hi all,
I am new on Android, so please excuse my stupid question
I installed the ADW launcher and the paperless theme.
The problem is that not all icons have been changed to the paperless icons, e.g. the phone, contact icons still are the standard icons.
Does someone has an idea how to solve this?
(My galaxy is not rooted yet)
Thanks.

Press the menu button when on the home screen, go in to adw setti
ngs, select themes and there is a check box at the top about which icons to use.

I already tried this. The thing is, that some icons are from the theme, but not all.
Then they are not implemented... write an email to the developers and keep us up to date if you hear anything
Hmmm... As I wrote in my 1st post, the icons for phone and contacts are missing. And these icons are on the screenshots showing the theme,so I assume they are already implemented.
hmm, I don't use ADW anymore, I am on LauncherPro now, but try this:
When I tap the contacts icon for 1 sec I can select a new app to put there... select the contacts app again and then select the right icon.. This is how it works on LauncherPro, maybe there is a similar way on ADW

unfortunately this is not working in ADW

I noticed this too, seems to happen on non standard dialer/contact apps. I think the theme writers need to fix this, not sure ?
Almost made the switch from LP to ADW if it wasn't for this. I <3 BuuF
This is a problem to do with samsung replacing the phone, messaging and related icons. Where do I find the icons once the theme is installed? I can then go about replacing them.
If someone tells me where the icons are I can tell you how to replace them. I have looked everywhere and don't know where the theme is located.. Do they stay inside the apk in /system/app? Anyone know how I extract the apk
I am also creating a few custom backgrounds and icons for this theme. Any requests please let me know, I will be drawing icons for most of the apps.
I've re-packaged the APK with the proper Samsung Galaxy S icons. If there's still interest let me know and I can post it. All credits to the developer, all I did was rename some files.
Fixes:
Calendar
Calculator
Camera
Clock?
Contacts
Dialer (Phone)
I noticed this problem before too. A workaround that I use is to create a custom shortcut to phone and contacts with ADW and then you can choose a custom icon for it. Then you can choose an icon for your phone and contacts.
Hi merrimax,
I would be interested in the theme for Galaxy.
I just updated (today) ADW and the Main Dock center icon (Apps) is no longer in Paperlss style.

the new update to ADW had a large number of UI changes. I think with that he changed the name of the app drawer picture which is why most of the themes lost their app drawer picture. You just have to wait til the themer updates to the latest ADW. A lot have already, but I know some still arent yet (e.g. BuuF )
Hi merrimax, I'm still interested in the renamed icons.
Where can I find them in the Galaxy?
I just install ADW launcher, since as a themer this launcher is the iconmask feature (great feature not supported by recent launcher like nova and apex).
Anyway, is there an official thread or something I can post requested and questions ?
All I found were threads on adw theme, etc, but nothing with devs on OP...
Maybe I can ask my questions here waiting for a good guy to link me to the official thread.
I'm on android 4.2 I have 3 questions :
- When I'm in adw settings and try to get back to home pressing the back softkey, it gets stuck at the settings menu screen you guys know why ?
- according to this screenshot I lost my dock icons ? Although I ain't touching anything related to the dock in the settings. Any idea ?
- Concerning gesture, I set the 1 finger swipe down gesture to show/open notification bar, (I previously hide it in the settings) and when I swipe down the notification bar shows but doesn't open. Plus on 4.2, the 2 fingers swipe down gesture open the notification bar showing directly the toggles, but here nothing... :'(
Can you ADW users help me on this one ?
Thanks a bunch folks !
Been a while since I used ADW. Maybe try this thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975764
There are a bunch of them, just search google for "xda adw".
Yep that's what I said a bunch of thread but nothing official ?

Hoping someone can help me....
I am running ditto's latest RC2 with S5 Mod. I have also installed x2 fakejaps pullup as was posted on the ditto thread. This Mod changes the launcher to 5x6. I have also installed the 5x2 weather clock to match. The problem I am having is I usually use favourite contacts widget on one of my homescreens, but fav contacts widget is only 4x and when I drag it to homescreen it is out of line (sides of widget chopped off). I want to either change the fav contacts widget to 5x or get the 4x homescreens back but still keep the working x2 pullups.
Can anyone I ive me a guide on how I can do either of these options?
Thanks in advance
Scotty.
I found this link that will allow flashing of the GS5 Touchwiz launcher and Accuweather widget for non-TW Roms. I'm test driving now with SlimKat 4.4.3. Two things to note:
There are separate downloads on separate posts on that thread for the launcher and the weather widget.
I had to use this process to remove the error "Not installed with permissions needed for binding widgets" when trying to put the Aqua Mail counter on my home screen.
Be sure to thank the developers on those sites.
Probably goes without saying, but make sure you do a Nandroid backup before flashing. I saw where one person got stuck in bootloader after flashing.
The one issue I've found is that the menu function doesn't seem to work with this launcher -- can't change number of screens or which one is the home screen...unless I'm missing something.
There is a launcher in play store called Galaxy launcher which is basically what you are talking about. It gives you a lot of customization options and its pretty cool. I have used it for a while and I can say its pretty good.

Yeah, there are a few out there. The one drawback is that the GS5 accuweather widget linked above requires an actual Touchwiz launcher. The S5 launcher above is a little buggy. Some S4 launchers and widgets are available here. The S4 launchers will support the S5 widget.
Friend i could not put in my rom based stock 4.4.2.....you will know why
Post your homescreens. Discuss your widgets. Have fun.
Please, to keep this thread as light as possible, attach screenshots to your reply or post direct links.
My homescreen:
Quick toggle bar at the top is done with PowerToggles. It's the best if you're into quick toggles.
From the beginning of smartphone usage, I depended on homescreen folders for my most used apps. For that purpose, I use Folder Organizer, to which I added a custom folder icon.
Since Nova is my launcher, I decided to replace square dock icons to the round ones by downloading a Lollipop icon pack, extracting what I needed and applying it through Nova. Looks much better, IMHO.
Also, I'm in the process of playing with XWGT instead of Zooper Widget, since XWGT has a much lower memory/cpu footprint to create a widget that has a day/date with a recording function integrated into it. That way, I removed an extra widget from my homescreen and integrated it into the day/date widget.
P.S.
I would like to ask the mods not to close this thread like they closed the first one, because LG Spirit does NOT have it's own forum section, and is purely tag based. So, if mods don't like homescreen threads ending in Misc Dev sections, they should create a proper LG Spirit forum section on XDA.
My homescreen, mising cLock widget (from cm12).
Since I like not cluttering my homescreen with tons of icons and widdgets, I just don't have anything on it. And since Nova allows to rebind the soft keys to open the app drawer, I don't even need the dock. The only exceptional thing about my homescreen is the wallpaper - I'm using an LWP with a custom GLSL shader. I can drop that here if you would like the code for yourselves.
Nova launcher
Lots of crap out there
@jonixas You got a real Playstation thing going on there
I had one that I liked better, but an update to the app caused all my shaders to dissapear, and I couldn't recreate the one I had. Also, obligatory PCMR> Console peasants
Very basic. Default launcher, default weather app, replaced google app with quick search bar (or something like that) and some contacts. Decided to use the homescreens for only widgets, every app is accessible via the app drawer. Wallpaper is from Backdrops.
This is one older screenshot, but basics are pretty much same
Launcher: Nova Launcher Prime (paid for it)
Icons: Sunshine+Moonshine+Polycon
Widget: XWidget - ZTE Nubia Style, Flashlight widget
Wallpaper: my photo
When finish tweaking design on phone and when setup 4 more e-mail accounts to phone I would post latest home screen... It is a quite changed then this one (from wallpaper up to widgets which I have)
Mine is pretty simple.
Nova launcher
Yahoo weather widget
Wallet app and Quick camera widget
Here is my many-year-old setup, except that I only lately started having 6 dock icons, instead of 5.

Perhaps next time, you should post in an appropriate forum (namely a non-development forum).
