Boot into CWM and clear cache partition/dalvik cache 3x
Reboot.
If that doesn't work you could always try booting back into CWM and select Advanced>Fix Permissions. Then reboot. I think the first suggestion should work.

New Market (2.2.7) on CM6?

Is there a working (non-themed) new market for CM6? I've tried a bunch of different methods, but none work. It always Force Closes.
I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877330
And even tried installing using these instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877510
But nothing is working, any help?
Are you wiping the cache and dalvik cache before you flash? I had no problems installing non-themed or themed versions of the market on CM.

Yes, I've done that and it did not work. I'm running a themed one right now, but find it hard to read and use. Is there a flashable version of the non themed market?
Looks like there is a flashable one

Uninstalled themed market
Cleared cache and dalvik cache
Flashed market, reboot
Force closed :/
Jeez, umm I'm kinda running out of ideas. Here's 2.2.6, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9756315&postcount=20
Maybe you have problems with the ROM itself. Backup and try a clean install of the ROM (wipe cache and dalvik cache), then before anything else try flashing a new market.

Yeah, I'm going to try out another new ROM tonight anyway. And if I don't like it, I'm doing a new, fresh install of CM6 because it has been hella stable and fast for me
Followup for anyone who might run into this problem like I did:
I found a flashable version of the 2.2.7 market.
Put it on SD Card
Went to settings -> Manage Apps -> Market -> Delete Cache
Rebooted into Recovery
Cleared Cache
Cleared Dalvik Cache
Flashed the new Market
Reboot
Success

Can't Get a Clean install.... Need some help

I don't know what is wrong with my phone after trying to flash SenseGinger v2.1.2 (didn't work) then reflashed CM 7 RC 3 with Mattedblues theme, Then flashed to RC 4. But each time, i can't get a clean install.
Things like Mattedblues theme icons are there when I didn't even flashed the theme Also my old wallpaper is there too when its not even on the SD card. Also now my phones constantly reboots after trying to log into google after fresh install.
I cleared Factory reset/ Cleared Cache/ Cleared Dalvik cache/ Even installed a Blank SD with only the rom.
WHat the hell is going on??? is there is secret cache somewhere i forgot to clear?
help
if you have wifi enable it will do a bootloop, so after a install do a reboot and that should stop...try to do a clean install of RC4, also if you backed up from google it will restore everything even wallpaper

No no wifi no nothing. Tried it even without a google account login and its still goes crazy. I think somehow my past rom data doesn't get deleted, but i have no idea where they are hiding at....
Right now i am doing a full HTC signed rom install and going to see how it goes.

Force closes flashing from cm7.0.2.1 to 7.03

I wanted to upgrade cm7 but when I did I was getting a lot of force closes from gmail and something else. I thought you could do that without wiping the system, data, and dalvik cache. I did not flash any google apps again, should I have?
One thing I did do is flash a custom theme on 7.0.2.1 and then flashed the 7.0.3. Should I flash 7.0.2.1 again to overwrite anything else? Do I have to wipe everything again? It's a pain installing all the apps again and configuring all of the screens each time.
If you flashed a theme, as opposed to using Theme Chooser, that's probably your problem. If it's only certain apps FCing, try uninstalling and reinstalling said apps.
Did you use ROM Manager to fix permissions? Also, maybe uninstalling the theme before you installed cm7.0.3, then reinstalling it after 7.0.3 might do it.

ICS 4.0.2 - Market keeps Force Closing

I installed 4.0.2 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394051
And since I did, the Market keeps Force Closing. I can open the market, browse, search etc, but as soon as I try to open an app/book/film to see the details, I get a Force Close - "Unfortunately, Market has stopped". I tried clearing data, clearing cache, also tried clearing dalvik, fix permissions and cache partition in CWM, but still no joy.
I then installed several other 4.0.2 ROMs - the MCR, bigxie's 4.0.2, and a stock deodexed one and all are giving the same problem. I don't really want to go back to 4.0.1.
Can anybody suggest anything?

Have you flashed Gapps after flashing CM9 ?
If not you can get it here:
http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
and have it flashed.

have you cleared cache partition, dalvik cache and wiped data properly....
Did you wipe the dalvik cache and perform a factory reset?
If not, that's probably what you need to do, CM9 kept force closing everything and it fixed itself when I did these.
Hope I helped :fingers-crossed:

Thanks..did that and worked well till last day, but the in the evening I again got same error
Don't know what to do...
hmmm...
The only thing I can think of is to free up some RAM, maybe they're force closing due to not enough being avaliable.
Try to kill some ram hungry apps,
Go to
-Settings
-Apps
-Scroll to Running
-Kill them.
