get a error.
(There was a problem processing your request).
And it's only on the phone the same account works great on my Desktop PC.
My msn adress not @msn.com or @hotmail.com but my own domain.
But i think that's not the problem.
Are there more people whit the same problem, or does someone know
how to fix it?

Live Messenger Problem
First, do not apologize for your 'bad' english... It really isn't that bad.. If it isn't your native tongue (and I suppose that it's not), then you are doing better than a great portion of the people who use it as their native tongue...
With that said, Windows Messenger on your device only synchronizes with the hotmail or msn accounts.. I have had this problem for some time and have yet to find an answer for it.. It did however, bring up my list of friends with whom I have saved to my "live account".. It may just be a matter of time before some creative programmer decides enough is enough and will create a registry entry or cab file that will allow you to change what the default domains are to synchronize those contacts... It sounds easy, but then, I'm no programmer...

Sorry, but I really don't know the answers to those questions, but I came across another thread about the personal settings... Newer version of WMLM does not resolve the problem... Inside it was suggested that if you remove your contact picture, some of the other features may work... Don't know if that is your problem, but http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308275

But i know the reason for this Problem. In your Account Settings (in the Web) you must clear all Settings, your Picture, your Name.
If this happend, your mobile device kann change anything.

i need to know from those expert chefs. is it better to cook programs via OEM or CAB? does having more OEMs causes the rom to lag? other than pagepool, how do you boost the speed of a rom? and does having a pagepool of more than 32Mb causes some stability issue?
reason im asking is because im trying to customise a custom rom. manila-wise, it works well, except... i have no idea why my photo-video album from the manila lags for a very very very long time before i can select different folders.
i hope to get some answers cos it's kinda difficult getting straight answers around here. yes i know google, forum search etc etc. which i already did. im not asking to be spoonfed. im asking to be taught how to fish so i can fish on my own. bit by bit.
btw, i own a gsm touch diamond. i hope to get some reply.

It's better to cook using oem as a cab takes more space i.e space for the cab then space for the installed version so can take nearly double the space.
There should be no speed differences.
Pagepool of 32Mb is going to lead to very little memory left for programs to run in
P.S don't expect somebody to answer your question within 1 day, It's only just over 8 hours and you post a comment like that.
OEM is better, but if you delete the CABs after the installation there won't be wasted disk space... it's equal!

And the manner of the pm's he sent me weren't particulary appreciated - Basically expecting me to share my kitchen and berating chefs who lock their roms/don't share which is my wish wether I want to or not and complaining there aren't any guides for cooking when there are plenty including a very good video one.

Hmm, maybe he had a bad day (which doesn't justiy his actions); I checked his other posts and they were quite normal.
Other than that, the info he was asking was in the stickies, which shows that he was expecting us to spoonfeed him, instead of reading up.
i do NOT need to be spoonfed. i read through even looked up wiki mind you. but sifting through pages after pages looking for answers doesnt help. i ONLY ask as a last resort. i have learnt to "arghh go to hell with it" if chefs locked their rom. it's just like Microsoft. take it or leave it. i know how to edit a custom/official rom. BUUUUUT, i started out with the old version. im learning how to use ervius kitchen and still am. ROM development is supposed to be open and shared. when mondilv decided to leave bcos chefs were locking their rom yet still asked for donations in their sig, i understood & agreed completely. locking a rom only serves to justify "it's mine and there's nothing you can do to try and hack my hack. only i have the key. if there's bugs, i can try to rectify it bcos you're too dumb to create something just like mine" it's stingy dont you think so? it's NOT hacking a hack. it's improving it. so learners like myself can compare how custom roms work. why does this work on this but not that? etc etc..
all of us start somewhere. the experts included. the difference is how well we can read/translate codes. i for one, learn by comparing. and there's nothing to compare if roms are locked.

Ontopic I would say that it depends on what you cook into it. If you make a .cab for manila, I would say it's slower than when it's cooked in the rom by default.
Cabs are good for minor changes, like messenger updated, album update. Small things, so you don't have to re-flash everytime u find a bug.

i agree. but some folks crazy like myself, wishes to remove/add some stuff via oem. and yeah, i have been reflashing hundreds of times due to me NOT being happy that something small didnt turn out correctly as how i want it to be. imagine this, i rather extract the contents of a cab (manilas or those files that writes themselves into /windows) and paste. why? bcos i hate seeing programs building up into the 'remove program' feature. why? bcos all that i installed in my own modified custom rom is what i need. which is why i prefer oem. but now it's extremely rare to find one that isnt locked. i hate audio/images/samples/programs that i know i wont use at all. i rather remove them and save the extra valuable space for other programs.
im still a very long way from being a complete chef. but sadly, locked custom rom has hindered my progress and now i have to just like everyone else, swallow the pill and deal with it.
edit: and i thought i was the only one grumbling abt locked roms.
dont forget one thing about your grrrrr'ring of locked roms:
you cant get any better reason to start cooking and being a master chef as locked-roms-reason.
i startet with downlading all roms for my device (sometimes for other=bricked)
and hope, that the next time it will exist a combine of bepe and diamond-project. at least, it would not get an equal combine roms and i have to start again with cooking (after long break becauce bricking) roms. the best start could be recooking and deleting not needed/wanted applications. but both cookers locked there roms. o.k. ... ? !!!
now i am in a position to cook that what i really want ... not really,
from 100% i give me 95% of really want and the rest 5% are random.
the most problem is getting new stuff or stable versions of existing stuff.
and here come the other cooker or members with power of interesting to upload for volks.
forgot the locked cookers/chefs, they have do their really good things long time ago and they lost a little bit the spirit of this forum.
i can understand, that some chefs/masters dont give for 546 times the same answer of a question two thread before and five threads before and ...
and one thing helps me really good, other xda-forums with using google-translator. this is the mother of xda-forums, but dont forget uncle, brother, sister and very good looking cuisine ...
have questions. than ask. sometime have wait and sometime have nerv and nerv and nerv again (sorrry, nerv is german, dont know english word and google-translator is on an other tab ..

From my experience, there are can be some speed differences.
An OEM with modules (can be UPXed) files will be faster, and take up less room than an exe installed by a cab. And it'll launch faster.

We disabled it because we found that the vast majority of users don't use it. Disabling it means that your User CP loads a bit faster, and also it's one last thing to cause undo load on our servers.
If there's a huge number of you that disagree with this action, we can reconsider, but again, our understanding was that it was a generally unused feature - most people just use Private Messages.
I agree, there's really no need for visitor messaging, it's just confusing and usually either PMs or posts in the specific thread are better. But from what I see, the OP wanted to use it to display information about his phone, so maybe you could add an option to choose a phone model and providing some info about it (ROM etc.), like the operator/country logos.

Nearly all Dutch people can speak German
I guess that living in a country with a less common language does have its benefits - if you live in England, you most probably won't know that many foreign languages, but if you live in Netherlands, you not only learn English but even German. Do you speak it, BTW?
Yes that must be the cause, but it also depends on how far a country is 'cultured' I think.
Well my German isn't very good, but I can speak it good enough to be understandable.
My French is much better than my German though.

ahhhh can you at least temporarily restore it? I had created a list of trusted/recommended traders there :/
I suggest you contact either svetius or mikechannon about this, I am not sure if it's possible to restore the information, but most likely they made a backup of it.
Btw it should've been better if the admins had warned first before proceeding with desabling the system, but that's just my opinion.

It would be really cool, like Livven said, if we could get our phone to show up on our profile.
I would actually like to see it on posts as I think it's more important than a user's join date, and quite a lot of members don't include it in their sig.

since i'm used to often change my roms on my hd, i'm searching for a programm or whatever that is able to save and store apps. You might think about androidpit and that's already a really nice website, but unfortanetly not 100% what i'm looking for.
I wanna have kinda a database für my own to save, manage and restore apps doesn't matter if online, offline or in form of an app.
I hope i could express my "problem" clearly and hopefully there'll be some help

get backup G or store all apks in same folder, transfer in to pc,ICH habe das gemacht un es ist gut! what did i say; i studied germany for 6 years.
there are softwares.they make all in folder then just place folder back and no need to install all, they just appear in menu and ready to use,
