Linux on Artemis ?

Hey guys.. Is there a port for Linux ROM on this model of Artemis ? I just installed the latest wm6 ROM and it rocks.. but a linux ROM would be way too coool.. does someone know of any in development ?

I was always interested in the whole procedure how one would go about this.. IS there a wiki / howto I could read up and maybe join the project ??

Yes Ubuntu and gentoo. Do a forum search for either term.

yes you can install, but you need to have Kernel compiled with loop device support

[Q] Root guide for Mac OS?

HI all, this is a very noob question.
I have tried searching the forum but either I am confused by the mixed answers or perhaps I am really really lost.
My android version is 2.3.5 (the latest official firmware for HTC desire Hd), have been trying to find a tutorial guide to root my phone so that I can use custom rom.
In the midst of my search, I read that advanced hack kit can do the job but you will need a windows-based platform?
Even so, I am seeing some conflicted comments and hence am not sure which should I take. Could someone points it out to me?
Then, unfortunately I am have mac os platform that is available to me and hence are there any guides for mac users?

The hack kit works with ios perfect. To get the information you need use the guide in my signature

[Q] Ubuntu Touch

Do we have anyone working on Ubuntu Touch for our phones?
I saw where they had released the porting information. I would love to be able to build these however I am lost when it comes to building roms( I know I need to change my Ubuntu to do so). Thanks for any responses. Also sorry if this is the wrong section or an inappropriate question.

my mate has got a desire hd . but its on a old android version.
ive had a look and it seems like htc wont be upgrading to a newer android .
whats the best rom to put on it ? any help would be gr8

Hi @iainbp,
Unfortunately what is the "best" for some, isn't the "best" for others.
Usually asking this question allows the hordes of fans for ROM A to bash those of ROM B.
The best advice anyone can give is to try a few yourself, and find out what works best for you.
