Hello,
First I wanna say that I'm a noob when it comes to this kinda stuff. I've managed to root my phone and flash a couple of ROMs but that's about it. I was thinking about trying LeeDroid or Revolution HD, but I don't like the Sense UI and have no idea how to get noSense. Some help would be much appreciated!

If you really want to stick Wii LD or ARHD then just flash the no-sense patch as shown in the Rom threads.
Otherwise, what Sergi said.

Hi there
I love Sense, but I saw the Espressobar that looks beautiful, I've got stock FroYo from HTC so just wondering if somebody could help me install this without rooting. I'm running Linux and I don't mind using ADB
Thanks for any help

cant be done sorry, the stock roms are odexed so can't be themed
That's a real shame, not even through use of adb? I don't wan to root because I had a bad experience last time.
You don't have to use adb, but you can install it by flash a zip file. Obviously you need to have root privilege.

Alright so I'm looking at flashing a new ROM, I'm currently using the ARHD latest, with the stock theme, however over the past few hours and after seeing it on the VillainRom kitchen, I'm really begninning to like the Galaxy S framework, I really want something that I can use this with, anyone got any ideas?
Try LeeDroid or CoreDroid, you wont regret it. Look for it on development page.. Cheers mate
Give cyanogenmod 7 a go. It gives you so much more options to play with and it not HTC's stock rom layout.

You cant use the galaxy framework on the DHD, unless someone ports it.

I've rooted my HTC Desire quite a long time ago and am currently running Official_FroYo_2.10.405.2, but have never installed Apps2SD.
I want to install it now as I'm running out of space in the pathetic excuse for an internal memory that this phone has...
My questions are:
- Can I install Apps2SD on the ROM I currently have?
- Do I follow just any guide? even if it's almost 2 years old? (for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535232), Or do I need to look for something newer, or more specific to my phone?
- What should I backup before I install Apps2SD?
Thanks in advance!
I feel best way is to install another rom with it built in. Try leedroid for familiar interface else you can check out miui or cm7.
There are also sense Rome with it.

There are requirements every rom needs which are stated in the main post. If you download cm7 version you need cm7 hboot. Then you must decide if you want something built around newest official release or you want a port, a 2.1+3.0 hybrid etc.
But as you wrote in such fashion your first post, it seems you have some reading to do nevertheless as it seems you mix a rom and hboot. Sorry if I'm wrong.
Search before asking. If it's been asked before there is no need to ask again.

Try oxygen 2.2.1 which is fast, stable, fully functional, works with stock hboot and is running gb 2.3.5 - its what I'm using right now. Its not sense but its a great rom.
You wont find it on xda as the dev has started his own forum - search google for oxygen forum

Guys, cool it, there's no need to be hostile. XDA is all about helping others, and the Search function, as we all know, is far from perfect. It's not the most efficient way to get to the bottom of what msdl28712 was asking--which is user's feedback of different ROMs. Actually, this is the most efficient way of getting that info: by posting and letting users answer, then let the post sink into oblivion a few days afterwards. So you don't have to PMS over something so trivial.
As to which ROMs are fast, I find that Oxygen and InsertCoin are the fastest GingerBread ROMs. Oxygen is AOSP, built with minimal hacks, while InsertCoin has Sense 2.1 from HTC. They're both lean, as can be seen from the less than 60Mb-sized zip files (less half the size of other ROMs like LeeDroid or Stock ROoted GB). MIUI is pretty slim too, only 85Mb zipped, although that's because the English language pack is itself 25Mb. If you're Chinese, then MIUI is only 60Mb zipped, which makes it a lean, sexy ROM like Oxygen. Those 3 recommended ROMs I've used myself, and have had not one single bootloop (I always do full wipe before flashing, even if I'm flashing a newer version of the same ROM). I think those 3 are the cream of the crop.
I haven't tried your others yet, but that's because I've been so happy with InsertCoin.
I haven't had any issues at all and is nice and smooth. Also the tutorials on the Devs own site are really useful.

Yes, you're in the wrong place. When you say "don't seems to work" do you mean that there are problems in the ROM (usually stated in the first post of the ROM) or you can't get any to flash (read a tutorial)?
You have to give more information. What doesnt work?
You tried sabsa, existz's Aospx is highly recommended. LC's IceColdcream are all great rims.

First of all it's wrong thread, secondly be clear with what problem you are facing.
In simple (if you are new to custom roms or DHD), you need
1- HTC Desire HD
2- Eng S-Off
3- Radio S-Off
4- Custom recovery
5- Custom ROM
For 2 and 3 search in "DHD Android Development" for how to root or something like that, there is tons of information available or simply google it.
Talking about custom roms everyone here has his/her own choice. What is yours
1- AOSP
2- Sense
After getting through all these procedure you might have a working ICS rom.
Good Luck......

its already s-off bro and rooted aswell, I figure when a rom is under 300mb it doesn't past boot logo, I just tried one that was over 300mb and it work wella but it wasn't ics and ics is wat I want ama try and search again
pls tell me
wats the difference between HD and DHD
HTC DHD = HTC Desire HD,
HTC Desire HD = HTC Desire HD
no difference
oh ok well I can't find a working link with an ics rom, anyone can maybe upload one for me or maybe bump a working link pls
Not to be funny, but have you ever flash any custom rom and got it to work on your DHD before?

Look in the Desire HD Development forums. The recent popular ones are all crowded around the top.
Blackout update
The blackout update will be well worth the wait once released,i am using the test version, and i am really impressed with the overall improvements once completed it will be a very good candidate for a stable daily driver.:good:
