Hi guys,
I am using Insertcoin 1.0.3, but my memory keeps getting full. I have a lot of apps I use and it seems that I can't install any apps anymore.
I am S-OFF and use the cm HBOOT.
Which Rom could you guys suggest with d2ext. I know how to set up partitions etc. but I don't know which rom is good for d2ext. maybe Miui or other ones. I prefer 2.3.4. roms.

hi everybody! I try various Rom for this phone but I realise I cannot live without sense and the the most stable and fastest Rom with sense I've ever try is the stock Rom only... but it has only one problem... the Apps space... can I install a script like a2sd+ or data2ext directly on the stock Rom rooted?

Leedroid or the pre rooted stock rom are not stable for you?

I'd like to stay with the stock Rom applying only the mod I want... I want to do this way also to learning how apply script or mod. is it possible?

Yes, search for init.d or the htc kitchen.

If you have the android sdk installed on your computer and you are familiar with adb,
pm ModInstallLocation 2
will set the sd card as the default install location.
I stick to sence to matter what the ROM i'm using.. I'm on Leedriod now .. very stable, wonderful... and I have not " cut up" the SD card .. only got a 8GB card ... ( class 6 ) mainly down to cost ... but I have loads of room free.. with this fix as well .. be careful.. widgets etc .. that you use at start up .. must be on the phone
i love this rom but i need more internal space for apps. what can i do?
maybe i can flash the rom in the external memory? i have 8gb sd
No that wouldn't work

so there is no solution? what rom do you have? is it like mine? i can flash yours if its better
Have a look in the Desire Android Development section and pick a rom that suits your needs. Many come with a2sd+ / data++ / data2sd, which will take care of your internal storage issue.
Swyped from my CM7.1 Desire using XDA Premium App
i cant find a tutorial for flashing and partitioning. all the tutorials say about simple flashing. also i think there is no rom with sense 3.0 or 3.5 that fully works. it usually have problems with camera. if someone knows a good rom please let me know.
Check out this guide.. Is about as simple as it gets.. If you can read you can do it

I think you won't find Desire on MIUI US. Try with MIUI GB if you need a good english based release:
http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/archived-miui-versions-desire-gb.16551/
And, of course, cm7r2 compatible. I used it with a2sdx script.
There is US version for desire but it is in legacy device section.

as for the original question, does searching the relevant thread or google find the answer?
or better yet, solve it by logic: open the rom.zip with a file manager, check the system size, then pick your hboot with a (slightly) bigger system. method should work with any rom
Today i rooted my htc buzz wildfire and installed cyanogenmod 7.2
I wanna know how can i change the rom?
And which is the best rom available? In terms of speed and one last question, does overclocking really boosts up the speed. Should i really do that?

Cyanogenmod Is a rom, and so is htc sense and miui ect. You have already changed rom! And yes, allowing you don't over do it there should be no harm bar the battery will run down faster.
I think with cm7, some apps still lag. For e.g xda app crashes at times and it gives the error "force close" which never really happened before.
2) And can u tell me should i try cm9 with jelly bean / ice cream sandwich.
3) and how can i use rom manager? I rooted yesterday and didn't use it. What's the first option i should use etc ( a forum link would be appreciated) i couldn't find any.

CM 7 is a really smooth ROM no ICS ROM is faster. I think you should stay on CM7.
You can use ROM Manager if u want to flash a new ROM for example CM9 or a new ClockworkMod recovery. You can also Download the newest Version of CM7 (gApps etc.)via ROM Manager.
Maybe you should try to clear the app cache and data to get the app working

Thank you.
But can you teach me more about Rom Manager? I had it pre-installed in cm7 but don't know how to use it.
I heard that rom manager can get phone's bricked. I haven't even made a backup of cm7

Here is a complete guide how to use ROM Manager and what exactly it does
I've heard about the 'brick'-issiue too but i think that's a rumor. I flash ROMs with ROM Manager for about 1 year and i hadn't even one issiue with it.
Thanks man you're genius.the kind of info i needed, i got it.
That's why i love this forum.

You probably flashed the data ++ version. Download the one meant for stock hboot and flash that instead if you want to have all stock android apps
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
What does data++ and hboot mean? I was just trying to find a fast new rom and use my ext partition on sd card for additional memory.
Btw where can i find terminology explanations that people use here?

Google Alpharev.
Data++ is a hboot (180mb system i think)
I think chromium is saying that u flashed the version to fit in data++ hboot so that means some apps were removed from the rom to make it smaller. So flash the version for stock hboot (250mb system) and ul have all the apps.
Can you please navigate me to new vj rom that comes with stock htc apps? Or a better rom for my needs?

Its in the same thread where u got the data++ version. Just dowload the "stock hboot with gapps" version
