Has someone running navigon on wildfire S?
I tried it for days, but I get always an error, like "this application navigon process com.navigon has stopped"

I have 2.3.3, but it seems all those version I found on google, just support Android 2.2?
I have the same problems.
I've been used navigon with wildfire with no problems (version 2.5.1).
But with wildfire s I have problems. Both with v 2.5.1. and 2.6.1
If anyone can give us any usefull info....

I had running 3.5.4.
And now I have running 3.6.0, perfectly with Q1 2011 maps.
Why not use co-pilot?
I have it on mine and it works fine
am running Navigon MobileNavigator Version 3.6.0 (Build 1103, NK 11) perfectly on my Wildfire S.....
I like Google Maps more (go in options and select satellite). It's better and neat.
but the nice thing about Navigon/CoPilot is that you can have the map offline which is far better than Google Maps.....
You can cache maps on Google maps with the recent updates.

I used market before (last time about 5 month ago) through market enabler and VPN together.
But now I just flashed ARHD 5.2.5 ROM and can't use market anyway. Do some searches and was said market enabler doesn't work with new Android market. so I downgrade Market to 2.3.6 (april 2011) as directed here :

But unfortunately It didn't work again. I tried both "market access" and "market enabler" with VPN to access the market but they didn't work.
Actually there's a problem when I open Market while changed my provider by market enabler or market access: VPN is terminated and says connection lost
Any solution?
EDIT: just flash radio again (this time after flashing ROM) and vpn problem has been solved. then used old market version with market enabler and it just works fine!

Hi all
I have a weird problem here
I can not update "almost" any of my application on the new market 3.1.5
When I press on update it keep saying "Loading" without loading the page.
This happened with almost every application I have
The weird thing is that I can download and install new application !!!!!!!!!
I dont know what to do !??!!?!?!?!
Also I have notes that this market is slower than the older one, I dont know if this is normal
My Phone is Desire and I am on Cyanogenmod 7 Rom (Andriod 2.3.3)
Have you tried updating to the 3.1.6 market? I believe that has some bug fixes

So could you pls tell me how to update to it ?!?!

I am also having the same problem's as you on my D3, DX and OD with different users and while using both wifi and 3g. The only permanent fix that I could come up with is freezing "market updater" with Titanium Backup and than uninstall updates for the market apps by doing this settings>applications>Manage applictions>Market>uninstall updates. It puts me back onto market ver. 2.3.6 (which works fine).
Yeah, the new market is slower than the old one. Reasong for this might be our phone's hardware. I recommend to go back to old 2.3.6 market. Works like a charm.

I have a HTC Desire (A8181) which has been rooted and runs Cyanogenmod 7. I recently upgraded to the Nexus 4 and gave this phone to my wife who wanted to connect to her office emails. When setting up the account, it failed with Policy errors stating "Device encryption is not supported on this device". I looked up and found that Android 2.3 does not have this.
My question: Can I get this device encryption feature by upgrading to a higher version of the OS like ICS? Or is there a work around to get this to work on the existing OS?
The details of my device:
HTC Desire A8181
Rooted with CWM
Running Cyanogenmod 7.2.0.1 (extended memory to 2GB using Data2SDInstaller)
Any help on this is much appreciated. I did look up the forum for similar posts, but didn't find any!

You try to download SSE - Universal Encryption App from play store..... I think you can get this feature
You could try an aokp rom which has 4.2.2 avaible for it which may have device encryption that the email requires.

I want to install xbox music. But it is only avilable for android 4,0+ so i also made the play belive i have a htc one zo install navigon. That works fine. In the settings it says still desire, but in play it's a one XD.
So i now wanted the me for android 4.0 i changed the build version from 2.3.5 ro 4.0 in build.prop under settings it says i have a android 4.0 but i still can not download xbox music from play.
So how can i make play belive i have a android 4.0?

I don't think 4.x made apps work on Android 2.3.

I really think it will work because navigon works too XD. There it says desire with 2.3.5 not kompatible. But htc one with 2.3.5 no problem it works. And there is no problem with the navigation software.
So at what parts the build prop, or what file ecer tells the play store the android version?? I changed 2.3.5 at the very top zo 4.0 or do i need to write 4.0.0??

Lol, hacking the system to get around rules wont always work. In this case the app might actually not work like Andu said. Gingerbread is missing many API's that 4+ versions of android have, and if the app is using one of them, then it simply wont work. Ive attached the APK so that you can try to install it, but no guarantees that it'll work.

I recently rooted my desire HD and installed viper 4.0.4 sense 4.1 ... The main reason was to be able to get the latest app from play store ( google keep etc no longer supported on standard HTC software).
Anyway, I recently received a system update and when i try to install it fails with the message illegal_viper.zip. I would like to either install the update or remove the update notification from the top bar and live with what I've got.
Any help would be much appreciated

I assume you mean ViperDHD 2.3.0?
OTA is evidently borked & this project is evidently dead. Translation is don't do the update and IMHO do whatever you can to prevent any OTA activity at all since it is dead.
