Thinking of getting the simple book case in mahogany myself
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App

Probably going to buy one next week. Looks like they did something even Verizon and Mot can't wrap their heads around.
They made cutouts for charging a device.... go figure.... people like devices that have power .

That's great! Thanks

nice. if anyone gets one can you make a vid review?

I just placed an order for a Keeper style case. I'll post up some pics and review/impressions once I have it in my hands. I customized the color so don't know how much additional time that will take before it ships, and then it has to make it across the border to Canada...

Very nice cases.
I would have definitely bought the simple book case if I didn't buy a kevikev a few weeks ago.

I just got one of the sleeve types, with my name on it! <glee>

It arrived! Keeper case in Natural Soft Red. I have a couple images I took but since I don't normally post it won't allow me to include them due to low post-count.
First impressions - it looks and feels fantastic. The leather is firm enough to protect but feels silky smooth on the hand. The color I chose is even better than I anticipated (you never know when looking at a monitor), and man do they ever give you a lot of choice in that regard. In fact, I just noticed the stitching is color matched with the leather - red stitching on the exterior red leather, black stitching on the interior.
When I first inserted the Xoom I thought the little magnetic clip/tab bit that holds it closed was faulty and too short. User error: it actually pulls out and retracts on an elastic connection. The Xoom itself fits snugly, not so tight it's difficult to get in but once it's in it doesn't move around at all. All controls are easily accessible.
There are cutouts on the back for the camera/speaker/flash cluster on one side and the speaker on the other. There is no cutout on the bottom for charging/USB while closed. Given the excellent battery life I've been getting so far on the Xoom I'm not turned off by this at all, but it's important for some. There are, naturally, notches in the cover to use while in stand-mode.
Oh... and it smells GREAT
Overall I am super impressed. This is far and away superior to the official Xoom case I almost bought and ended up costing me almost exactly the same. Totally worth the wait for the custom color. Totally recommended for Xoom owners, and since they make cases for just about everything I will be recommending Fortte to anyone else I know looking for gadget cases. Excellent work.

I received my side slider last week, and I have to echo the statements made by gaspump- the feel and look is fantastic, it has my name stamped into it as well.
After having used both the rubber and leather VZW cases, this thing blows them both away both in comfort, style and fit.

Good cases all around, but how mch bulk these add ? and how is the overall girth affected ? Anybody can clarify that?
I already think that present atrix is just right with its weight and girth so cases might just disturb that.

I just now dropped my phone on the concrete driveway on my way into the house. Luckily, I have the first case/sleeve adorning my Atrix - actually a very close variant without that slick translucent back. Mine is just "all black everything". I smiled as I picked it up off the ground. You know that cracking, smacking sound that your brand new cool-ass super phone makes when it hits the ground? Well mine did not make a sound. The only reason I knew I dropped it is because I felt something missing from my hand. If the first case is anything like the one wrapped around my Atrix - get it. I smiled as I picked it up, just thumbed the dust off the impact corner....
Solid a phone as the Atrix is, that was a guaranteed scratch/dent or what have you without that case.
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/g-zed-g-zed-mobile-motorola-atrix-case-black-gzmoatrskin1/10167359.aspx?path=6447e55fb4e9d37985389c4f76d43d4aen02
I also have the second one - "ROCK". I had high hopes for it with it's low profile and all, but it's in my stuff drawer now. It's a loose fit on the Atrix, and does not offer full impact protection. Your Atrix extends past the protective limits of the case's cut-outs at key spots. An unfortunate drawback to the case's uber thin profile. A well placed fall will more than likely result in scarring. Moreover, the finish on the Rock case, while pretty and matte, is just as slippery, if not more so than the Atrix itself. It feels too insecure in my hands. The first TPU case (or at least the one I have from Best Buy there) is like glue and then slippy when it counts. For example, I can "stick" my phone on my laptop screen and hang it there as I'm dev'ing or flashing, or on a support call for work or what have you and it stays quite put until I remove it. I can also stick it on 90 degree vertical glass surfaces, almost vertical on my ultra suede couch, and other felt type surfaces. At the same time it slips unencumberd into my tight denim jeans pocket without fuss. Well I guess it's just the nature of TPU, so if you've had TPU cases before you might already know this.
Having both myself, I'd highly recommend the first one (as long as it's like the one in the Best Buy link which I believe it is) It's thicker, but it's so bearable it's like the Atrix should have come with it from the factory. It MIGHT add a millimeter to the entire depth of the phone. It's also a sure grip on your Atrix - I know you've wished your Atrix was not as slippy as it is.
I might post some pictures of my Atrix spider-manning all over the place later in its TPU case.
Momax all the way.
i just updated all the links ! sorry for the bad links !
the rock ultra thin case is really thin and doesnt add alot of bulk to it . really living to its name of naked shell . haha

New custom case

Hi All,
I just ordered this case for my wife's A100.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060N4OIK/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
I have a case for my A500, from the same manufacturer, that I am very happy with.
Should get it later today. I can post my thoughts on it once it arrives if anyone is interested.
Wow, this case looks excellent--just like the one I had on my Transformer. Thanks for posting!
Just e-mailed seller, no shipping to Canada, and no equivalent cases on eBay

Just wait, when they are new it just takes some time.
How is this only $15????? And eligible for Amazon Prime, too!
This case is absolutely phenomenal.
Feels like you're holding a dense leather rectangle of quality.
-Fit and finish is perfection
-Thing is completey rigid (no twist or slop-- unlike those bezel-covering slide-in-pocket flip cases)
- Stand is solid and stable
- The clasp mechanism feels fantastic (really, when this thing is closed, it feels locked down).
- Protects the screen, back plastic, and corners. Seems to offer about as much shock/crush/drop protection as any case I've ever seen, yet adds very little in the way of bulk and mass.
- Access to all ports/plugs
Can't exaggerate how much I love this case. Protection factor aside, the thing simply makes me like using my table more.
Thanks for the review! Definitely going with this case now.

Glad to hear my review was useful--post back with your impressions of the case when you get a chance.
[email protected]! I waited too long and Amazon is sold out with no restock date. There are several cases out there, but the Blurex was the only one I saw with corner clips instead of the chunky looking leather frame.
I contacted Blurex to see if there were any other resellers, and they said that it would be back in stock on Amazon shortly. A few hours later, and it's back in stock!
how sure are you that it would help survive a fall while open and in use...looks like it would pop out...
trying to decide between thsi and
the acer bumpter case
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/LC.BAG0A.070
Depending on height of fall and hardness of contact surface, I'm not sure I'd bet on a pane of glass in any case, but the Blurex's corner-clips do hold the tablet with some serious authority. It'd take some funky, but not impossible, physics to pop it out.
The bumper case you linked to looks like what I had in mind before going for the Blurex offering. I figured the small form factor made the A100 more like a reach-for-it-and-go phonelet than a full tablet, so I wanted a hard, snap case with no flap to contend with. When using the tablet in portrait, I'll occasionally get annoyed with the folded-back flap, but the more complete protection and premium/professional appearance/feel of the Blurex case more than make up for it.
I received the Blurex case mentioned by the OP yesterday.
Quite frankly, I have not seen any case fit any device better.
It significantly reduces the amount of bulk the "OEM" case has;
Because it basically has *no* sides, it does not have the OEM case's problem of ports not lining up quite right; and
Its material seems higher quality and is easier to grip in my opinion.
Also, under current (not Black Friday) pricing, it costs only half as much.
Very nice case i like it
Sent from my A100 using xda premium
I received the blurex case today, ordered based on what I read here.
It does seem well-made and I very much like that it adds very little to the dimensions and weight of the A100.
At first the clasp that closes the cover annoyed me when holding it open in portrait to read like a book. (I use Kindle frequently.) The sharp corner dug into the side of my finger.
Then I got out a nail file and just lightly softened the one corner and that pretty much took care of the problem.
As a result, the rounded clasp actually works as a finger hold to grasp the tablet in one hand without putting my thumb on the screen. (See photos.)
Overall, it's a pretty good addition.
I ordered mine last night. I hate the actual case that acer puts out. Cant wait for this one to come in...
My BluRex case arrived yesterday, and it's even smaller than I expected. It a very nicely made case (especially for the price), and fits like a really tight glove (insert OJ joke here). My only concern is that the clip that holds the cover closed might wear through the finish on the side of the tablet over time. Otherwise, great case! Highly recommended!

great! thanks so much for the quick reply...after receiving the unit, and looking at it ocmpared to the car mount we have, think this case will be perfect for it.
Out of stock
It appears that Amazon is out of these... I've checked a couple dozen Google links for the case and they all lead back to the Amazon "out of stock" page.
Anyone know of another source for these cases?
Thanks.
Blurex was out of stock, but stumbled across this at Bureau En Gros.
Acer Portfolio, has a carbon finish and similar looking to the Blurex though not as slim as the Blurex.
All the ports and camera holes fit great. This model doesn't have a smell that i've read in other threads. It doubles as a stand too.
Cover holds down by a magnet, so no intrusive or wailing clasp.
Check out the attachments.
p.s. i had initially posted this in the A500 / A100 case thread, my apologies for double post
So Nolan, do you like the case?

Nex Fishbone Case Thoughts/Pics

Just thought I'd share some thoughts and pictures of a new case I got (I am a bit of a case junkie... usually end up with 10-15 cases per phone). Typically I either wouldn't be the first to post about a case (so I don't bother) or I don't feel strongly enough to share. I didn't see anything about this case, though... so here goes.
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073YAAVK/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details
Various colors are available.
Notes: My device is the Verizon/LTE variant. This is a 2 piece case (black silicone base and red fishbone part).
Looks: I really think the case looks great, the pictures below won't do the colors justice but the black is a very nice matte black and the red is a very cool shade. The design is appealing, of course, or I wouldn't have purchased it... heh.
Fit: The fit is nearly perfect (might actually be perfect, this is the first time I'm ordering this style of case). One of the... ribs has a teeny tiny slight gap between it and the black base. It is not highly noticeable and I couldn't capture it well in a picture... but it's there.
I don't know if this is related to my phone being the VZW version.I don't know if this gap will go away as the case "settles in" since it is pressed down easily and doesn't feel too tight.I don't know if the case will fit with the extended battery, but since I have the extended battery at home I will test it out and report back.
Feel: I really like the feel of the red part on my hand when I'm holding it. It's not any extra grip or anything, but it is comfortable. The side grippyness is sufficient to not be slipping out of your hand, but it's not as grippy as many other cases that have a more textured design.
Function: The lip is sufficient to protect the screen when face down. The only thing I don't really like about the case is that the button parts aren't super noticeable by touch. Don't get me wrong, they work perfectly and you can feel them just fine when you are trying to, but when I am not paying attention I find myself not being certain where they are for a moment or two. I will probably get used to this, though.
Hope that gives everyone the info they're interested in... if you have questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for the write up and pics. That case looks awesome. Curious if it would fit with the extended battery. Hope to hear back from you about it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I tried it with the extended battery...
The silicone part fits perfectly, the fishbone part is a little close but does fit too.
The... spinal parts at the top on the back are slightly raised. Just a bit, only an issue if you are pretty nit picky... But it definitely fits and the clips/ribs and top/bottom fit perfectly.
Happy to confirm that the slight gap on one of the ribs has gone away over night. The case fits perfectly now (regular battery). Still fits good, but not great with the extended battery (might improve if left alone over time).
Thanks again. I might check into getting one of these on payday. The price isn't too bad even if I end up not liking it.

No problem... good luck if you decide to buy it, hope you enjoy it. I myself am a case junkie. I've only had the Galaxy Nexus for 2 weeks and have 6 cases and I still have 20 or so for my last phone (Epic 4G Touch).
How is the silicone? Is it a dust/lint magnet and is it a chore to get out of medium to snug fitted pants?

No issues getting it in and it of pockets (even the tighter "cell phone pockets" a couple of my pants have).
It does acquire a bit of dust like you'd expect, but FAR less than most silicone cases I've had (guessing because a lot of it is covered/broken up by the fishbone part).
I tend to be pretty nit picky and with this case I do not feel the constant urge to clean it.
How "protective" would you say it is?
Just ordered a nexus and am looking at cases my primary concern is protection, although I want a cool look too.
How do you think this would compare to come of the other cases in terms of protecting against drops? I figure a self-described "case junkie" might be the person to ask this sort of comparative question to
Ok, so this is all just my opinion... I'm not dropping my phone on the ground to support this, lol.
Both pieces (the silicone case and the red fishbone that locks it into place and secures it) are pretty secure and well made. The lip around the face is a good size (not so tiny that it is insignificant and not so big to cause usage issues).
I won't sit here and pretend I have a rating system for this stuff, but I have some cases that feel like they won't protect anything beyond it sliding around the desk or a gentle fall onto some clouds/carpeting and some cases that feel like they will do their drop and protect it from a moderate drop and fall. This case falls into the latter/better group.
I like the appearance, but not so much that I'd use it if it was a piece of crap. Thankfully, it seems well made to me.
Woah
what struck me on first glance is the design!
Its quite eye catching
I'm just not sure if it is durable...
This look good. I bought one

Ballistic Aspira Case: The slim, yet protective answer?

Stumbled upon this case and hadn't seen it mentioned in the forums here yet. I want something slim and pocketable, yet able to take a drop from waist height. This looks like the best thing I've found so far.
Due out mid-may according to the person I spoke with at the company. One thing she couldn't say for sure though was whether or not the power button was covered.
http://www.goballisticcase.com/products/htc-one-ballistic-aspira-series-case
The reason I asked her is if you look closely, you'll see a little bit of rubber sticking off the top... looks like a power button covering to me. What do you guys think? Anyone know more about this case, the company or seen a pre-production model? Maybe this is why it's been delayed* -- due to a mistake?
(See edited pics I attached below)
*Note: "Delayed" being my own personal interpretation as to why the case was not available at the launch of the new phone as most big case companies do nowadays.
The video at 0:29 shows the power button is covered. It could be that they will fix this like Poetic is.
On second look, I see that the video is a general one for their line and not for the One specifically.

Yeah... I still am thinking along the same lines as what you were suggesting.
These cases are available now. Called and had a rep go find out that even though the picture looks like it's covered, that the IR functionality is not impaired. I'll report back if I get one.

Find out in next week's exciting episode who I'll choose.... will it be, the slim yet protective answer... or the slimmest, most pocketable answer?
From the posts, comments and effort placed into details, information and thoughts people provide on these forums in general, we're all kinda part of a soap opera it seems. Makes sense, phones are a total love/hate relationship!
I can attest that Ballistic make some really good Cases. I had the Ballistic Smooth Case on my HTC One S and I loved it, it looked Stylish yet protective.
While the Ballistic Aspira looks good i still prefer the Smooth, too bad its not available for the HTC One.
That said, i would definitely give the Aspira a Try, the only thing that worries me is the hard plastic, looks scratchable...
Anyone tried this case out yet? I've got one on the way, looking for an ideal, attractive case with good protection all around (without being overkill and covering all the ports and adding unnecessary bulk). Not into the UAG case... hate the milspec/ruggedized styling.
I hope it looks like it does in the photo... has a very "Portal"-esque aesthetic to it
lol it does remind me of Portal as well.
But really, tbh... this looks far from slim and pocketable o_o
The UAG looks smaller than this.
Judging by reference dimensions and proportions, I figure the corners of the Aspira stick out a tiny bit more than otterbox Commuter, whereas the waists are a bit slimmer. UAG outside dimensions are about the same as Commuter, the real differences seem to be in how deep/thick the case is... UAG is the slimmest there, Commuter feels thick due to the rear and side profile, I expect the Aspira will feel better in that regard, even with the higher edges around the screen. Hopefully they don't get in the way of typing etc. I'd love to do a full side by side review with Commuter, Aspira, UAG with professional comparison and specific measurements, anyone got a UAG to send me?
ordered one, will report back in a few days...

Awesome, look forward to it. Very interested in comments regarding the lip around the screen and overall pocket-ability. Cause you can tell it would take a drop it better than a thin TPU or Seidio Surface.
Also make sure you take a photo of a very dark environment to engage the flash and let us know about any wash-out (if present). The design looks like it accounted for it in two ways by keeping the opening far away from the flash & lens + blacking out the rings around them.

Will do
Ballistic Aspira = Great bloody case.
Wow, just arrived and got it on the phone, fantastic case! Quick first impressions review here, I'll make a real review thread soon as I can, this case deserves the attention.
-The case feels much, much slimmer than my otterbox Commuter, comparing the depth (thickness) and width of the cases the Aspira is a hair smaller in both dimensions, but it FEELS much smaller due to the superior ergonomic contours and curvyness. This is the exact criteria I was hoping for with this case, I'm a product design engineer myself and love good simple, ergonomics above all, favouring natural curves to fit the hand. Very impressed with the case in that regard, the glossy white back with grippy forward edges handles extremely well and much less likely to slip from my hand than my Commuter case.
-Built quality is fantastic, the plastics used are top quality with perfect finish, the overmolded one-piece design is right on the money, and the blends where the two materials meet are very precise and no hanging burrs, overlaps etc. Cutouts couldn't be better... they look fantastic and the size and placement is bang on. Nothing in the way of the power button IR blaster, no issue using 90 degree headphone connector, best looking camera cutout I've seen. To top that all off, the volume rockers function perfectly, a clear step up in function and feel from the Commuters which are too stiff, and there are no slots or cutouts around the rocker to let dirt in. Also, the Ballistic text logo molded into the one side looks really bloody clean... I dig it.
-Lip around the screen is about 3mm height, same as the Commuter. does not interfere with typing or swyping near the outside of the keyboard. the lip is raised the slightest bit in the four corners, adding some extra bounce protection there and does not get in the way, additionally it means when laying the phone face down, it's standing up the littlest bit on those corners, which I really like.
-Criticisms: don't have any yet... which is fantastic as I'm a severely picky perfectionist. initial impressions is top score in appearance, handling, and build quality... I don't think this case could be made any thinner without sacrificing protection, I feel it offers an excellent level of protection especially if combined with a glass screen protector.
Durability test will come throughout the week, I keep my phone in coveralls pocket all the time and work in a busy machine shop, my phone does get dropped from time to time and usually gets dirty with aluminum dust, coolant residue, etc from handling. the HTC One tends to pick up tiny steel filings around the speakers (magnets yo), the commuter was a PITA with this cause I had to take the case off the phone to clear them away... this case has just the right bit of flex around the speaker grills so it should allow me to wipe them away with the case on. Will report end of the week, and do a photo test with flash in the dark to check for reflection in the cutout.
Also I will get photos of it on the phone! it really looks fantastic :good::good:
Can anybody comment on how this case will fit into Slim (not skinny) jeans? Does the silicone part catch in pockets? Does it not wrap properly in some places? I had a ballistic for GS2 until I realized that thing was a tank and only needed a TPU case.
Also, the back is just polished polycarbonate as opposed to the Aspira's big bro, the GS, which has a TPU back that is virtually unscratchable. That's closer to what I had for the GS2. Can anybody tell us if the back is prone to scratches?
I'll give you detailed field report in a few days time, I keep my phone in jeans pocket usually and always taking it out to browse on transit, two hours a day, plus shop time. Should have an idea about scratch resistance and pocketability by Friday
Ps, did some low light flash photo tests, no signs of whiteout/reflective effects from camera/flash cutout.

Thanks for the first impressions!, I'm glad that mine is on the way! . Looking forward for the pics ! Cheers
Just a little mid week update: case has totally grown on me, it's been perfect for me so far. Been working on a batch of small aluminum parts at work with machining and polishing, made sure to handle the phone plenty with my dirty hands.. dirt will barely stick to the glossy back, and wipes off easily. It will stick to the silicone but it wipes off that too. So far it's great for dirty job! Someone asked about or mentioned case materials of other ballistic cases, I believe the base material of this case is PA or PV based, most likely acrylic based. It's a super fine gloss finish in a solid milk white colour, with just enough flexibility to get on the phone. Poly-Acrylic makes sense since it feels great but also keeps enough tack for good handling, and depending on the blend and curing it can have excellent scratch and abrasion resistance, which this case appears to have. It should also exhibit good UV and sunlight resistance, as not to embrittle and change colour over time, which TPU can do. The lining material of the case is a silicone type rubberized plastic, it has a good solid cure and shouldn't shred like the softer durometer grades like some otter cases tend to do.
Off topic but funny cause of the irony, those aluminum parts I'm working on are fiber optic parts for the bad guys (Samsung). I believe Intel uses them too. I actually have no idea what they are for.
I just got this case today (gift from my boss who got it from out Ballistic rep). Having had it on for a few hours, I can tell you that it feels good , even though it's a little slick, not too thick, not as thick as an Otterbox Commuter. The power button is open, all the openings are where they're supposed to be. Seems like a good case
I just got mine in today and I really like this case! I have a zillion different cases and this one seems to give me the best of everything I want. I was using Case-Mate tough case before which I really like too.

Shenit Bumper Case Review (LG Bumper Clone)

There have been a few threads linking to the Shenit TPU Bumper Case that have kinda died out because, well, it's no longer available on Amazon despite having been available long ago with a very future ship date. I ordered mine when the listing first went up on Amazon and it just arrived today! Here are my observations and judgments:
The Details
The case is made from two materials: TPU and a hard plastic. You can see the two materials in the photos on Amazon. It's done in a way that is still incredibly low-profile. The TPU covers all buttons, corners/edges, and ports (not the camera lens nor camera light, though). The hard plastic covers the back, the back corners, and some of the sides. The hard plastic is a *perfect fit* over the camera lens ring - from the back of the phone it is 100% impossible to tell the color of my phone.
Something that can be very clearly seen in the photos, and is the same with the official bumper, are the angles at which the sides have. This causes the feeling that the back edges of the phone "stick out". This seems to be a love-it or hate-it thing for most people. I'm torn about whether I like it or not - it definitely seems different than what I'm used to. That said, this was by no means a surprise for me and I expected it to be just like this. So in my Pro/Con list, this is what I'm talking about with the "back corners sticking out".
Oh, and it came with a piece of red velcro for some reason!
The Good
Overall, it's a very nice and snug fit on the phone yet it's not terribly difficult (also not terribly easy, in a good way) to get it off of the phone. With this case on the phone, I'm certainly not concerned with the phone slipping out whether pulling the phone out of a purse with something tugging on the case nor with skinny jean pockets or anything else. The feel of it is a mix of a TPU feel and a "soft" feel for hard plastic (think the feel of the back of the black version of the Nexus 5 to mean what I mean "soft" for hard plastic, not Quicksand case "soft"). Nobody will have problems with this slipping in and out of their pockets nor is it incredibly slippery either.
For protection, this provides the protection you would hope from a TPU case and not much more. As you can see in the photos, every corner and edge is covered by TPU including the four corners on both the front and back as well as the edges along both the front and back of the phone. The back of the phone, however is only covered with the hard plastic. Take a look at the photos and you can tell where the TPU ends on the insides of the case and where the hard plastic begins on the outsides of the case. This case might protect your phone from a drop and it might not - just like with all TPU cases. If you buy this and you play first-person shooter games where you can change your armor out, this case could be thought of as light armor or perhaps medium armor but no where near heavy armor.
It is definitely an attractive (and Nexus branded!) case that doesn't look like what many of the other $14 cases out there look like. As you can see from the photos, the case is molded perfectly to fit with the camera ring cutout. Speaking of the camera ring, the case is just a tad thicker on the back side than your camera ring so if you lay it down on the back, your camera ring is no longer a protrusion. This may have some implications for those of you with magnetic accessories for the camera ring but I can't really comment much on that. Ultimately, unless you look at the port cutouts or see my white speaker on the front, this case makes it impossible to tell the color of my phone - that's how perfect the molding is for the fit. The ONLY flaw I could find with the case's fit was for the microphone on the top of the phone. The microphone isn't perfectly centered in the hole but it's also not covered either.
The Bad
There are three primary problems I have with the case.
First of all, a quick browsing at the time I wrote this turned up quite unfruitful in actually identifying where you can even buy this case today! It is now listed as unavailable on all of the Amazon postings and even all of the eBay cases that look just like the OEM bumper case have seemed to vanish. I'm curious if you can even buy this case anymore as I couldn't find it anywhere now!
So here's the first knock on the case: The buttons have a mushy feel with terrible feedback on the power/volume buttons. We all know that cases tend to be Good, Meh, or Bad here and this case definitely qualifies as bad. Sorry!
And the last thing:The USB Port cutout, while appearing quite large, is unfortunately too small for a variety of USB cables. The first 3 USB cables I randomly grabbed didn't fit comfortable in the space provided although the fourth one did. So you'll have to find a cable that will fit in there if you ever need one and don't use Qi for all of your charging needs.
Pros:
Nexus Branded!
Plenty of color options and cheap (it was $14 shipped from Amazon)
Great snug fit with perfect molding to the phone
Feels like you hope it would feel from the photos
Very low profile - better than your typical TPU case (except for the back corners sticking out)
Plenty of room around the 3.5mm audio port.
Won't affect NFC, Qi, or radios
Cons:
Hard to buy (no longer on Amazon and the eBay lookalikes are no longer listed either)
Took a month to ship
Bad button tactile feedback
Many USB cables won't fit in the cutout for the USB port
I hope you enjoy!!

I just got mine today too. I got the blue one. Does it feel like pyramid shaped to you? Mine does. The back is thicker than the front. Buttons are not that bad. Better than some of the cheap tpus. I can still see some white bordering the camera in the back. Not too bad a case. But the shape is weird. Does the original case have that pyramid shape? If you hold it by the sides you cab definitely feel that the back is wider than the front (lip).

Yup, I commented on this in my more thorough review. It's different than I'm used to but exactly what I expected from the photos on Amazon (and Google's OEM listings/reviews as well). I still don't know if I like it or not. Like you said, it's weird.

If I compared this to the worst TPU case I've ever had (and I've had some bad ones) that was rated as a 1 from 1-10, then I'd give this case a 2. You're right, there is worse. But not much worse - it's pretty bad. Maybe your blue one has slightly different buttons than mine but mine is pretty bad.
For the white around my camera on the back, I can't see any white whatsoever. At least I don't think I can even as I'm trying to look for it although I guess it's possible that the white + shadow makes it blend in with my light gray case. I don't see it, though.
Even no longer available but there are some cases like this in eBay if anyone would like to give it a try: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GOOGLE-PREM...Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash=item3cdc425b73. But don't expect too much as this is chinese stuff. And Play Store now available for $26~ after 25% off (still got shipping fee+ tax).

That looks like the same case but is definitely different packaging than what I received. Thanks for the link though, I was unable to find those on eBay when I tried yesterday.

Uhh have you seen what most people have been saying about the official bumper? It's a low quality POS for the most part. Not worth full price, and even at $26 it isn't worth it with the peeling, staining, etc. Doesn't matter if it's from the play store. The unofficial ones might even hold up better, who knows, but the standard Google set with the official bumper case isn't exactly high. Besides, there's extra colors with the unofficial ones that some people might enjoy.
Anyway, if anyone still wants these ones I did find a link for super cheap. Of course it will probably take 3 weeks to a month to get to you, which is the case for most things shipping from overseas. But $12.99 shipped should make up for it. The Nexus logo is printed in a different color than the case on some of the color choices (just scroll down on the page to see).

God, it can't be any worse than the official bumper. I wish we had a better selection of actual bumper cases.
I'm using the Gray bumper clone for couple days. No staining (yet) , nice soft touch. Back panel is a bit bigger than front (as mentioned in 1st post).
I also have glass protector from Nillkin on, the case doesn't seem to push the glass.
Update: Now it has some blue from my jeans. sigh..
I may certainly be wrong but I'm beginning to think these unofficial cases are the same as the official ones, same manufacturing line and everything.
