Help can't install any twitter apk

I'm running cm7 (blue sickness) and all twitter apps I have tried to install fail

You might want to re-wipe and re-flash.

Are Twitter apps the "only" apks that wont install? If so, that is indeed perplexing. If you have the time, flash a different rom and see if you're able to install.

Try moving the app to /system/app then use root explorer to enable all permissions, then install.

i flashed EOD by magnus and was able to install gonna try manually pushing now hope it works cause i have no clue why it wont allow me too and yea twitter is the only app that wont install thought it was because it was no longer on the market but apparently that's not the case
edit: tried manually pushing and apk doesnt show up in app drawer. Gahhhh this is driving me insane!

Try moving it to the /system/app or /data/app
It seems its a widget, so that'll why its not showing up, if its on your sdcard.

well i already tried the system/app combo and fixing the permissions and that didn't work. will try the data/app combo wierd thi cause it should show up in the app drawer to open up the app

if you have Root Explorer (or Android Commander on your PC), navigate to /data/data and delete the com.twitter.android folder, and then try installing Twitter again. I had the same problem on CM7 and this fixed it (without having to completely wipe the phone)

Years weird thong I don't even have that folder anywhere in data/data

Vibration settings in stock sms app?

I was running liquids rom but I didnt like the results I was getting with francos kernal so I switched back over to Gummy's rom.
But I really miss the feature in the stock sms app that could change the vibration settings... Is it possible for someone to extract that apk and upload it please Its the one with a blue icon instead of a green.

You still have the .zip?
Just pull it from there.
I'd do it and upload but I'm at work.

You can't install it.
Move it to /system/app/ with root explorer.
And delete the old one.
Then long-press it and change the "permissions" to match the other apps in the folder.
Reboot.

Gmail attachment won't work !

Hello ,
Like to thanks for all of you guys and guls who help to come up with this stable ver of Cyanogenmod Ver 10.00 which i have installed and everything is working fine just noticeed today that when i try to send any email using Gmail client with and attachment even though attachement shows in the box but on the other side mail showed up blank no attachemnt ??.
Also there is a update in the market for the gmail client which i tried to update but can't everytime i try i got the message that file is not signed unistall the previous ver and reinstall but i don't have any uninstall option? any help here please and thank you.

It sounds like you need a file explorer with root access. Just find one from the play store, make sure you have read/write and boom uninstall it from there.

I do have file explorer and yes with root access but still same thing

Go to system/app and delete the gmail apk. Then reboot, go to the play store and install gmail.

Thanks i was able to find the gmail.apk but for some reason it won't delete any way i am able to send the attachment with a file explorer root but i cann't update gmail application from market as i got always error saying that package does not have the correct signed something ?

I don't know what to tell you. The only way you are going to be able to update it is if you delete it first.

Any idea how do I do that as I remove the account and stop the services still no luck?

Ok I fixed it installed titanium backup and using that uninstalled the old Gmail and rebooted and than download the new one from play store thanks all.

How do you HOX user delete your system/odex app?

So I have a lot of preinstalled **** apps sitting on my app drawer with no use for me at all such as
Ais
Axis
Broadband
Mworld
Myhtc
Ringtunes
And all the other useless ****.
I have tried to uninstalled them using Link2sd. Yes I do succeed.
But after I reboot my phone. All of the **** apps that I uninstalled came back. wtf?
Someone suggest me to use aroma file manager, not sure if its gonna work or not I mean have spmeoneu tried it and succeeded? Without the apps came back after uninstalled it?

You are rooted, right?
Use any file explorer out there and delete the desired .apk files from /system/app/. The apps'll be permanently gone!

yeah, try that trick but pay attention to the apps you want to delete, you could face some crashing items

Urgent Help Cant install phonebook.apk

i just installed a new stock rom and found that it doesnt come with phonebook,apk installed means my contacts app is not installed so i rooted my phone and manually pushed phonebook.apk to system/app but its not installed i also tried to install it manully but then in application manager it says App not installed.... how to install this contact app? i also done factory reset but still not present

yes i extracted from system.sin and then pushes to system/app through root explorer... i dunno why its not installing

oops,sorry.that happened to me with other app.did u try clearing cache and dalvik cache in recovery ? sorry,but i dont know much

if its very urgent install a 3rd party contact till u get time to solve the problem
