Just a quick question.
I'm gonna update my modem to EB13 from EC05 via Odin, but I just want to make sure what I'm doing is right.
All I do is open odin, put the EB13_modem_update.zip in the Phone slot, put the phone in download mode, and click start right?
Heres a picture (the phones not plugged in yet)
Someone please respond.
That's correct if it's the right file. I can't see it, in a bar. Looks good though

Here... I uploaded the EB13 modem for you... download it from here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20210101/EB13_modem.tar
Just stick that in the pda slot, check it, and only have auto reboot checked and you'll be good to go. Make sure your phone is in download mode.

It scared me at first because it failed the first time and I removed the phone (It wouldn't boot at all!) But I was able to put it in download mode and it worked the second time. Thanks so much!
Oh and my youtube app disappeared...anyone have a download link?

No problem! Glad you got it going.
Also my google search keeps asking me to agree and it won't go away...
I tried clearing data already.
Yeah...youtube's not working.
Never mind, I got it!
I just killed some of the services and it works.

This is for CDMA Sprint Nexus S 4G only!!!!
This will reload your NS4G back to its original state from the factory. This will take away root and erase ALL data.
This would be helpful if you phone won't boot or need to return it back to Sprint. This will take it back to stock.

Extract the zip file to your computer and then run setup.exe.

oK guys, this is not a flashable zip. You extract it to the computer and run the setup.exe inside the zip file.
correct it has teh stock files in it, its a front end for odin.
No OSX version?

I am running this from Windows7. Do I need anything else? the interface keeps giving me an error when I press the download button. I have rebooted the computer and made sure no adb.exe files were running in windows. I have shut off my antivirus as well just in case.
Edit: Redid all the steps again. Shut down the Microsoft security client. and it is working fine now. I also copied the Samsung folder from Program Files X86 to Program Files X64 just in case it needed to be in both spots. I am running W7 X64. I remember the HTC drivers needed to be in both spots to operate correctly.
Edit:Edit - You will also have to reactivate the phone when the install is complete. Hope they dont charge me another activation fee.
Can be used in Odin
Also found out that you can use Odin to flash this. Inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade for SPH-D720\Binary there is a tar file called SPH-D720_GRJ22_PDA.tar. You can put this into the PDA section in Odin and flash the ROM.

Haha good one!
I've been trying to root my TMo GS3 since about 445am this morning. I can get into download mode, I can flash the .TAR. Phone reboots fine, When I reboot into recovery, I get the stock recovery every time. I've tried a few different versions of CWM and TW and I get the same thing every time, Nothing. I bought this phone used, 2 weeks old, and it has 4.04 on it. Anybody have any insight for me? This is not my first time tinkering either. I've been here since the Sprint Mogul, and I can usually get it figured out. But this time, I'm stumped. Any help?
ADDED: I've also tried "Flashed with ODIN agian, latest CWM Touch 6.0.1.2, deselected AUTO REBOOT and F. Reset TIme, waited for it to PASS installation, pulled battery " and it still DID NOT WORK. Got that from here http://androidandme.com/thread/att-galaxy-s3-wont-boot-into-clockworkmod-recovery/

UPDATE...I used this method and it worked
I think those are for the original build LE6 though.
Use odin to get your recovery installed but uncheck auto reboot.
When done unplug and hold power untill the screen turns off. Immediately let go of power and then press and hold Power + Volume up + Home. (Be quick)
When you see blue text flash on top of screen release power but keep holding other two until you get into recovery. (You may not have to keep holding home and vol, but its always wirked for me)
Now flash your SuperSU/Superuser and reboot.
Once booted delete/rename these files:
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
This will stop stock recovery from being rewritten.
Now using goo or rom manager reinstall recovery again if you so choose.
Hope that helps.

Can i flash the tmobile stock odin file on the metro pcs s4? I've read conflicting claims. Some say it works and some say it wont. Just need to clarify before i do it!
Not sure about that. There will be kernel differences and such. Can you tell us why you want to ODIN flash the stock FW instead of flashing a flashable stock FW through recovery?

Alright. Try this even if you have tried it before:
1) Download this unofficial M919N stock rom since an official one doesn't exist as far as I'm aware.
2) Press the Volume Down + Home + Power button until you get into Download mode. Press up to continue. You will now be in download mode.
3) Open up Odin, select PDA, select the file you downloaded in step 1.
4) Make sure Auto-Reboot is the only thing that is checked.
5) Press Start.
6) Wait for it to finish and you should be able to access your phone. Then go into Settings, the More tab, About Device, then click Status. Scroll all the way down and copy your Serial #.
7) Open up Kies and see if it lets you upgrade your FW to the official M919N MetroPCS one.
Let me know how it goes.

First, forgive me if this question has already been asked/answered, I can't seem to find it.
Anyway, I recently flashed a version of cwm recovery on my friends phone, using an update. zip from stock recovery. Now, whenever I try to boot into recovery, I see the cwm logo for an instant, and then the screen starts flashing different shades of black, grey and white, an it stays like that until I turn off the phone with a long press on the power button. I can boot into download mode, and the phone works fine, but I can't get into recovery, which I need to flash a new rom. Since the phone dosent belong to me, I'm really anxious to fix this quickly. Please help!

I was trying to install viper4android and it got out of hand. i decided to factory reset then restore a backup i had made earlier, when i try to do this it says it failed and then It asks me if i want to install supersu but i already have it installed so i put no. Also when i try to reboot it says Set Warranty Bit: kernel on the top right. What can i do? everytime i try to reboot it gets stuck there. Also on a possibly unrelated note the backup was compressed when i made it, do i need to decompress the file?

It's kinda really hard to permanently brick these phones. As long as you can get to download mode you can usually get back with odin.
