I know there's threads already about this, but I still haven't found any actual port of the Thunderbolt. I know there isn't no HDMI, and it's not the same at the Evo. The reason why I bring this up again, is if there was a Thunderbolt ROM out there, maybe the leaked Skype w/ video app would work?? Just a random thought.
As far as I know, there are none. If interested, browse the development section, find a rom you like the style of, and then pm the developer and see if they could consider porting it. And I personally think more people will downplay skype with video, now that gtalk has video working, but just my take.

Something's up that just has me curious. In trying out the new Evo roms, I noticed that while using Dolphin Browser HD and playing a flash video, when I press home or power, in OMJ's rom, the flash video will silence. In the latest AVA rom, the video will continue playing in the background including the sound. So I'm guessing that this is a setting related to Flash that Dolphin doesn't control? Does anybody know how I can change this setting? It would sure be nice to be able to go back and forth once in a while. Two examples of this, (1) One might be watching the annoying orange and need to stop to talk to somebody but continue. (2) One might be watching the Big Brother Live feeds and maybe put the phone in their pocket and use headphones.
Even if the setting isn't so straight forward, perhaps ediging an xml file somewhere on the system, I would really like to know how to change this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is actually for pretty much all Froyo ROMs, trust me.
The only solution I've found is to kill the process which is running the Flash video. Really. There's not much else you can do.
OK, OK before anyone starts flaming me and saying read honestly it's too much to read I work and have a family and cant read 1,000 post threads to get my answer.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way let's start with what i'm looking for.
I want a rom that has mostly all the stock things like sprint nav, sprint zone, gtalk, sprint football, flashlight, fm radio etc...... Most of the stock goodies or at least an option to install what i want to install from the stock apps.
Also I want a functioning 4g, 3g and possibly a free hotspot app if not no big deal. I dont want a rom where major things (or mostly anything) is broken.
Now hears the hard part which would prob bring the flame, and please be gentle guys for example virus rom looks like it has some goodies, mikfroyo, and one i really like is myn's warm two point two.
With that said i need to have my phone work not halfway working but fully working web, calls, etc.......
Is it possible to have the best of both worlds with these roms fully functionality with the beautiful customization or is it impossible.
I want opinions or experiences or suggestions and please if your not gonna help my cause you dont have to post.

I don't know what your idea of halfway working is, because pretty much all sense roms (besides Desire HD and Desire Z) here have everything working... Myn's is no exception. If you like the way his rom looks, use it. The only roms with outstanding issues (4g and hdmi) are aosp based roms (Cyanogenmod, MIUI, LiquidE). Hope this helps.

Out of all of them my personal favorite is Ava-FroyoV9. It does everything I want with no problems what so ever and has a nice look to it also.
Again, just my opinion.

You don't have to read a 1000 pages to get this info..
the Dev's have all the info your looking for in the first post of their rom threads.
They say wether or not something works or not.. and if it has the stock apps your looking for.. and MOST of them give you the .APKs to install the stock apps after if you want them on you SD card after install..
Simple as that..
Simple rules of thumb:
if its a Sense based rom, everything works.. (Desire based sense roms excluded)
if its a ASOP based rom, no HDMI or 4G yet.
and Almost all of them have the wifi-tether program install by default for hotspot. If not its EASILY installable..
and to avoid flaming wear a fire proof suit. (q&a section, there are no stupid questions there)

hahaha. lol. this is hilarious. cause i have kids, wife and a job also and just like CheesyNutz i was able to find all the information i needed by putting the time in to search for what i needed to find. it also didnt take reading 1000's of post's. but that is beyod the point...... oh wait no it is the point. he knew that he was going to get flamed for not wanting to search the forum for the info he needed. instead he just went ahead and started yet another thread asking the same question asked in other threads. maybe that is why you have to read 1000's of post's.
Okay with that being said...... I personally like AZRAEL rom and the stock sprint apk's are included in a folder that is added to the sdcard when you install the rom.
Does anyone know if there is a fix to make video chat work with MIUI? I have an HTC Evo 4G. I was wondering if there was a way to make Gtalk with Video work, and Skype work, but then again i cannot make Skype work on CM7, so that may just be a lost cause.

I'm a little upset that no devs have answered this question or have come up with a solution. I for one enjoy MIUI but constantly hangout with my cousin on google+...for me to do that on the go, I'm forced to switch roms out just to join a hangout.

Hi everyone! This is my first post here so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm not sure if this should be here in Q&A or in the App section but here goes.
I really love my Epic 4G. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was still running Dk28 with midNIGHT rom 3.1. Then I finally switched over to the wonderful CM9 Beta1. I am loving it so far, but there's one thing that bothers me. The camera.
One of the things I used to use on the camera very frequently was the panorama/wide shot function. I really hate the sweep panorama of the ICS camera because with the crafts I make, it's just horrible and it's always distorted because sweeping and me don't get along. The camera that was on my leaked Froyo had the feature where I would click the first picture, and while moving to the side a green box would guide me and then automatically take the next shot when it lined up, then I'd move again and it would take the next shot. It would then put the images together for me.
I really need that feature back. Is there a way that I can install that camera app back onto my phone in addition to the updated ICS camera? I really like the smoothness and speed of the ICS camera for normal picture taking.
I can pull the camera.apk from my original install, but as I said, I don't want to overwrite the ICS one, which I fear because they have the same name and I don't know if renaming it will make the difference. I want both. If someone could guide me in getting both on my phone, that would be great. I'm sure there must be a way, but I don't know how to do it. I've read a lot on these boards so I figure if anyone knows how to help, the great minds here do!

p.s. I've tried a number of camera apps from Play. I don't like the wide shot ones where it has a ghost image for you to line it up manually either, so please don't suggest that.
I'd love to see the old TW camera on CM9. The ported TW apps thread a couple posts down mentions this, but i haven't seen anyone post a successfully working version yet.
Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing can figure it out for us. *crosses fingers*

Lol....I was running the peoples rom last week and was wondering the opposite. If there was a way to put the ics camera on that tw rom. That's an awesome rom and has the tw camera (obviously), but maybe just flash that and try it for a while?
On a side note.....Not sure if its just me, or does does the ics camera take much better (normal) pictures, even when zooming in quite a bit? I've been wondering if something was done in ics to better utilize the camera hardware.

I find the ICS camera to be really nice for just normal pics. Definitely faster and does seem to be on the clearer side. But I'm really needing that old auto panorama/wide shot feature. (non sweeping motion or ghost line up).
I have been looking and looking but I have not seen any threads or any posts stating definitively whether or not any of the roms for the samsung galaxy s III that the front facing camera is working. Is there any way that anyone can answer my question. I am sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else. I have looked but I cant find it. If there is i will gladly go there for the answers
i believe all roms, have ffc are working, i was on blazer and it work, now on cm10 and its working too.
Yeah every ROM so far on the development side of this forum has a working FFC and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
