I have a Platinum Series 1750 mah battery and when using the Battery Monitor Widget i just realized that it saying that the battery is a 1500 mah instead of a 1750? This make me wonder weather or not the phone is actually seeing the extra 250 mah?
You have to go into the settings and manually change it to the maH of your battery.
Yea I was wondering if there is an app or utility somewhere to verify the capacity of my cheap extended battery I bought? Just curious if I'm getting all that i'm paying for. Plus I feel like my stock battery is starting to go downhill.

I was crusing the ebay sellers and i found a place that sold New 1750mAH for i780.
have anyone tried them? i want to bye a new one but the 3000 mAh battery i have seen i don't like becouse of the size i guess if the 1750 mAh battery is good it will get me alot more playingtime than my 1000mAh i have now (wich i don't even know how old it is as i purchased the phone secondhand a couple of days ago (like it very much so far)
I have the 3000 mAh battery from Mugen Power and it's great. Great quality, same as other batteries from Mugen I bought. Even the extended cover is not bad - it makes holding the phone much safer and comfortable.
Ok maybe i have to surender, but i have a Q when i *#0228# on my i780 it says i got a 1450 mAh standard battery but under the cover it says 1000mAh
and replacement batteries i found online is 1200mAh
and then we have the 1750 i found and the 3000
WHAT is the original battery? 1450 or 1000?
if i got 1450 today and i bought a 1200 i will get even worse workingtime out of it...;(
The original battery is 1000 mAh. I can see 1480 in the test menu with the 3000 mAh battery.
Well then if original is 1000 then a "originalsize" 1750 mAh would be a great improvment in capacity (I know now what the 3000 mAh costs it = more than i bought the phone for)
So, I have been looking all over the various stores (Sprint, Radio Shack, Ebay, Seidio), I bought a standard battery (the same mAh as my stock battery). The battery I purchased has about the same batter life (as expected about 6-9 hours depending upon usage of games and data) Looking over the extended life battery options I dont quite understand the claims.

This is a 3500mAh battery and has "double the capacity of the original battery"
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17hev4.htm
This is a 1750mAh battery, it's not listed the capacity.. but my stock battery is 1500mAh so it cannot be by much.
http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Extende...Accessories&hash=item483d837c7f#ht_4076wt_905
This is a 3500mAh battery, it comes with a battery cover I would imagine that it's similar to the Seidio battery as far as in the capacity
has anyone tried the extended batteries off of ebay, do they work well.. and do the battery covers hold up well?
Any suggestions of extending battery life? I keep my wifi turned off, dimmed my screen, and a few other things.
Right now I am thinking of just getting a battery charger and just swapping between the two batteries.. it would just be a hassle taking my case and battery cover on and off every day.
check out http://batteryboss.org/ first to see where those batteries really stand.
there is also an 1800 mah at http://www.htcexpress.com/ that was supposedly tested to be 1700 mah.
that woud make it the best battery around, but i bought one and it seemed worse than the stock battery.
sprint also now has a 2600 mah with extended back. i don't know if anyone has tested it yet.
i purchased the ebay 3500mah with cover and also the OEM HTC extended battery for the TP2
HTC model no. RHOD170
. works great and according to battery boss it is the best extended battery ratings wise.
i got the battery for OEM HTC extended battery for18 bucks on ebay. so you have have two batteries and a better looking cover for half the price of the seidio battery.
however, i cant seem to get the battery status to show up correctly on the oem battery display but it does show up on "battery status" app

Batteryboss.org was a lot of help! honestly i think the best bet for me would be the cheap one from ebay that i mentioned.. the bad news is that it doesnt seem that they have tested it yet... so I think ill keep my eye open and wait on it
Extended battery for the EVO on eBay 3000 mah
This is a way better buy. The battery life rocks. The door is rubberized and a really nice feel/texture. Moretalktime has 100% feedback and has them in stock in USA.

So my roommate got an EVO, and i put his battery, which says 1500 maH (where our stock battery is 1300 maH..) and put it in my phone. Battery Monitor Widget says it's capacity is 1300, and not the 1500 it states on the battery. I also ordered one of the black batteries off ebay, or amazon (Iforget), the one's for 6 bucks shipped...They state 1500 also, but show up as only 1300. I don't think that the battery monitor is lying, because when i put in my 2150, it shows 2150. Anyone else notice this? What perplexes me is the "1500" batteries ARE a bit bulkier than the the OEM 1300, so you'd think they actually ARE larger in capacity...maybe this has been covered before, i don't know..
Really? NO ONE has any input?
Battery monitor widget defaults to 1500 on my EVO. I haven't tried any other battery types though.
1500 is what is says, right?
My bet is that program isn't pulling that bit of information from the battery itself, rather than a database that shows standard specification of the phone.
..But battery widget monitor says its 1650 mAh
Is there any other app to confirm that its either 1650 or 1800 mAH ?
Assuming your talking of the 3C71 Battery Widget, you have to update the mah in its settings. Have a look in Monitoring then Battery Capacity.
I have a 1900mah battery and after a good few charges and discharges the app now reports it at 1957mah, it just takes a little time to learn.

I can't believe you are SOOOOOOOOO lazy that you don't even bother to look in the settings of the very app you have installed on your phone.....
I want to buy an extended battery for my S2. But I don't know which one should I buy.
What high capacity extended batteries do you recommend?
Official or Fake?

If you want an official one, go with Samsung's 2000 Mah.
If you would something else (fake), it could potentially ruin your phone by blowing up or melting.
If you look around, people have done tests with 3000, 3500, 1800, and original 1650 Mah.
The only one that actually lasted longer was the 3500 one.
So if you would like my opinion, either Samsung's official or 3500.
Hope this helps,

2000 mAh is not enough for me. I want the highest capacity battery available for S2.
Which 3500 mAh one is the good? I read several reviews, but they are mixed. Some say it's really 3500mAh, and others say it's fake.
So which is the highest capacity extended battery for S2 that is not fake?

Its a 50/50 chance. But I don't know any official version of the 3500 mAh battery.

I'd guess, that none above 2000 mAh keep their promises. I got a 4800 mAh battery from mbuynow and it actually has about 3200 mAh (measured with battery monitor pro). This value also seems more realistic, when I look at the size of the battery. As the capacity is based on physics and not magic, a real 4000 mAh battery needs to be twice as large as the 2000 mAh battery from Samsung. So the size is a pretty good indicator for the real maximum capacity. A real 4000 mAh battery should be at least 14 millimeters thick, as my Samsung 2000 mAh (you can't have enough spare batts ) is 7 mm thick.
