i don´t fully understand you but i can say that focus feature its like the name say "autofocus" its totally automatic, you only can enable or disable autofocus with dhd camera...
the photo efects are in a button that its a wand, but don´t remember if the cm camera has it

Its seems like it dont have autofocus.i think that no.
And where do i enable the autofocus ?
I dont have the wand in what opration system does he have it ?

i´m talking about sense rom (sense camera of course) the exactly rom its in my sygnature...
for enable autofocus enter in settings with camera turned on... in this menu its the option available

I'm kinda new with Desire HD i dont really know what is rom.
What is Sense ? Its some kind of Launcher like AWD ?

I just tried the Xperia Camera on the Touch HD.
The speed of the screen is amazing. Too bad I cannot make a picture (no hardware button)
But if someone knows how to programm and can make the Xperia Cammera app to run on Touch HD, plz holla!

Hi Xmoo
I don't understand, what do u mean by using the Xperia Camera on the Touch HD , does this mean that there is a replacement software for the HD camera, cos the current camera software on HD is not up to my expectation most comes out blurry despite the settings found here in this great forum pages... I'm sure the camera on the HD is capable of much more given the 5 MP it uses.

I'm @ belgium now.
When I go home I will make a demo video and also share the files here.
I just copied the Camera software from the Xperia and pasted it on the root of my SD card on the Touch HD.
Opend it and it worked (kinda)
can you share that app with us?
i'm getting crazy with the hd camera. it's working outdoor at perfect light conditions, but as soon as you don't have ideal conditions, it's unusable...

I've added the cab in post #1.
Just extract it on ur phone, and start the .exe
The screen is very dark. To try and see how fast the cam works.
Point ur phone to laptop/pc monitor or television.
Don't know why it's so dark. Think it's a driver issue or somethin.

Thanks for posting. Re darkness it seems like it is not programmed for the lens position on the HD. When I go close to a screen can see a pinhole lens effect. Could be probably wrong ;-)

It is indeed much faster and more responsive. I wonder if a port is possible?

No didn't see much difference but it's difficult without having any buttons available and just looking at a darkened screen. Hope we will see something come of it. I don't have such expertise or time unfortunately.

I renamed the CameraRunner.exe to Camera.exe and copied all files uploaded by xmoo to the Windows folder. When I did that it becomes the main camera for the device and by pressing around on the screen new options appear but still with no text. I somehow did manage to change the camera to video while pressing around on the screen and also managed to make the screen go white for some reason and could see the lens working faintly like when it is black.
Took some poor quality shots of what I got. Can you confirm where the Xperia camera files are located on the Xperia device?
Managed to get the original HTC camera back after overwriting the Xperia one I renamed.

Yeah, i also had this function first when i received my Defy. Froyo fixes it but it has laaaags and phone's getting hot.

Well the colours of the flag are correct, but the orientation is wrong .
I flash CyanogenMod-7.1.0-DesireHD.
Anybody know how can I flash back face detection in camera. cos stock Rom have this but I can't found after flash CyanogenMod. Please help.
There is no front camera on the DHD, so face detection would be kind of useless to be honest.

Thanks Raze, No, I means in main camera. There are wizard to take photo automatic and with face detection function. I am 100% sure and I always use to take photo with my son. does anybody know it ?

That is a feature of the HTC camera which will not work on any non sense rom. If you want this feature you will have to run a sense based rom
Well i know there are lot of threats on this topic but i want to ask each and everybody for a while that is it possible to make a camera app similar to that of sense camera.
i will explain how. the sense camera has a great working on focusing the particular area on the screen. i mean for example you want click a flower then in sense camera app you just have to put your hand on the screen and it will tell the camera sensor to zoom on that particular level.
now this functionality is sort of supported by MIUI camera. but not a single app on the play store ever able come at par with the sense camera app. i tried and flashed almost all the apps available from marked, but in vain they failed. the image processing quality of sense app is also much better.
will we ever able to get like that kind of camera app for out willy. still in know that the sense framework is closed source but still getting the same fun of 2.3.7 will a great add on.
Impossible to have sense like camera on gb.Lgcamera can focus things decently.

because sense camera libs that were created for willy.Plus sense camera requires sense framework to work with which is almost impossible to port.HTC has integrated a lot of things within framework unlike using an apk separately for some purpose.

well LG camera didn't take it too. it only focus in the center of the screen not on everywhere and the post processing quality not up to the mark even.
Hello guys, what about manual control on htc camera. I've tested some nougat roms but it feature doesnt work. Some know any exception about that? or can i do get manual control on another app using nougat roms?
You won't find a fully functional camera app for N roms.
On the htc camera in manual mode you can set focus, ev, white balance and that's it. Other camera apps can change iso, but they aren't that good.
