Flash not working sort of... - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running warm 2.2 and I've installed flash 10.3 but I have an intermittent problem where I get the little blue lego brock with a question mark on flash content, but if I go to adobe s flash test page it says flash is installed. What should I do? (oh I use xscope as my default browser if that helps)

Just a quick question. Well i know on android market has the new flash update or what not. When i hit install everything goes fine and after its done downloading it says app does not have the correct sign on or it hasn't been sign. But now the app itself is stuck on my app list and i can't take it off or install it. Any ideas? Running skyraider sense 3.1. Thx again

[Q] Cannot Flash Radio/PRI/WiMAX

For some reason I can't flash my radio/wimax/pri to the latest versions for some reason, I boot into ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0 and run the .zip file and it looks like it's running and it says updating radios for a split second then it takes me back to recovery.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I think you have to reboot before it flashes the images
I have tried first flashing the rom and then reboot into recovery and flash the .zip file but it still does the same thing, run for a split second and then go back to recovery and when I boot and check the radio version iit shows no change

Try using a lower version of clockworkmod... lots of problems for people with the versions 3+. I currently use 2.6.0.1 and everything works perfectly. 3+ is meant for the newest of new Rom's like Cyanogen 7... if your not on that, flash an older version.
P.s. stick with 2.6.0.1 as it backs up your wimax keys...

I will give that a shot. Thanks for the help!

In rom manager it only shows 2.5.0.7
Is there a link to how to flash to 2.6.0.1?

Yes I'm on my evo so I'm not going go searching for it... but you should be able to find it fairly easy. If I remember correctly I had to get the correct file, then rename it to pc3600.img then boot into bootloader and it will auto find it and ask you if you want to start the update.
Or you could just use the version that Rom Manager has but it wont back up your wimax and if you somehow lose that you'll hate your life...

After some research I found an image and some steps to flash the recovery. After that the install and radio updates went flawless. I really appreciate the advice!

i have downloaded a Rom named IncRom_1.1 via Rom manager app it works fine and i like it. The only issue is that i wanted to download a new Rom but i cant install it. It will download with no problems and it will begin to install but just before it is done installing it just reboots and my current Rom is still there can someone help me. Im still kinda new to this whole thing my mobile device is the Droid Incredible thanks in advance
You can try manually flashing it in recovery or maybe try going back to an older version of clockwork mod.

Being someone who took five months before I tried to flash manually due to issues with a browser, just say screw rommanager, causes more problems than anything :/

So what in your opinion is a good substitute for rom manager

Wrong place for this thread, but try a manual install via CWM. Reboot into recovery or turn phone off and hold down pwr+volume down then install via SD card.

Maybe try wiping the cache etc. That's what happened when I tried to flash my stock rom from virtuous. Yeah the best is go into recovery and flash it from there.

Did you download the flash player/reflash the rom?
I went to the market but it states I already have it installed, so I can't download it again, and I tried uninstalling it but there is no option in the application manager, and the market.

your problem is that the new update for flash is ****, all you need to do is go to settings, apps, manage apps, go to flash player and click uninstall updates, it should be back and working after that,
I wish that was true but when I go to all apps within the manager apps there is no flash player update in there, but the flash player is in all, but there is no option to uninstall the player.

Use titanium backup to uninstall the flash player. Then install this one. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19699565/Surprise_flash.apk

I'm on LeeDrOiD too.
I always have to remove flash with titanium backup and re-install it from Play Store.
Do that, it will work ;-)
