I flashed nightly 66, and I want to flash to the newly released 67. I was told to just wipe cache and dalvik cache, I did that and then flashed the rom though
recovery and it still showed I was on 66. What might I have done wrong??
Should I have flashed though Rom manager?
Where are you checking your version? In settings > about phone, under mod version, it should say cyanogenmod nightly and the date it was released. It doesn't actually say what number nightly it is.

Yeah that's how I am checking it. I should have been clear, it says I am on 0505 which is not #67.

It says 5/6 on CM nightly site. I wish they would show which version your on from within the rom.

Just checked the site and you're right. However, ROM Manager has it listed on the fifth. I think it's safe to say that this is the correct one.
If it didn't flash correctly, clockwork would give you an error as opposed to staying the same ROM.

Last evening I attempted to flask Binary Bishop's JB 4.1.1. 7/30 build. Nuts! I followed the flashing instructions exactly and I am bootlooping at the CM9 screen. Are there any other steps/alternate methods to try to push this through? I'm assuming the answer is "bad download", but, I don't understand what that means exactly when I d/l'ed from the OP? Using CW non-touch recovery. 3 questions: is there any distinct advantage as far as integrity of the build by using the Goo app on the phone versus from the XDA website and then putting it on the phone, and, if I were to use the "Settings/Factory data reset" versus the one in CWM Recovery, what does it do differently? When it says at the bottom "erases all data on phone", how is that different than what factory reset in CWM does, as a practical matter? Is the TWRP recovery any more reliable for what I am trying to do? This just makes no sense that it bootloops when I am doing everything exactly as the OP says to!!!

Technically no. Are you checking the md5sum of the files you download? If the answer is no, you should be. If you use the Goo.im app it will automatically check them for you when it finishes downloading. Just because you are downloading from the recommended source does not mean that the file cant be corrupted during the download. Goo.im checks the md5sum for you when you go through the app.

Yes, thank you, I am using the GOO app on the phone to download the ROM. The MD5 is good. I am just beyond baffled as to why I cannot get thid damned thing to boot up. Would you be able to share exactly what steps you did to get yours going. All things being equal, it just makes no sense. I odin'ed back to stock, redid everything exactly as the OP says and it just will not boot, no matter what I do or wipe. PS: I'm using TWRP 2.2 recovery now. Doesn't seem to matter what I do.
Edit: Just switched back to CWM, followed the OP instructions to a "t", no go!!!
Edit: Just tried both the "Unofficial" and "Experimental" CM10 builds, still no go. WTF!!!??? Why can I get AOKP to boot alll the time? I "get" that it is JB, but the damn thing should either boot all the time or never boot, correct? (I'm sure it's not quite that simple.)

Ok, So I went back to Gingerbread because I wanted to do a "clean install" rerooted my phone and decided to try out the latest (20130103) Nightly CM10.
I flashed the rom first, because im an idiot noob.
ended up flashing to JediX which I already had on my phone so i could get back to download mode.
Downloaded the Radio and Gapps.
Followed the wiping procedure on the TeamChopsticks site
When I rebooted I got the Blue CM circle, its been going on for 20 mins.
What do I do to get this working?
I am ashamed. :cyclops:

what you should try to do is to into recovery mode
then factory wipe also wipe dalvik cache
after that flash your radio first
then flash your rom
then flash the gapps
after that reboot and it should take a while the first time
if it freezes try taking out the battery and reboot it again

Have you tried twrp recovery? With that one you don't have to worry about using the darkside scripts. Just full wipe and flash the rom. If you have root, the goomanager app can install it for you.

I have not personally tried to flash this file but i did some digging to find out and it seems as if this is the unofficial cyanogen mod release for the ls980. i personally am not a big cyanogen mod fan so I wont be flashing this but if someone is a fan and wants to give it a shot you can let the others know how it worked for you.
as with any rom please make sure you create a NAND before you attempt to flash anything
As before I am not the creator of this rom or of any programs I post I am simply finding the information for you guys. I have not tested this ROM so i can not confirm that it is working. Flashing this ROM could brick your phone yadda yadda.

Guys the gapps should be the same for all variants of CM 10.2 including the Verizon, Tmobile and ATT version. There is nothing specific about those gapps that are carrier specific.
I am sure if you go to the Verizon, ATT or Tmobile development pages you can find out which gapps they are using for CM 10.2 and use the same one.

Nightly changelog: http://www.cmxlog.com/12.1/hltetmo
Recommended: If you're on anything 4.4.x (KitKat) you can/should follow this easy method to get to the official 5.x (Lollipop). Then you can start fresh by wiping/factory resetting phone and formatting it through recovery, and then install CM12.1 and Gapps (and SuperSU is wanted). You can leave out the SD card fix since CM has it built in, and you'll be overwriting the OS anyway.

Yes, it does. I have tried it, it did not work.
I noticed Misc is high on the battery list. It doesn't seem to be affecting the actual performance, but I looked into it, and it seems it's a known bug in LP. I just flashed today's nightly, so let's see what happens. Great ROM overall. Especially for the first release.
EDIT: Disregard, there's simply a "Preferred network type" option under cellular network settings. (should look around more before I post.....)
Everything seems to be going well enough so far, but I seem to not be getting LTE, only HSPA+ and 3G, is anyone else having this issue? Is there some setting somewhere where I would need to change preferences on this?
