Roms and rom help

hey all. just wondering what the best froyo rom for htc incredible is? And if bugless beast has a rom for incredible yet. Cause all the ones I try to install don't work. Or a sapphire rom. Same problem. thank you all

Pick ur flavor, sense ui with skyrider, or vanilla with cm6. Both great in their own respects, certain issues plague both. Through no fault of the devs might i add. Also, this needs to be moved to general as it does not pertain to actual development, just conversation regarding roms.

I have cm6 and I do love it. But lately it has been goofing up and so I tried skyrider. Loved that completely. Then I way crushed because I couldn't use swype with it. so yeah. Guess I'll just stay with cm6 unless you know a way to get swype to work on skyfire? That would be amazing

Im not using a froyo rom but i do like pmf yasr 1.1 its pretty stable and has all features working unlike cm6/skyraider.

i dont want to lose froyo. it makes web browsing 200% better. so yeah

but if anyone could help me to getting swype to work with skyraider 1.9 i would be so happy

The red themed swype worked for me, its in themes and apps.

Which 3.0 Rom

Im not familiar with the new 3.0 roms so I was trying to get some general opinions on which ones are good, stable, fast, good battery life, etc.
Everything I currently have is in my signature.

Have a link to Pyramid? I wasnt able to find it in Google.

I am pretty sure this is the Pyramid ROM he was talking about.

But I am currently on Synergy and I am really liking it, it took about a day for it to settle down but now its working like a charm.

Any others?
Also does anyone have any experience with the ROM in my signature? Id be interested in a side by side comparison of the two.

Synergy is really nice.

Seems to be less than a handful of worthwhile ROM's in the 3.0 arena.

Go with OVORene Community Rom is really nice stable and fast

Yea I know but its pretty nice on the Dinc. Guess it comes to user preference. 1000% better than the stock on the Dinc, Tons of bootanimations, lockrings, etc to download I dunno just like it lol!

You should try Wildstang's Pure Shooter rom. It's pretty fast and stable for me. It's also based on Joel's Shooter rom.

gingersense, hands down. it even comes with rotating rosie for right button configuration.

Nils business gsense. First sense rom for me in a long tome (AOSP junkie) and i actually like what nils has done

@Sherwood1 I think the more sense 3 features that are added, the more wed divert away from the point of this rom honestly. Sense 2.1 being lower resource and the functionality of it (sense 3 features require a lot of framework adaptation)

im going to have 4 roms that i support in this forum.... and they will be like this
1.)inc sensation which is our framework moddified to support sense 3.0 apks
2.) Newts Pyramid which is full sense 3.0
3.) Incredible 2 MIX which will be a mix like my [optimized shift rom for inc1]
4.) Plain jane stock Optimized to the max
what i release them with is what they will have what this rom has now will prob be what it continues to have like franklin said kinda defeats the purpose if i just keep adding more sense 3 stuff.... when i am done i will have roms that will suit everyones wants and needs...

this one sounds very interesting.

Got the ROM installed. No issues so far. I enjoy this lockscreen very much. I like the idea of this ROM over a full sense 3.0 port from another device. It just works. I was able to restore my data from the backup I made prior to flashing this.
So far so good. Great job on this. Still haven't tested MMS but I assume it should work?
One thing I noticed is this is the older ROM prior to the small ota that was sent out.
Can we get a battery percent .zip? Or can we use the one found on here?

I would imagine that any mods that work for rmks rom would work on this one as far as status bar tweaks and such go since this is pretty much a full 2.1 base
*edit* just to clarify I meant rmks stock gingersense rom as there are tweaks for both that and virtuous*

Really? For sense I would say dinc2hd, for aosp it would be miui for me. But most if our roms are so stable its 6 in one hand half dozen in the other

yea on my dinc 1 it was miui all day long lol but im a big fan of sense. i might stick with the stock rom, rooted with cpu profiles stock is usually pretty clean as far as stability.

Everyone has their own opinions.
My second ROM would be NEWTs Inc3d ROM based off of desire S and is sense 3.0
My third choice would be inchd which is sense 3.5, but tbh sense 3.5 I don't like as much, I prefer sense 21/3.0 hybrid which is why skyraider is #1 for me, and the look and feel of the desire s port is great. Sense 3.0 is really fluid, I find sense 3.5 to be a batt hog and not as fast as sense 3.0 and certainly not 2.1.
I mean, I bought this phone because I like HTC Sense. I always have, and I think I always will (who knows what they will do with Sense 4.0..)
but I've tried motorola smart phones, and the fascinate so I've tried others, and HTC is where I've been through the Eris, Inc1, inc2, and prob the Rezound in the future.
but like I said we all have what we like, whos to say whos is right, or better? as long as you are happy with your phone, that's all that counts.

my mom has the contimuim and my dad has the droid x2. both lag like crazy on the homescreens and everywhere else. my first phone was the motorola citrus (never again) then the dinc1, then dinc 2 and probably the htc edge once it comes out. HTC may not have the best specs (thats right im looking at you snapdragon) but it has the best ui. HTC sense ftw lol

[Q] What Type of Rom is Wanted?

I am looking to make 1 last rom for the Incredible (For the time being) and would like to ask users what type of rom they would like. I will do my best to make it bugless and awesome. Vote in the poll I post, or if it isn't there, post in the comments.

I love the look of McSense 2.5, and I think a stock, de-bloated, sense 1 rom themed in maybe red or a darker blue would be nice.

There are no Sense 2.0 roms out right now with developer support... I'd keep the 3.x features to a minimum , if any at all. I thought sense 2.0 ran great on our phones, I miss it

I'd go with pure inc2, maybe black some things out that are white (status bar is hideous on a sense rom coming from cm7) maybe tweak the status bar icons icons a little bit, optimize it. I'd love a cm7&sense mashup. Cm7 pallet on a sense rom. No white menus for miles

I thought of this today. A senseless 3.5 Rom? Haven't seen one yet. Since sense lags a bit on full 3.5 I dumped half the junk and used adw launcher ex and it was fast. Even the personalize still worked on it. I was running joels prime XL. I know if it was purposed senseless it would run better then using root explorer to remove stuff and safer lol.

Id like a fully functional ginger doubleshot rom. Thats what id like.

I want a completely functional debloated stock gingerbread-sense, with all the nice AOSP customizations. I guess what I am thinking of is what Sky Raider 5.0 would be, if it existed.

I think the desire HD, fully functional with no bugs would be awesome! Sense 3.0 by HTC put on a phone with similar specs as ours. Get the bugs worked out, and it would be pretty smooth. Sense 3.0 ran the best of the sense 3.0+ ROMS. Get a solid base, then we could theme it. Please.
