[Q] Leedroid running OK, sense options - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Big time user/follower of leedroid roms and first time poster.
I was using leedroid 2.xx series and have recently jumped to GB 3.xx.
Love the fast boot feature!! and overall performance is great....
Was wondering if any of the new SENSE feature sets will be added to
3.xx?
Thanks

why dont you use a bit of common sense and put this in the actual leedroid gb thread!

N00bs need at least 10 posts of no spam to post in the Dev forum...so a bit harsh

The statement by LeeDroid seems to indicate that he doesn't want to change too much:
Android 2.3.3 - Gingerbread & Sense... No Gimmick's, No Bull****..

lol..
hey....Chilldesire...lol...mayb u need to analyse before u speak...
Like EddyOS said...else I would of...doh!
yes njilk, i suppose leedroid is gonna keep it clean and simple..but some newer sense features would be great...oh well..
I've tried some of the other roms but am just keen on leedroids efforts!!!
Thanks all for the input...
9 more posts to go...hehe

Are there already any news concerning Sense 2.1 features in LeeDroid 3.x.x?
By the way: 9 more posts to go...

I guess Lee will include whichever Sense version that comes with official GB from HTC. He already said he only wants to work with official releases.
Maybe someone could make Sense 3.0 add-ons though?

[Q] What's your ROM(Stock/Sense/SenseHD/AOSP) ?

Dear Community,
The idea is to get statistics about the ROM usage for desire.
This thread is not about best custom ROM's.Of course each ROM has its own characteristics & advantages. In general, I would like to see what people mostly interested in.
My combo is in the signature.
Where's the option for 'Other'?
I'm running stock but rooted

I guess that still comes under Stock right ?
Poll should highlight it's for CUSTOM ROMs then
And 'Stock' and 'Sense' are the same thing
polling details are always kept secret,
why they show up the names of those who have voted for which option now ?
i feel fewer ids will vote now.
miui isnt up there ? i change my rom quite frequently. If i was to go away for a long period of time from my pc for important work i would chose Leedroid (froyo Sense) of course.
2 plus 2 cents
You forgot miui in the poll
MIUI is AOSP

Thats correct. My mistake How I suppose to edit ? I can't find an option !
Think you have to edit the original post and then you should see edit poll options

There are requirements every rom needs which are stated in the main post. If you download cm7 version you need cm7 hboot. Then you must decide if you want something built around newest official release or you want a port, a 2.1+3.0 hybrid etc.
But as you wrote in such fashion your first post, it seems you have some reading to do nevertheless as it seems you mix a rom and hboot. Sorry if I'm wrong.
Search before asking. If it's been asked before there is no need to ask again.

Try oxygen 2.2.1 which is fast, stable, fully functional, works with stock hboot and is running gb 2.3.5 - its what I'm using right now. Its not sense but its a great rom.
You wont find it on xda as the dev has started his own forum - search google for oxygen forum

Guys, cool it, there's no need to be hostile. XDA is all about helping others, and the Search function, as we all know, is far from perfect. It's not the most efficient way to get to the bottom of what msdl28712 was asking--which is user's feedback of different ROMs. Actually, this is the most efficient way of getting that info: by posting and letting users answer, then let the post sink into oblivion a few days afterwards. So you don't have to PMS over something so trivial.
As to which ROMs are fast, I find that Oxygen and InsertCoin are the fastest GingerBread ROMs. Oxygen is AOSP, built with minimal hacks, while InsertCoin has Sense 2.1 from HTC. They're both lean, as can be seen from the less than 60Mb-sized zip files (less half the size of other ROMs like LeeDroid or Stock ROoted GB). MIUI is pretty slim too, only 85Mb zipped, although that's because the English language pack is itself 25Mb. If you're Chinese, then MIUI is only 60Mb zipped, which makes it a lean, sexy ROM like Oxygen. Those 3 recommended ROMs I've used myself, and have had not one single bootloop (I always do full wipe before flashing, even if I'm flashing a newer version of the same ROM). I think those 3 are the cream of the crop.
I haven't tried your others yet, but that's because I've been so happy with InsertCoin.
I haven't had any issues at all and is nice and smooth. Also the tutorials on the Devs own site are really useful.

Hi guys,
my brother has htc desire hd and he's requesting me to root it and install custom rom because he has seen my desire rooted with s-off and running with sense 3.0 rom which is amazing.

Are you talking about which Sense 3.0 based ROMs are the fasters and smoothest? IF that's the question, then RcMixHD's ROM is the best 3.0.
However, the best ROM is still Cyanogen. =P
Take note that these are just my opinions. Different people have different opinions on which is better or worse.

i want sense 3.0 based rom. i will try that and Virtuous Unity as well. because Virtuous Unity is posted in coolexe thread and i'm a big fan of coolexe's rom. thanks!
when you say rcmixHD's? are you referring to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074191 ...? thanks
If you want a sense 3 rom thats close to stock in appearance but with performance tweaks, try Android Revolution HD
You should really try Virtuous Unity!
They update on a 2-week base and it's the most stable & smooth ROM I've ever flashed.
One small thing, they didn't update this Monday because they're working on implementing Sense 3.5 features into their ROM!
You can find the ROMs, updates, changelogs, ... on http://www.virtuousrom.com/

Android gingerbread 2.3.5 is the base of the rom. On top of it, htc added an user interface called htc sense.
I can't tell you, but I do know what the best Desire forum for asking questions is.
It's the Questions forum.

its a bit hard not to be rude, when you have different sections, and the title sort of explains itself, ie general things in general, questions and answers in well, im sure you can work it out

Fail rom compilation RC1.
I will try this rom, looks nice http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040121
I use Sebs Runnymede AIO - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315961.
Im absolutly satisfied with it, after trying few different Sense 3.5 ROMs (before I found AIO and including Cool3D you have posted) I can say - Runnymede AIO is the best.

Any kernels for 5.0 sense?

I think the title's pretty self-explanatory, I'm on a Sense Lollipop rom, and I can't figure out what kernels are compatible
Thanks ahead
There are 2 types of lollipop, the sense and the gpe version. First you figure out what type you are running and then read the specific kernel threads (especially the opening posts) to read for what type of lollipop it is.

The short answer is yes. SD kernel works with lollipop sense, but you can't watch any video. Once kernel source is released by HTC the kernels will be updated
