Huge thanks to XDA and its members... [IcyCell Doors]

I wanted to thank all of my fellow EVO fans for making icycell.com a success. As you know, I only bought so many doors and once they were gone, that was all we would do. I have about 4 doors left but wanted to say thanks... so..
Thanks to XDA for putting such a phenomenal site together with a great group of member.
Thanks to all the XDA members who helped with the design/testing process and had patience while I got everything in order to ship out.
Thanks to all the people that helped promote the heck out of the door for me.
Without you guys this never would have happened. Having said that, if anyone is interested in taking everything over from me, drop me a PM.. I am not looking for much money but it is time for me to move on. I am concentrating on moving my family back home to Florida and have about 7 other projects that I need to get off the ground.
Again.. huge thanks to everyone involved, you all deserve a pat on the back.

If my Evo isn't running the extended battery, its rocking an Icy Cell clear door. I suppose you're getting out at the right time, this phone is OLD.

Old? Our evo still kicks everything out there. Imo this was a game changer for android... Reminds me of my first G1 on tmobile

Thank you for the awesome battery doors. I have a few myself and my ex has one too. We all really appreciate three time and money you put in to it. If it wasn't for you then no one would have a clear battery door on their Evo!!
Just curious, and I hope you don't mind answering. How much profit did you make off these after all was said and done. Please answer!! lol

Thanks for the kind words. I really do try to be positive and look at how to make something happen vs wow, this is going to be difficult. Baby steps and proper planning

This was unexpected.

Well I know this is sudden and possibly stupid, but I'm retiring from ROM development completely for those reasons:
1. I don't have the time anymore. I strive to be a game designer and that's my focus, dividing my attention unfortunately at my age isn't really an option considering I have a job currently and I need to pay the bills.
2. I got stuck in the development of CM7, and with lack of tutorials and my little time I can't really get past beyond the point I'm at. Fret not though, with luck Arco68's CM9 should be around the corner. He's really good and won't disappoint you like me. Give him time though =P
It was a pleasure to give a small push to this phone's community which I will keep an eye on (I will try to run for mod of this phone's forum, who knows, eh). For a good in-development ROM for now, look at cowithgun's rom, he's constantly updating it =P

Hey KP, I hope you will rethink about this decision, because you're an awesome guy and programmer!
But as always, your life comes first. So settle things with your job and then retake ROM development when you have the time for it

a man has to make priorities and your private life always has to come first
You gave the SGW community a big push with your custom ROMs and that´s what counts.

Sad sad news, but as everyone said, personal matters come first, always.
I wish you all the best with your real life.

Stay in touch rite..?well if u don't develop smthing,but at least,just keep on eye in this community ..watch from distance this w community will grown up ..fast.

This is like a re-run of when I was involved in ZTE Blade on Modaco......
Dev wbaw, brilliant guy, always said "this is my last ever ROM" going to concentrate on Building Websites, yadda yadda......
BTW, We Build Any Website...wbaw
but he always came back with more.........and more!!!!
Just make sure you make time for all the other things in life, believe me, it's too short, so take care of the Work-Life Balance.......
like Kids, GF, Wife, Partner....alll come ahead of this stuff...

Only sing any praises AFTER I get CM7 to work... I have a few good ideas on maybe how it will work (maybe).. It's based on a old theory I had when I first thought about porting CM7..

Since we have a new thread about CM7/Oxygen from Kezra I think he gave a second thought, at least for now. Or maybe he's just being able to manage things bt slowing down at the moment.

I would just like to drop in and say THANK YOU to the xda community as a whole.
i am not overly knowledgeable about these things. and the people here have been such a huge help.
originally all i wanted was to optimize my new tablet when i got it (acer a501) did a lot of reading and decided i wanted to root witch was easy... but i hit a snag wile flashing from one rom to another.
and the help flowed in. fast and helpful responses. while i was freaking out thinking i bricked my new toy, my helpers were calm and on point, and got me thru it. and they had no problem taking the time to teach me things that i asked about. now im helping people with simple problems so the experienced people can take on the big jobs......until i learn
so THANK YOU to the devs, cooks, and all the knowledgeable people that make up the best forum on the net.

I'm going to second this one. I don't usually do florid thank-you posts, but I really do appreciate the work going on here. xda gave my phone a second chance at life; WinMo sucked battery life and performance, but with GBX0B my phone feels like it's at least a year newer.

I want to say thanks as well. I discovered this site through a friend. I came here, read through on how to properly install rom and then downloaded a rom and it worked So yes I am on my way. I am not completely new to the Android world but when you deviate you tend to forget things. This site is bringing it all back to memory and helping me discover new things.

I would like also to show my appreciation to this forum and for the many people that support it and it's users.
It is been great on my side and greatly helpful.

I too would like to send out a HUGE thank you to all in the xda community for the compounding wealth of knowledge and experiences within.
It's taken me a little while to get where I am today, but like all things... persistance pays... but could definately not have gotten there without you all.

Yea! ICS is the reason I switched... I'm going to miss sense, but once 4.0 becomes more stable I would have left it anyways... im sure 4.0 is way more stable on this phone than Evo4g already anyways!!! I have 5hours to wait lol... but thank you for the welcome!!! :-D

As usual, read the stickies, get familiar with the acronyms and procedures before flashing Anything. Seriously. And especially before playing with ICS. (Lots of bricked phones lately coming from not reading carefully.)
Also, look up, and watch Qbking77 on YouTube. TONS of great info and tutorials from him, real life saver.

A Thank You to all the Devs

Hey Devs & Helpers out there,
Just wanted to write a thank you to all the hard work you put in, gratis, for our device.
I cannot overstate how fantastic it is to have a wide selection of roms for our phone, as it gives the user so many options and things to look forward to in terms of updates, functionality, battery life, etc - the list goes on and on.
It's really made this website a haven, as well as an addiction for myself, and has also made my phone usage (and distractions at the office!) go through the roof. Whenever I use my phone in public, on the subway or whatever, I'm hoping there is another user out there who realizes the graphics / interface on my phone is unique, and can inspire them to "achieve" the same. Perhaps I'll even try to do a little programming myself at some point (although my CS101 class in college was probably one of my biggest challenges - and that's for an ME!)
Once again, best regards and much thanks to those hard working devs out there, who deserve nothing but our gratitude and support. Don't thank this post, thank all the devs who put in time day in and day out. Keep on truckin'!

Agreed. I was late to the game with smartphones...buying my DInc2 last July was my first. I was going to wait to root after my warranty was over, but after rooting my wife's nook color, I ventured over to this forum to see what was going on for my phone. Needless to say, it was probably two weeks after browsing this forum that I started enjoying what the hardworking devs have been up to.
I also wouldn't mind venturing into the development aspect of Android but my wife would kill me if I spent even more time on my phone.

I couldn't have said it any better, thanks all you devs and themers for all your hard work

Here here!! Another huge thanks to all the devs out there using their personal time to make our phones (and everyone else's for that matter) well worth keeping! There's been plenty of times I wanted to tell a dev how awesome their Rom was but it's taken me some time to get past this 10 post rule. Lol.

haha, I know exactly what you mean. I'm more a lurker than a poster here, but i'm finding myself wanting to mention bugs or issues i'm having with some of the newer builds. That dang 10 comment rule!
