hey,
I couldn't get on with the samsung keypad or swype, so I pulled the LatinIME.apk off my CM7 HTC Desire, I've just noticed I dont have haptic feedback now. Has anyone else noticed this or have a solution?
Cheers,
Jonny

Is there any way to disable the haptic feedback in the dialer as there is on the keyboard?
I did some google-fu and it seems that the option to disable haptic feedback in the dialer was removed.
I did find this for you

hope it helps
PS. the link is to the HTC Hero: G2 Touch Forum.
(so the zip is meant for that phone, not sure if that matters but I want to make sure that you notice)
I searched and did not find an answer. How does one turn of haptic feedback on this build? I turned it off on two separate screens and it still vibrates?!?
Settings/sound... 3rd from the bottom

Wow, thanks. So I guess there are at least 3 places to turn off the haptic feedback - confusing :O
Also, in the Language and Keyboard settings there are Touch Input and HTC_IME Mod, and they each have many of the same settings. Which takes priority?
Hey there, first time posting!
I just installed cyanogen 6.1 and love the speed and features, but im about to uninstall due to a few things that aren't working. I've searched but didn't find a solution.
1st. Auto brightness takes 15sec to change and at times, doesnt change at all.
2nd. Anybody know a good "sense ui" like theme that has:
a) the sense dial screen where as you type, the contacts appear right above.
b)Also the sense camera screen.
If i can get some help with any of my issues, i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Samsung already disabled haptic feedback in touchwiz rom to save battery .. In cm10.1 haptic feedback for keyboard is there...
From galaxy grand AMCD stock firmware..
Yeah, it sucks, it´s great to have the vibration feedback.
You can try Go Keyboard, he does have an option to vibrate, it haves a lot of options!
I've just rooted and greenified and all's gone well, but somewhere along the line I've lost haptic feedback.
Does anyone know which service might have been the one that controls the haptic feedback please?
Thanks!
P.S. On closer inspection, it is still there on the lock screen, but not using the keyboard for email and other stuff.

On Kit Kat the touch vibration is under Settings>Sound. The keyboard menu has its own setting for vibration. Maybe Touch Wiz is different?

Thanks for the reply.
There is no setting to turn it on and off on the 8.4, or at least it isn't in the usual places. I'm 99% sure it was working ok before the greenifying process. I installed the google keyboard which allows the turning on and off of HF but sadly there's no slider to tone it down.
