It´s the same as Galaxy S 1 lockscreen, but this has a picture instead of glass.. just edit in framework to whatever you like..

Its not exactly the same for instance the glass from the SGS you have to swipe from the arrows. The glass from SGS2 you can hold it anywhere and swipe. The clock is different i believe it has active notifications.
Its not the same, sure you could put a pic where its transparent but its not the same. Thats why a put the video up so you could see it
Here are some pics of the lockscreen.

Another thread like this one posted already:

I made a themed version of the original glass lockscreen
I dont know how i missed that thread. I tried the theme it worked, but its not the same as the real thing.
Since its not part of the i9000 rom its must solely made for the S2.
I guess to make it work one would have to get ahold of the S2 rom and pull it out some how.
Try widget locker mate, put whatever you want on your lockscreen.

Not sure if this is possible but I would pay to see an app/mod that allows only the status bar to be displayed when the screen is off. I had Pandora hang on me this morning with a black screen and just the status bar visible and it showed all the info I need to know at a quick glance. Hope this is the right section, debated on weather this should be in the General section but mods move if you wish.
So you wanna shut off 95% of the screen only? Highly unlikely.

With the Super AMOLED Plus display, black color = pixel off (screen off for that part) so If there is way to wake the screen and show a black screen with just a notification, what the OP wants IS possible... I think some apps have the ability to wake the screen, i think the issue is the lock screen would show, no?

There is something for the Nexus S becasue it doesn't have the LED light. I think it's called "no led" or something similar on the Market. It will display notifications on the screen while the phone is sleeping.
+1, Just get NoLed from the market...

I had that app for my NS4G and thats not what I want nor did it work very well.
But NoLED is where I got the idea from. If they can display that info why can't someone write an app that displays just the notification bar?
Thank you japper88 for clarifying the screen tech to the 2nd poster.
A black background for all but the notification would be fine but a) the lockscreens gonna show unless you find a way to disable it completely which would then go straight to your homescreen and b) i wouldnt think you could keep 95% of the screen off which is what your asking to do isnt it? If so i dont care what screen you have i highly doubt thats possible.
Maybe modding the lockscreen with a black wallpaper and removing the clock would work.

Again, when the screen displays black #000000 the pixels are off. That is the beauty of the SAMOLED+ screen. It is also like that with the SAMOLED used in the NS4G. It is possible to do what I'm asking. Just need some direction from another section on this board witch is what I'm doing. I will post here when I get it working.

I often find myself wanting to show someone a picture or current screen display, but when I hand them my phone either touching the screen or one of the buttons or making that gesture suddenly changes the screen, or moves the picture. Is there some way to freeze the screen on purpose so it can be passed around safely?
I know about screen capture programs (Screenshot, Shootme) and the screen capture built into some ROMs Power Menu, but those don't keep the resulting scene on the screen (one needs to use a file program to find the graphic, which is clumsy and time consuming).
I agree, i always give my phone to my relatives or friends and they always press the back or home button somehow -.-!
One solution , would be to use a transparent lock screen with a very small unlock toggle ...
Lock it , hand it to them ...
Screenshot would do

I have that program, and it works well, but after taking the shot one needs to recall the complex name and directory, and once found the viewing program has all the buttons active. I have a shortcut to Astro opening in the directory, but even with a half dozen thumbnails, it isn't clear sometimes which one I want to show. I don't see any option to freeze the view.

I don't have the link, but search around , there are some threads on transparent lockscreens ...
Not sure but you may be able to do it with just a transparent .png and setting that as your lockscreen background, but that is just a guess ....
I have been using ics for a month. The design is generally great. but there is just one thing that piss me off. ....the soft button. They just take up too mich space!
i dont know if it is possible. Can you make the soft buttons stay on the screen buttakeup no space? i tried lmt launcher. its quite good, butits tired to hold the screenand slide to the keys that we are supposed to be able to press directly. I tried the key savior as well. the little arrow is indeed quite good! can some developer make "3little arrows that stay on the screen" to replace the soft buttons on ics?
i have my buttons transparent so it looks full screen but they are still there.
Under "GALAXY NEXUS THEMES & APPS" there is a thread about removing then and only having them pop up upon a certain gesture our action allowing you to have the full 720x1280 screen.

I would love to see the buttons incorporated into the top bar like CM7 for the Kindle Fire. This way your buttons are always there and take up no space at all. No swiping or gestures needed...

Search "transparent" in themes section. I got it from that thread.
For anyone who flashed my modified launcher and is bothered by the fact that voice search can still be activated, here's the stock launcher in flashable zip form.
http://www.mediafire.com/?l89erxebp8n50bt
I apologize for any inconvenience or time wasted.
I've tried setting all focus and clickable attributes to "false" in every xml file that references "search bar", "qsb" and "voice search". Voice search can still be activated when you tap the top right corner of the screen.
Rather than let people install something that doesn't work as I intended it to (and there's another launcher mod on here anyway) I decided to take it down. If I figure it out some time, I'll repost, but I might not have to since FufNuf has the same thing going.
Check out FufNuf's thread for essentially the same launcher mods.
Mods, feel free to delete this post whenever you'd like.
Works great, ty!

Cool I'm glad you like it. When my kid goes to be tonight I'm going to edit the margins. I like having everything fill the screen more. I'll post a few with smaller margins.
Very nice,

See the screenshot. Widgets, the dock, dock icons, dock divider, and app grid fills more of the screen. I didn't know what else to call it. Since it's a launcher, and everything is spread out over a wider area, the most logical short name I could think of at 2AM was "wide launcher".

Awesome, margins would be a bit better if smaller.
Also I noticed that the top right corner of the screen glows as you move between home screens and when you press that corner Google voice search comes up. It's as if the search bar is still there, just not visible.

I just followed the directions on that tutorial and thought I'd share what I did for myself. That's really weird, and not good. Thanks for telling me. If I can't figure out how to completely disable the search bar, I'll just take this whole thread down.
Update: Actually I think I've got it. Testing now, then I'll take down all the links, fix them all, then reupload them
is there a way to remove the Clock from the lockscreen? on Jelly bean (CM10)?
I found a few old thread about it, but nothing seen to work. WidgetLocker crash a lot and i couldn't find the way to actually hide the clock.
I installed Wp clock 2, and I love it, but the stock clock is on the way on the lockscreen.
Thanks
Nope, I don't believe so. Maybe suggest they include it in future builds?

S3? Which ROM?
Any AOSP 4.2.2 that has lock screen widgets enabled (CM10.1 does in fact meet this criteria) has the ability to remove the clock from the lock screen. You simply lock the phone, get to the lock screen and press and hold on the clock until you can move the screen around. Move it to the top of the screen to destroy it. You should now have a blank lock screen page with no widgets (in this case your clock).
