Bluetooth Mouse -what is best? - Xoom Accessories

Can you guys post which mice you have used with successful connections on 3.1? I've read the MS 5000 had issues and I wanna go pick one up but that's all that Best Buy sells. I already have a keyboard so I just need/want a very small bluetooth mouse. Thanks.

Ms 5000 works fine.

Yup, works just fine.

thanks, Maybe I will just try it. I read some reports that it connected but didn't do anything.

apple magic mouse. no need to click+flick mouse. the mouse responds to swipe gestures. to pair it, 0000.

+1 on Magic Mouse. One finger scrolling works like a charm. I also have the Magic Trackpad but it doesn't seem to support any gestures.

hmnnn......apple product connected to the Xoom? Would feel so dirty........

MS 5000 works perfectly
I had to keep trying to get it to connect (it paired right away) but when it did connect, it was fine. I really liked using it with the speaker dock and the BT keyboard.

Only problem with the magic mouse is that there is not smooth scrolling option. Since the mouse does not have a slotted wheel it feels very jumpy

picked up the ms 5000 and it works great. I can run a full server desktop without issue and it's the right size to carry around. I already have a mini BT keyboard so now if I need full capability of a laptop I have it (or as near as you can get). Thanks for the suggestions, pairing was easy and it works out of the box.

Microsoft....ARC Mouse....
Does anyone know if the Microsoft ARC touch mouse will work. I know it comes with the USB Nano connector but I love the style and just need it to work with bluetooth.
Thanks

I have the older Apple Bluetooth mouse with the scrolling ball on top. Works really well!

Had this since my netbook and now my xoom. Very small, portable and battery life is excellent.

This may work if you plug the USB receiver into an OTG cable that then is plugged into the xoom. I heard the wireless receiver for the 360 controller works this way.

Logitech is coming out with a Bluetooth mouse designed specifically for Honeycomb:
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/tablet-accessories/for-android/devices/tablet-mouse-android
Keyboard too:
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/tablet-accessories/for-android/devices/tablet-keyboard-android
It's nice to see Android getting some attention from Manufacturer's in terms of accessories. I am tired of everything under the sun made for Apple while everyone else gets nothing.

It's really just the old v470 with a higher price tag though. But yes, good to see support coming through.
I would go with the Logitech M555B. Works great, and has a frictionless wheel mode.

WTF? How is this ANY different from any other of the 1000 BT mice out there?! Talk about opportunistic marketing!
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App

The difference with Logitech and their "Tablet Mouse for Android" device (which really appears to be their old V470 bluetooth mouse), is that they are actually saying in the box that it "officially" works with Android and there is "official" Android support from Logitech.
What this means to is that the general layperson can feel safe that their device is fully supported in Honeycomb tablets. Should there be an issue, the customer can probably call Logitech customer service and have official Android support.
The fact that several Bluetooth mice work just fine with the Xoom is known to us who read XDA and android blogs but I am sure that Logitech is not really marketing to XDA people but rather regular people.
I think that, in the grand scheme of things; this is good for the future of Android. Look at what Apple did with their "Works with iPod" program. It is so great that we have a well known company supporting Android. Hopefully this pushes more companies to provide more "official" support for the Android platform.
---------------------
And just to contribute to the list of Bluetooth mice that work with the Xoom on Android 3.1
The Razer Orochi gaming mouse is a great option that works great with the Xoom
This is a beautifully built device and it completely matches the Xoom's aesthetics as well as those of the Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard. It is not cheap by any means but it works great with the Xoom (and with my PC and Mac as well).

I like to call it "the best of both worlds"

Webtop hack keyboard to use

I'm basically looking to buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use for the Webtop hack. I've seen the cheap mini ones on ebay but are those worth it? Any suggestions?

I bought a Flashpoint iBoard and waiting for it to ship. It's essentially an apple clone, but i dont think it's cheaply made. Did some research, and supposedly the company making it sold it almost right after apple made their's. Problem was that they MSRP'd it around the same price as the apple keyboard, so it didnt sell thus lower it's price. SO, Anodized Aluminum Construction and free rubber cover all for less than 40 bucks on amazon sounds, good to me.
I just use my Apple bluetooth keyboard. I've also used an iGo Stowaway keyboard, both work just fine.
Any will work, even a cheapo will do.

In webtop mode, the bluetooth mouse works as well, but not out of it. There's not way to adjust the acceleration and the mouse flies through all the desktops on the phone just touching the mouse.
The Logitech DiNovo keyboard works well. I think any bluetooth keyboard with a touchpad would work pretty well. As mentioned, sensitivity is fairly high, so touchpads work quite well.
i tried my apple magic mouse, that works, but i can't get my apple Bluetooth keyboard to work...

Hm. Bluetooth Mouses?

Hello,
Well, I have the Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard for Android 3.0+.
And then I was wondering....
They have a Logitech Bluetooth Mouse for Android 3.1+
It's 49.95 and it seems expensive to me.
I was wondering if there are any other Bluetooth mouses that I can use fine with my Gtab10.1 that are not so expensive.
If anyone can give me links to any sites and products that work well for this, please reply.
Thanks!
I wish they made it a little thinner, but I'm glad they are marketing specifically to Android. *warm fuzzy*
So I'm tempted to get the logitech just for the latter fact, but will probably wait for something a little more portable.
I'll report back if I find anything noteworthy.
Yea, same here. And thanks!

I went ahead and ordered the Android Logitech because I'm a nerd.
Unfortunately, I selected free shipping through Amazon and it will be a long 5-10 business days for me.
As I said, I wish it was a tad thinner, but as long as it fits in my Tab bag then I'll be happy.
Doesn't have to be bluetooth
My roommate picked up a wireless mouse that uses a tiny usb receiver for use with his Toshiba Thrive. He plugged it in and the mouse worked without a hitch. For giggles, I tossed my usb adapter on and then inserted the usb receiver, and it worked with my Galaxy Tab right away... Until I find the perfect bluetooth mouse, I might simply pick up a Microsoft Arc mouse or something similar that folds away nice and flat.
Food for thought.

Okay, I got this little fella in the mail last night and it is not as big as it looks from the online pictures. If it was thinner I think it would be very uncomfortable. I'm still playing with it. If I get a chance tonight I'll make a short video and show ya'll what's up with my little blue buddy.

The Android mouse is well made and connected easily, but right-click does not seem to work and highlighting text is buggy or doesn't work at all.
How is the V470 with that?

Ever try to pair up your bluetooth keyboard to your Epic 4G Touch? (It's Awesome!)

Was just reading a post on gizmodo about best wireless keyboards link here... and finally found good use to my lenovo bluetooth keyboard sitting in the closet... it paired up with my phone absolutely no problem, now I can take notes and type like never before...
Take that, tiny blackberry keyboard.
Done it with a Logitech Android Bluetooth keyboard and a Thermaltake Bluetooth mouse. Awaiting arrival of my MHL adapter so I can hook up to a spare monitor.
going to buy a asus, transformer prime for that!

I'm also tempted by this concept. I think there would be a transition period where I moved all of my media and everyday use to my phone (with a keyboard and mouse and full size monitor)...and I bet it would be rapid and I'd only keep my PC for the only thing anyone uses PCs for anymore: Content production.
The only time I *need* a PC is for work stuff: Photoshop, Vegas, excel. Also Audition and a few other pro audio apps out of work...and I'm sure the excel thing could be taken out the the equation pretty quickly.
Everything else? Media consumption, web browsers, communications, etc...all on the phone and/or tablet now. To be able to take my main computer with me would be fantastic...it would also make PocketCloud infinitely more useful on a full screen with a full desktop interface (kb/mouse/full screen).
This is going to happen. Between "the cloud" and our own smaller clouds (home networks, SAN/NAS/Home Servers, media sharing hardware, etc) keeping a quad core 300-500 watt behemoth around is getting less and less necessary.
The only grey area so far is 'games', but, most people consume those on game consoles so that's likely a moot point.
...an interesting time to be alive in many ways, technology especially.
Yeah I did this as well. I never could pair it to my original epic.

Bluetooth Mouse?

Hey,
I am looking for a bluetooth mouse that can pair directly to the phone.
I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Y6CJJ8/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details
And although it works great on the PC, it doesn't have any kind of independent pairing without the dongle.
Can anyone link a bluetooth mouse that they can confirm working on the Galaxy Nexus?
I bought the Motorola blue-tooth mouse and keyboard and they work great.
The mouse by itself is $30 but if you buy the keyboard for $40 they give you the mouse for free! (Just be sure to add them both to your cart)
http://www.store.motorola.com/Wirel...JK7GE0?ie=UTF8&prevPageletDesc=DP:Accessories
They had this deal in December and I picked them both up. They work well, just bear in mind there is very limited right click functionality in Android. I had a grand vision of using remote desktop on my phone to access my home PC but quickly came to realize without right click it's kinda difficult.
Hopefully right click support will improve.
I'm using this one and is working great with my GN: http://www.serioux.com/products/keyboards/srx-prc82

Successfully using a Logitech M-RBB93 with 4.0.2 right now. I guess it could be useful for presentations.
I have the Logitech M310 and it will not pair. AM I doing something wrong?
I have this one that I use from logitech: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Blue...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1337988329&sr=1-1
It is one that I just had kicking around (I believe I got it as a gift one year) and I dont use it that often but I just sync'd it with my phone no problem and it gets the job done. However if you plan on using the phone a lot as a desktop computer I would suggest that you get a different one since its not very ergonomically suited for long periods of use (IMO although it could be just that since my hands are pretty big it is just uncomfortable for me to use for a long period).
I use a Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 mouse, paired quickly and works well. Got it on sale for $24.99 so I'm happy.

1) Make sure the mouse isn't currently paired with another device.
2) Tap the "connect" button on the mouse to make it discoverable.

my bluetooth mouse have an usb adapter for the laptop (its called logitech unifying receiver), so i think it's not a standart bluetooth mouse maybe
because there is no way to see the mouse with my gn, or even with the bluetooth on the laptop, only work with the adapter
not a big deal anyway..
What sort of applications will a BT mouse be compatible with? Buying a mouse for a phone seems hardly worth it.

Any and all applications, really. It may not make much sense (to you) for use on the phone's screen, but what about when you make use of the HDMI video output and have your phone displayed on your TV? And, of course, since it is the Bluetooth standard, you're not buying a mouse JUST for a phone. The mouse will work on anything that supports the Bluetooth HID.
Ah yes I had totally forgotten about HDMI output onto the TV. For convenience I suppose a BT mouse would be the best alternative.
I use this mouse with my Nexus GSM, works quite well, I also use it with many other computing items. Paid too much for it but I love the way it looks and how it feels in my hand.

Bluetooth Android Keyboard

Hi guys,
Do any Note owners use a bluetooth keyboard? (and mouse?)
Instead of buying a PC for my bedroom which I don't really need, I am just gonna connect my Note to my TV using the HDMI cable but it would be nice if I had a decent keyboard and mouse to use when browsing the web. They do not have to be tiny since they will be used at home but does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!
Pictures, videos, links welcome.

Honestly man they all work equally well. I have the Motorola BT keyboard and it's very comfortable. It includes the media features like the play/pause/stop/skip/and volume as well as some shortcut buttons for the browser, music, back, and home button. It's nice and easy to use. I also have the logitech mouse and it works nicely. But it's really up to what would be most comfortable to you as they all work pretty much the same.

I have the logitech keyboard and it does not work with the stock rooted GB note OOTB. I am waiting for ICS to troubleshoot it if I will even need to. Supposedly it will work with anything above android 3.0. It does come with a very nice multi-function case/stand though, so when it does work with the note I will probably begin carrying it instead of my laptop.
