I've tried a few screen protectors now and I hate them all. The Gorilla Glass seems to hold its own without one at all, plus it feels much smoother when scrolling on the screen. Just try not to have piles of keys or rocks in your phone pocket and you'll be fine. I've had mine since it launched in February and have had no issues so far.

Realook by far is the best one I have tried, and I have tried many. You gain security without any drawbacks. Don't knock it till you try it. Have had this protector on my phone for several months now and several small scratched have shown up on it. It's $5.50, plastic and takes a beating so my real screen doesn't have too. (Obvious point, no one scratches their phone screen on purpose, the point of a protector is not to protect your phone from normal daily use when you are being careful, but for the times when **** just happens and there was nothing you could do about it. That's when having these things are most important / useful).

I say get a screen protector and don't leave the gorilla glass naked. I babied my phone for a week before I got anything on it... then two scratches from god knows what. Gorilla glass will NOT hold up to minute particles of nothingness in your pocket so be aware.
I personally like the marquee splash screen protectors (I think that's the name) that are on amazon. Clear, feels like the normal screen, went on fine.
I tried ghost armor at first and I hated it.. it had orange peel and dented really easily. It seemed to shrink over time, too, which is weird..
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

Gorilla Glass is bull**** man. I took off my old screen protector because there was a minute imperfection in it and cleaned it with a brand new lint free cloth and now there are 3 tiny scratches in the glass. I mean with the new screen protector you can't really see it, but it's such bull****.

ZAGG Invisible Shield.
Lifetime warranty FTW!

I think i order BestSkinksEver total body skin.
I had bad experience with Zagg, i just don't like it.
Thank you all

I accidentally sat on my phone wearing jeans with rivets for about 15 minutes; no scratches. I still wouldn't put it in my pocket naked though. But no protector.

Just don't buy Matte one. It's total bull**** and screen looks terribly ugly with it

Do you have it installed on your Atrix? I installed on my son's iPod touch 17 months ago and it still hasn't peeled. Then I did my Dad's iPhone 4 8 months ago and the front is still looking great. Not sure why I didn't do my Atrix yet.
Edit: I added Moto ruggedized battery cover for minimalistic grip to phone. Really like it so far. In stock at cnn.cn.

Yes that's true, you can actually call it an OP magnet but we're talking about screen protector here and I dont think there's anything else that can protect your screen but the Invisible Shield by zagg.... I have speck casing on my atrix with the invisible shield for the screen and I accidentally dropped it like 3-4 feet high on its flatscreen and not even a scratch on the screen.... my co-worker bought an atrix too and with it he also got a speck casing and one of those screen protector from at&t store, couple of days later while we were talking about our atrices/atrixes he accidentally dropped it in front of me and when he picked it up the screen was cracked! He was mad as hell because he didnt listen to me... lol
I mean the stuff they show on their demos is for real, I've used invisible shield on each of my phone for so many years now and each of them were protected by invisible shield... yes the invisible shield is a orange peel/lint magnet but you can easily wipe them off, I guess for me I'd be more concern about the protection of my phone and not the OPs

I tried an extra Skinomi protector a friend had and it developed bubbles a couple weeks after installation. Then I got a SGP Steinheil Ultra Crystal and I'm extremely happy with it. My friends who also have Atrix couldn't even tell it had a protector on. Plus it isn't a wet install and takes just a couple of minutes to put on. It's the hard plastic type and very slightly drags more than the bare screen but it's hardly noticeable, especially in comparison to the soft plastic type like Skinomi.

i got zagg just because i got tired of the fingerprints that attract to the glass. before i got it though, the screen was exposed to some harsh conditions at my job, and did not scratch or anything; so it is a tough screen

Invisible shield's original screens were pretty bad op, but I've had one on my evo for nearly a year now and it's just as good as the day I installed it.
They have a new formula that is SUPPOSED to be less op, but it's only for the iPhone right now

InvisibleSHIELD

Just a heads up
I was in a local mall in New Hampshire, USA looking at cellphone cases for my vibrant at one of those kiosk and noticed two more booths was an Invisible-shield booth with demonstrations...ect
Long story short i picked up a full body InvisibleSHIELD for $25 and they installed for $5 bucks and did a great job.
many people have complaints with with invisible shield. the main problem is that it gets dirty easily
agreed

It does seem to have a slight sticky feel, I figured its because it takes 24-48 hours to fully cure
Is this how it gets dirty?
edit

Well ill see, if i dont like ill just remove.
Whats a better alternative if i decide to remove?
My invisible shield is clean all around basically... but I didn't know anything about zagg when I got it.
Zagg seems to be getting some bad reviews on this forum. I bought it the day I ordered my Vibrant and installed it the day I received it. Back looks awesome, and it is not nearly as slippery as the back cover alone. Front however.... zagg is slightly narrower than the screen, and it is bugging me. Also, it is far from invisible on the front, but I guess I will live with it rather than having my screen scratched. What really sucks is that the "full body cover" does NOT cover the corners nor the bezel, and we know what happens to these phones if you drop them.
I will have my case soon, as I planned - I put the zagg on so my phone does not get scratched with the particles that get under the case. Once I have the case on, I will feel a bit more comfortable handling the phone.
I had a BSE(bestskinsever.com) on my iPhone screen for 2+ years. I took the back skin off because of the "dirt" issues and because it didn't stay on the rounded edges very well. I just applied a skin to my Vibrant. As far as I know, BSE are identical to Zagg/Invisible Shield, but around 1/3 or 1/2 the cost. Some people don't like them, but it gives me peace of mind to know my screen is more protected.
I brought the T-Mobile case the first day I got my Vibrant. After two months I decided to get the Invisible Shield for the back. The phone itself is big enough already, I dont need any extra bulk feel too it. For the Screen Protector I'm using Realook which is alot better then Clearfreak I had at the beginning.
As someone posted, the Invisible Shield doesnt protect the Chrome or Edges around the phone.
My second day with it. Now tht its fully cured
The back feels great
The screen not to much. Its somewhat finger print resistant but at the same time playing FPS game like nova you fingers dont slide as good on screen and has kind of a rubbery feel.
How does Realook feel is it a harder surface?
Realook is hard and not sticky at all

Yea woke up this morning "day 3" and picked up phone and its not sticky anymore.
Im really liking this.
With the invisibleshield on the back the battery cover feels solid and gives the phone an overall solid feel to it.
Also the battery cover comes off easier now
I might remove screen protector though IDK. Im more worried about the plastic back cover scratching. The screen was more for reducing fingerprints than actual scratching , im mean its gorilla glass and all. I never had any issues with my N1.

For the Screen Protector, get the Realook. It feels and look like nothing is there....
So i took off my front piece i hate it. Left the back piece because i like the way it feels and still protects back from scratches.
Got a realook SP just finished installing and yup its 10 times better than invisible shield SP like others said it doesn't feel really any different than it does without one on
Dang, shoulda bought Realook, it is soooo much cheaper than the one I bought. The brand I got is good (it's not a Zagg brand), and I have no complaints, but I paid 20 bucks a piece for them (I have two Vibrants, one for me and one for the wife )
You can get a 2 pack of these Realook Screen protectors from Amazon.com for 11 bucks shipped.....coulda saved myself 35 bucks
Learn from your mistakes.
I got zagg too. I'm not hating it but definitely would like to save some money...
Yeah, I also got the invisible shield but I just ordered the realook sp a couple days ago for the front.

Best Screen Protector!

If you want an awesome screen protector that has the hardness feel of the bare screen then you want this one. It's 3 for 7 bucks and it feels so much better than all those expensive Invisible Sheilds and such. Those leave a crappy feel or funky haze after they dry. This thing is so bad ass I felt I needed to let everyone in on it. I've had for a couple of months now and no scratches. I also put one on my wifes evo. Enough here's the link.
http://www.amazon.com/GTMax-LCD-Scr...WI02/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1293259085&sr=8-2
Edit- Had to order more of these for a replacement phone and found out that the protectors advertised here and sold by Efforcity are the wrong ones. You have to click the part that shows ones that are sold by other companies and you have to get them from Bargain Cell. I just got mine in finally and Bargain Cell is the only company that sells them.
Thanks. I have a Zagg InvisableShield now and I do like it, but this is cheap enough to see if it is worth having. The great thing about Zagg's screen protectors is that they are lifetime warrantied so you only have to buy 1 per device. After that just pay shipping and you get a brand new one.
I've been using MobileXS Screen Guardian Mirrored HTC EVO screen protector for about 2 months now. Feels like glass, very slick and not stick at all.
When the screen is on its really clear and when the screen is off it's almost a perfect mirror. I bought two thinking it would scratch easily so far not a single scratch. Oh... and there washable and reusable. There a little more costly at 25$ a pop, but after two months and no scratches or wear I think its a good deal.

Martin Fields. They cost a fortune but is the absolute best.
I like the one that seidio sells had mines on for about 3 months still looks invisible.
Swyped from Eva my Mynion running Myn's RLS4.95!
I've used an Invisible Shield on the last three phones I've had.
As long as you get it put on properly, they last forever.
I usually shill out the few bucks to have the guy at best buy do it since if they screw it up, they have to put a new one on.
I got the one from the OP yesterday and put it on. I like the feel of it, but it is a fingerprint and finger oil magnet. It also doesn't cover the whole screen. There are small strips on each side longways that are not covered. I liked my Zagg InvisibleShield because it didn't attract this stuff and covered the whole screen. The only thing I didn't like about Invisible is the rubbery feel of it. Good thing they have a lifetime warranty. I got a new one on the way for only the cost of shipping.
There really aren't any instructions for this one, I just received mine today. Do you use any soapy water or anything? I;m going to install it in a steamy bathroom.
I am not familiar with that one. I had one of the SGP protectors and I liked it but it scratched too easily. I use the bodyguardz. It offers the same protection as the invisible shield but I like the feel of it better. They have a dry apply version available now. I have just ordered one of the wrap sol protectors. I will let you know how it compares.
Sent from this here Evo!
I use Reallook. I had one on my vibrant and now on my evo. They are pretty cheap on amazon. It covers the whole face and is unnoticeable. Also reusable, and easy to apply
I actually bought the screen protectors listed by OP.
It was nice because they actually sent me NINE screen protectors, hah. The texture and clarity is identical to the stock glass.
im about done with screen protectors in general. today at work i got a bit of paint over spray on my screen protector "phanton skinz" so i used a bit of alcohol & nail polish removed mixed with warm water to remove it and it totally jacked the protector up. i have this horrid film on it now and im pissed. these things are suppose to be indestructible. so like an ass i ordered one more just now and after that im done with them in general. next time ill but a dry application cheapy.
i wish they made the evo with gorilla glass and i wouldn't even bother.
I use Screenpatronus... good product, good price.

Best CLEAR screen protector ???

I need a really good clear screen protector that isn't crap. Something that will last and I don't mind spending $20+ on it. Any suggestions?
I got the XO skin case fit. It's cut more around the edge so you can use a case with it and not have to worry about it peeling the skin. It's awesome so far. It doesn't have the orange peel effect like invisible shield which I used on my Incredible and Blackberrys back in the day. Gave the XO skin a try a just to see and it worked out great. If you use SPRINTXO as the promo code you get a discount. I did, but that was about a month ago. Could still work though. With the code it's like 14 bucks I think.
Thanks, I'll give it a try, but before I do I'd like to see what other people suggest, thanks for your suggestion though!

+1 for XO Skins. I use the regular one and it works with a case, it all depends on the case that you use. Even the regular goes from edge to edge except for the bottom, it leaves a small gap of uncovered space
Even though XO skins is really good, you might dislike the rubbery feeling of the screen protector. So far most screen protectors are either too short, has orange peels, thin, oil conductor, or rubbery. I don't think there is a dry application matte protector that covers the entire screen (will have somewhat of the edge peel effect, but cases like diztronics or otterbox should lip over it). I've ordered baselant couple days ago, and I'll see how that goes, and I've heard good things about martin fields, but they're really expensive.
The screen protector that comes with the otterbox commuter is clear and smooth for operation. No discoloration or orange peel effect like I had with the I shield on it. a good option if you don't already have a descent case.

Awesome, I just ordered that case last week lol. It's coming in the 2nd so I will see it then, does it cover the whole front or JUST the screen?
+1 For XO Skins as well. Mine fits great, has no orange peel. Here is their video if you missed it. It fills in scratches and hides smudges really well.
I am using SGP Ultra oleophobic dry protector and Diztronic v3 case and have been real happy with the setup.
I had used the Verizon clear dry protector and it's hard to wipe off oil and smudges.

Sadly, this is pretty much the state of the GNex screen protectors now. You really gotta ask yourself what you like to have and what you hate.
Dry (clear/matte) - large margin around the screen
Wet - slight rubbery
I went with wet (XO skin) because I don't use swype, so the slightly rubbery texture doesn't bother me at all but having a visible border of the dry protector does. And there's no orange peel effect like Zagg.
Just ordered some boxwave cleartouch screenprotectors yesterday. Will report back when they get here.
I have always use Zagg invisible shields for every phone and tablet I have had no no issues at all. The only phone it didn't look good on was the nexus one. I just went to Best Buy and got one for the Galaxy Nexus and applied it perfect. I hope that the one sold at BB is supposed to fit the GSM model. I didn't have any issues except a very small amount at the top but not sure if that's normal because I think they are the same size.
I recommend Martin fields. It's a dry screen protector, edge to edge, and clear.I got it for $15.99 + free shipping from expansys.

I had a zagg and it was okay but took a hit and luckily saved the screen which is what it is there for. I had to replace it because of the gash it suffered but the screen was fine. I had already ordered a ghost armor screen kit and decided to try it instead while waiting for my zagg replacement. Needless to say the zagg is still unopened in the box. The ghost armor has less orange peel and I also like the way the cutouts were done. The zagg looks cheap and sloppy around the speaker and camera and leaves the glass exposed. It is also prone to peeling in that area. The ghost armor does scratch more than the zagg because I think the zagg is softer. So that is the trade-off for less orange peel. The zagg does seem to heal itself a tad better but its not enough for me to put it back on.

And I think we could more or less reach the conclusion that if anyone wants full screen coverage for GNex, he/she has to go for the wet protectors because of the curved screen.

When I said no full coverage, I mean the visible margin around the phone because the screen protector is cut smaller than the screen. Thanks for sharing though. Its cutting is better than SGP already judging by the photos.

I liked how conveniently the instructions were on the packaging. It puts them right in front of you so you remember to read them.
Very basic kit, you get your quick how-to card, business card, cleaning cloth, screen protector and a squeegee. This is my new favorite squeegee.
Samsung Galaxy S III Screen Protector Features:
• Toughest clear protective film in the market
• Clear protection that is virtually invisible
• Preserves your Samsung Galaxy S III's original design
• Protects your Samsung Galaxy S III from scratches, dents, and physical wear-and-tear
• Patented layer of UV protection for anti-yellowing
• Provides protection without affecting the functions of your Samsung Galaxy S III
• Non-sticky or restrictive outer surface
We're always on the hunt for the perfect screen protector. I must say Skinomi is ranked at the top of my list. It's not as soft as other wet applications. Minimal orange peel unlike the more expensive screen protectors. I feel more comfortable handing my phone to a child.
It covers most of the screen and has the proper cut outs for the sensors and camera. The home button is cut out and not just cut straight down.
The battery cover protectors were also a nice touch. I was glad to discover Skinomi uses high quality 3M products. Not a knock off brand like other competitors use to save some money. I haven't put one on yet due to my OCD. I just want to take my time. One of these will be up for the next giveaway!
MSRP of the Skinomi TechSkin is $11.95 and can be purchased for $9.95 from Amazon. The Skin Protectors come in 7 different styles. MSRP: $19.95 on the Skinomi Website. They can be found on Amazon for $18.94 shipped.
Customer Service response time was excellent and above average.
I purchased a skinomi front screen protector for my s3, and although application was really easy and its all aligned fine
Whenever a mark is made on the screen protector (Lightly press your fingernail into it) the mark stays, might just be because i only put it on 24 hours ago, so i will leave it a few days and see.

I ordered one back when they were $1 on Amazon and used it for about a month and a half. The marks stay for a long time. I made one diagonally about a week after I got it, and it was still there a month later when I changed to the curved crystal protector. I couldn't stand the divots and lines left behind from my fingernails.

So your concern was not being able to put it on correctly and refusing to cut your nails? Lol.
Joking.
I bought 2 when they recently had the $5.99 promotion. They fit great under my Otterbox Commuter, but the marks and depressions left behind on the screen is annoying.
I had an extreme guard on my other s3 and I felt it held up better than the skinomi, although it didn't offer FULL screen protection

I switched over from the Xtreme Guards. They are much more gummier than the Skinomi. The Skinomi has a harder surface than the Xtreme Guards.
Don't all wet protection screen guards do that? So far every review for a wet application one I read has people complaining about the indents. I would try one of these out myself but with the Glas coming out this week, no point in doing it

A lot do, but some are thinner or firmer than others. They could be made of different materials. They are comparable, but not always the same.

What glass screen protector and where to buy?

Hey guys I wanted a just like glass screen protector and amzer and SGP ones are out if stock only one I could find is siedio but seems expensive. Any ideas where or which to get? Thanks

I would spend the money on the spigen glas.t but according to this forum it has been discontinued:

I didn't read the full thing, i just googled it. But i will say this, I dropped my iPad 3 face down(glass down) on concrete and it protected it. It fell about 4 feet and came out without any damage whatsoever.

I swear by ZAGG. If you watch the demo video then it should sell you too. Yes its a little more expensive than the 3 dollar scotch tape cover you can get at the grocery store, but you spent a lot of money on the phone with its sharp screen, I figure its worth it. I had the ZAGG cover on my Thunderbolt and it worked great. I liked it so much I have one on my GS3.
DBA Cases sells a screen protector called "Just Like Glass". I just bought one for me and my mom. I must say the feel is great, almost "like glass" and the screen doesn't diminish in quality one bit. It is a wet application. The sides on mine don't want to stick down all the way. The instructions said this would happen and after a few days it will stick. I've only had it applied a couple days so I'm still crossing my fingers. They are only $13.50. I would definitely recommend one. http://www.dbacases.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-screen-protectors.aspx
I highly suggest glasszone. No proximity problems, no response problems. 9H hardness, I've dropped it twice from waist height on concrete floor and it's not scratched, though I'm not 100% if the initial impact was with ground. The only thing I have against it is the (barely) visible layer of glitter on the edges, or what the manufacturer calls "pearl effect". I barely notice it, and it's only really visible under a few instances. You can find it on ebay
iMuse glass protector could be a good solution:

Do all the tempered glass protectors make the screen look odd, or are some better and more "HD" than others? I read the thread about the xgear one and it sounds like it distorts the screen.

Yes it definitely disturbs. That's why the sticker type protector is somehow a better choice, but if you have a sturdy case protector to begin with you don't need a screen protector, that gorilla glass will serve it purposes.

I dont that will be a good choice because those tiny holes for the proximity sensor are sure to cause you problems

Yes the Spigen is discontinued but Seidio has its Vitreo which I feel is a little better that Spigens Glas... I have had both and like the Vitreo better just slightly and also comes in black and white

I ordered mine from Bestskinsever. Quality is like Zagg Invisible Shield for about 1/4 of the price.
I don't like the Zagg ones, its very clear when you're using them that you have a screen protector on. I have the DBA Just Like Glass mentioned above. I like it for the most part. The screen protector has gotten very scratched up but the screen is safe and sound. Worst bit about it is that the edges dont look properly adhered. They havent peeled up for me but they look like they arent stuck on as well as the rest of the protector
I just ordered my spigen ultra nano clear will report back

Do NOT buy*
SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S3 Premium Glass Screen Protector White
Glass looks and feels great.
HOWEVER
Must be used with a raised home button and case on the edges.
Sensitivity was severely compromised.
You wouldn't notice on regular use, but as soon as you got typing. I became very frustrated. Ruined texting all together.
Even swype was some garbage.
40$ well wasted.

I've been using a Qmadix tempered tech armor and it does need a raised sticker and only comes with three. It works great though and I haven't lost any use. I bought mine in white from a sprint store and my only complaint is the dust that gets stuck on the glue like edges underneath. I can post pictures of the box and the glass screen protector if requested my camera just isn't connecting on the cm10.1 nightlie I have haha

I don't trust Gorilla glass at all, seen so many phones scratched that have it and it does nothing for impacts.
