Hi guys,
Just want to know whether it is really necessary to install ril everytime u change the radio ? Any bad consequences of not doing so?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
ril is not required at all.
if everything works OK, no need to flash RIL, do it only when you have some issues.
another thing - RIL is stored in ROM part, so if you change ROM, RIL is gone and you must reflash it if you want it.

No I never thought that

Don't bother telling me ONeill
If you would have PM'ed me earlier I could have posted this
May I ask what options does it choose for you and is it configurable for different devices. Also what version of .sense is it?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using xda premium
Is it the beta 2.0.1 version with the OC Kernel
And it can be used for every HTC device. You can reinsert another system.img so you can use every Rom you ever had
More you find here:

@ONeill123-plz advise people to wipe data before using this......i got stuck at the boot animation while installing....It booted completely only on wiping data
No,
and the answer to the question why:
because this installer is like a RUU (Rom Update Utility). That means, that your data has to be stored to use in the newer version of the rom, too. Without backup or something else.
ONeill
I think the problem might be that I used this installer over CM7...can't think of anything else
I am using Paranoid Android custom ROM and lost the HTC Radio app. Was going to pull it off my stock ROM backup and now I get a md5 mismatch. Can someone share the app with me. The MD5 mismatch I think happened when I renamed the folder from the date created so I can which backup was what.

Hi
Why do you think you can use this app on PA?
These apps are IMHO specific for Sense based ROMs

for my R800i?
Sorry for my bad english
Yeah, but data and GSM won't work, and also there is some problems with the rom itself. You need to change some libs to get these issues that I've mentioned fixed.
I hope will be fixed:// because I dont know how to fixed ://

before flashing i did this work:
1. factory reset and wipe
2. flashing stuck ROM I927RUXKJ5_I927RUXKJ5_I927RRWCKJ5_HOME.tar.md5
3. again wipe
i do the Instructions of this topic but fail : accelerometer miscalibration
i don't have any file named "calibration_data" in my efs folder
