Savvies Screen Protector
Just received mine, and the quality is not all the great. Anyone else using one?
Also it is a bit big, doesn't fit on the phone properly
got today(1 hour ago), it is the ****tiest, most rubbish screen protector i've ever come across,it is worse than '10X screen protector for £1'. i am still looking for a decent screen protector.

i can;t agree more. i emailed them and this is the response i got:
Hello,
we are sorry, that you are not satisfied with our product.
The ordered type of screen protector has no hard-coated surface. Therefore, it is not scratch-proofed and we cannot accept a claim in this matter.
Alternative we can recommend to you our Vikuiti display protection film ADQC27 for this device. This film is crystal clear, anti-reflective, scratch-proof and extremely easy to apply without bubbles. More information is available at
The price for this film would be 10.95€ for 1 film or 21.90€ for 3 films, including shipping charges. Since your satisfaction is important to us, we will credit the amount of the article ordered first to 100% against a new order of this model as a gesture of goodwill.
Please inform us via e-mail if you would like to accept this offer. You will then receive an order confirmation with all the relevant information for further processing.
Thank you very much.
Best regards

f**k I just bought this one ! Not received yet, but I'm afraid...
Just got one of these. Its awful, doesnt fit the phone well at all. Tried to fit it the best i could but it looked terrible, so i took it off and threw it away.
Received mine. Impossible to fit to the screen : I cut a border, but ASAP I will change it.
I'll send a complain to the "protectionfilms24.com team" ! It's just scandalous.
Their Vikuiti ones (both the ADQC27 & DQC160) that I ordered do not fit perfectly either.
They're just a shade too long and so would have to overlap the bezel slightly.
Expected better from them as have had good luck with their products in the past.
anyone found any good/decent screen protector yet?
+1 Savvies screen protector is just too big. Piece of crap.
I wish ClearProtector would release one. I love their self-healing screen protectors.

This wasn't too bad I got 2 and they are hard coated and the cutting is 96% accurate. If you want something cheap but decent you should try this out.
Not bad for price.
Oh and most importantly spent spoil the touch experience.

Can't really see it properly but not 100% cut fit. It came with a spare so no biggie. It does get that multi coloured grease so have to wipe it quite often. Anyways only 2 pounds

I emailed protectionfilms24.com to complain...help?
They sent me the following below. How do I even go about measuring how off the screen film is? How do I go about measuring the phone screen size? I don't have anything nearly that accurate. Can anyone with the appropriate tools help me out? :-\
How far off is the Savvies? I noticed it hung over the top/bottom (depending on how much i slid it around) by just a little bit, but I have no unit of measurement for that.
Help?

Wow in that case buy the one I got. Its quite tricky to get it fit just right because the cut isn't perfect but it does the job and I'm more than happy with the 2pounds I've spent.

The martin fields will be about the best when they're released, had one on my desire and wifes Nokia and they where really good, lasted a year, easy to fit and really good. Over priced but still the best around.
I ordered a savies in the mean time (I'm pissed off reading the comments). I had the vikuiti and they didn't fit well and bubbled up, I lost my rag and binned them
Can't post the URL as I'm new :-(
From my own experience with screen protectors i noticed that you can align them very easy and no bubbles if you can sprinkle some water on the sp before applying then all you have to do is to clean the water excess and leave it over the night to dry. Using this method i was able to have no bubble and almost perfect alignment even with the cheapest screen protectors.

This is the 2nd time I bought them online and they seem to be of the wrong size and useless quality
Can anyone reccomend something that FIT's my screen and also is good in quality?

I have Vikuiti ARMR200 - fits really good i think.

I use Brando Protector Plus on my Artemis and have a Brando Protector Plus Ultra Clear on a different pda. They have the best quality I've ever seen, you can get them at ebay when you are searching for "brando" and your pda name, try the HTC and all the other names that exist.
The normal protector plus is matt and has a strange scratching feeling to it when you write with your stylus on it. The ultra clear version is reflecting a little more but looks better and feels and looks exactly like the normal pda screen.
Both protectors are pretty thick and have about the same quality as the screen itself, didn't find any scratches on the protector yet. You don't need water or anything to put it on and you can wash them (didn't try that yet).
They cost about 10 Euros a piece but it's worth the money, belive me.

And another recommendation for Martin Fields (and Mobilefun too, come to that). Have been using these since the first MDA Compact and they've always been perfect.
And another vote for Martin Baker - Fits perfectly and you can't tell its there.....
Had one on my XDA2 for four years and its still fine. Just got one for my P3300 and its all you could ask......

The Vitiki (3M) one is the best - they're all a pain, but the more you pay the better really...
Problem is, they all have to fit within the plastic housing, so are awkward to fit and dirt etc gets down the edges...
Here's my solution: get a screensaver for an XDA Touch or something bigger than the Aretemis/Orbit... take the casing off (it's no that hard to do, then you get the screen exposed... you can then fit an oversized protector far more easily, and trim roughtly with a pair of scissors - when you put it back in the casing, all of the edges are hidden, and you can't tell there's a screen protector on!
Another tip is to put strips of sellotape over the screen first then pull them off slowly to remove any bits of dust etc, before fitting the protector.
I used the protecor that was shipped with my bosses' XDA Touch... it's given the screen a 'springy' feel but you can't see it's on!
Is it really necessary to use a screen protector??
I had an XDA neo for 6 month without any protector and without any scratches.
Brando forever
I use a proporta screen protector and its very good. Fits well, no bubbles and has a matt finish so it really eliminates reflections and glare which i found a huge problem in bright sunlight.
Im a Brando fan! Ive tried several others but Brando is the best!

Question: did the people who bought their screenprotector directly from the Brando-site use Worldpay as their payment method? Something smells fishy about worldpay. I want to order it with my visa, but I just want to be sure that Worldpay can be trusted.

Hey guys,
Just took delivery of the barely there case by casemate... Fits pretty good!
I just had a question about the included screen protector... Is anyone surprised how wrong they have got the size of the screen protector?
They have got the whole thing wrong... The grooves are cut all wrong, not size is not even close to right!
Either they put in the wrong phones screen protector or someone at manufacturing had a faulty tape measure!
Heres the picture of what i mean! (apologises for the shadows.. but you get the basic idea)

Yeah, looks like it.
This isn't the first person I've seen report getting an incorrect screen protector with their SGS2. I'm expecting one next week so shall see what I get sent.
I am going to try and answer all the questions in one post!
@experia1234 I tried to get a few shot all round to give you a good idea on how it fits. IMHO it doesn't add on much bulk which is good. It feels solidly made and takes away from the plastic feel of the actual cover. I think it feels much more like smooth rubber.
One thing i did notice though, Its very difficult to remove the case if you want to get to the battery... Not saying its a problem, I like that actually..at least i know it wont come off easily if accidentally dropped. It is rather slim and on closer inspection, It looks like its made of hard plastic with a rubber outer coating.
See pictures below! If you need any other views let me know.. ill try to accommodate!
Your screen protector seems to fit perfectly. Where did you purchase yours?
that seller is ****,I v bought screen protector from there。 the title was 'INCISIBLE SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR SUMSUNG I9000 GALAXY S 2' ,the last GALAXY S 2 and showed galaxy s2 pic on it.so that made me believed its galaxy s2 screen protector, but the real is it was S1 screen protector.
then I rated all bad all reviews negative, after that bluejamgem send a email to me requried me to change reviews.but I replied a email to bluejamgem to reject and mentioned i dont care my money ,then bluejamgem send another email in other language .i dont think its good words.sh it Ebay i first using that in the UK,i thingk i need go back Amazon
I bought it from amazon uk.

I did not buy the screen protector separately, its the one that comes packaged with the Case. I was just surprised how wrong they got the size of the screen protector. The case itself fits perfectly.
@bendispo..There is no screen protector on it at the moment. I am waiting for some to be delivered from ebay. I can let you know how they fit and feel.
Not my type of case. Protects the back only. If it were a full case that lipped around the edges which also keeps it safe when you put the phone face down.

thin, looking nice, I'm not afraid to use my sgs outdoors anymore.

my case arrived today..similar problems with the screen protector..much smaller than my screen and with no home buttom cut..
i already complained to case mate with an email...
case is as good as always..very slim but does not protect some parts of the phone as well as the tpu cases..
case mate answer my email immidiately..
they told me that this was by mistake and they will produce new screen protectors for galaxy s 2 in 1 or 2 weeks..
they ask for my address and they will post me the correct sreen protector..
Well i got my barely there today without any screen protector. Fairly annoyed and the retailer got quite an angry email too.

I'm French and I bought a case-mate for my I9100 from the same seller. It spent two weeks and I didn't receive it yet. I paid it a Saturday, and the next Monday, I received an e-mail telling me:
"Recent updates of your order information
Your items are marked as delivered.",
I don't think the seller is superman... in one day, he couldn't have packaged it and sent it to my home... So, do you think it's a postal error ?
Thx
I hope it's ok to post this here... but I ordered a white case mate barely there for the Galaxy S II before I realized that the S II was not compatible with t-mobile. I was able to cancel the phone order, but not the case order (go figure).
SO I have a white barely there case mate for sale, it will be new in box, if anyone is interested, I'd sell it at retail price, but free shipping. Just PM me if interested.
Looks nice, im going to buy the same case... but WTF with the screen, IT MUST BE A JOKE!!! how can they do that :S:S:S
Just for information, I received my case (look at my older post) today, so a little more than 3 weeks after purchase...and without screen protector. It seems to be a fake one, the finitions aren't really good (the speaker are cover on the half and the welding line is visible).
Seems like it protects like the original samsung mesh case... so I stay at my mesh case.
I got the white barely there and same problem I got the wrong screen protector as well. Problem is I got from the local retailer and they refuse to change for be.
I notice that the finishing quality has dropped. There are visible welding lines, something I have not seen in my previous dhd barely there

The ones on eBay are the worst ss in the world I've used them they are horrible and crumple easily u will know once u receive them
Vikuiti are the best ones I have ever used hands down. Better than Martin Fields (these are my second favorite but they scratch more easily) and way better than any nonames. I was not uncommon for them to last half a year without tiniest scratch and much longer than that if ur not as fussy as I am.
Don't get http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Savvies-...ting_LaptopAccessories_RL&hash=item27bf6538f0
Just got mine today and while it was relatively easy to apply on (feels a bit cheap though), it's slightly too big for the Note's screen and the home button cutout is in the wrong location.
Waiting eagerly for SGPStore / Steinheil to start stocking Galaxy Note screen protectors... now they're really quality. Base films made and finished in Japan, packaged in Korea. Pricey but awesome.

I have ordered http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180738539995?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I will report on them
I wonder if the Note has Corning Gorilla glass screen just like the Galaxy S2. I don't think I'll ever need a screen protector if that's the case. I've been using the Galaxy S2 without any screen protector for months and it's still as good as new.
From what I've read elsewhere on another thread, it doesn't have Gorilla Glass.
Just ordered the Skinomi fully body one with the CF back. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
Dropped my Note for the first time today and noticed 3 small surface scratches. Damn it!!! As soon as Zagg releases an InvisiShield protector I'm all on it.
I've only ever tried one Martin Fields and it was TERRIBLE -

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note-4135.php according to this it has gorilla glass.
but as is always the case, thin glass made to cover a large surface area will be more fragile than this glass made to cover a smaller surface area.
i just bought a dell streak otterbox impact case, was able to cut it to fit my note. using the included dell streak screen protector as well, just big enough to cover the usable part of the screen. should last until my proper screen protector arrives.
Just received my amFilm screen protectors and have to say they are one of the best plastic screen guards I've used to date. Here is what the company has to say on their amazon page: (then my opinions)
Invisible, superior quality, 3-layer PET film that will not distort the High Definition screen clarity/natural color pallette
Protects screen from daily scratches, dust, scrapes, and normal signs of wear
Attaches smoothly with self-adhering surface, leaves no residue when removed
Includes: (3) Screen Protectors, Micro-Fiber Cleaning Cloth, Squeeze Card, Installation Manual
The package I received looks very professional and was undamaged during transit thanks to the bubble wrap envelope they used to send it in. :good:

Inside the packaging, I found the usual items, (squeegee card, microfiber cloth) plus a couple things usually not found with screen protectors, like detailed installation instructions (2 methods described) and dust removal/hinge stickers. Nice touch.
I prefer using the side hinge method of application, but I'm sure vertical application is just as good.
After applying the protector, I went about looking closely at it in different light sources, swiping and tapping my brains out. I have to say that after the initial "break-in" (getting skin oil worked in) I really couldn't tell the difference between the protector and real glass. It's very smooth and hard. Touch response was not affected at all by it, at least I couldn't tell any difference. There is no rainbow effect when viewed closely in the light, and as a matter of fact, it looks like clear glass.
Screen coverage is just about edge to edge, so even without a case, you really can't tell it's on there. Cutouts are perfectly aligned.
It is somewhat oleophobic, but I have yet to see one that is 100% anti skin oil. But good nonetheless. If I didn't tell you I had a screen protector on my phone, you'd be hard pressed to notice it. This is simply the best one I've used so far, and they now have a loyal customer. And, as of this writing, they are only $1.00 for 3 (includes shipping) http://www.amazon.com/amFilm-Invisi...ywords=amfilm+premium+screen+protector+moto+g
I defy you to find a better deal. Great product, awesome price. I would pay $1 per sheet for these, easily. Look no further if you need screen protectors for your G. amFilm makes screen protectors for other phones too.
I would show you how it looks on my phone, but it's invisible!

You won't regret it. Just take your time and do it right.
A friend of mine just commented how much like glass it looks and feels like. :good:

This isn't a comparison thread. If you want to talk about that particular screen protector, start a new thread.
I bought one the other day. $1 total.
How is it installed? With water or?
Dry install
Just ordered mine of Amazon. Good price and looks really good!
Got mine today!! I ordered it the 13th and Amazon said it was going to come either the 20th or 25th. Pretty damn good.
The installation is very easy, though you have to have stickers ready when doing step 1-2 because otherwise keeping the protector in "place" is sort of hard because its a little slippery. But once you put on the stickers it's very easy to just simply put it on.
The screen quality is great. I don't even notice it's on. Great protector for the price. I did the Hinge Installation by the way. It's very easy. If you don't get it, watch the video they supply in with the QR code in the instruction manual.
I just received my amFilm screen protectors today, and they're pretty good, but I don't have much to compare them to. I've only put screen protectors on two of my phones before. The only thing I'll have to get used to is the fact that swiping from the side, I catch on the edge of the screen protector. I use Sidebar Pro, with my trigger set at the middle of the right edge of the screen. Swiping to open the bar, I catch on the protector, but not badly enough to disrupt what I'm doing. Other than that, so far, so good.
Hi,
your review reads so awesome that I tried to purchase these protectors. However I live in Germany and they do not ship to countries outside the US.
I would like to ask you for a favour: would someone buy these protectors (pref. with prime for free shipping) and then forward them to be in Germany? Can someone guess how much this would be? I would really appreciate this.
Screen protectors here cost about 9-11 USD and I cannot find any reviews.

They are no longer $1.00 on amazon, and now go for $4.95. With shipping, they would be very expensive. You're better off just buying what's available in Germany.
Can the op re post the instruction sheet in better quality....

Does the screen guard cover the sensors ?

No. Youtube has videos of how to do the hinge method of screen protector installation.

So they don't get unresponsive? I've had some on my Pico which did.
after removing the crap screen protector that came with my otterbox commuter case, which had an insane amount of glare and made the screen so unresponsive it was frustrating, this HD clear screen protector by amfilm truly delivers as op stated. there is now zero glare and the touch responsiveness is pin point accurate! I'm one very satisfied customer. thank you for the recommendation sir.

$3.15 + $4 shipping = $7.15. Still the lowest price for tempered glass I've ever seen. They also have for another model like Samsung S5 or iPhone 5S.
No review yet. Pretty much new company. From China of course. (not surpised when it come to this price). Look around and OMG, price start at $2. I know this may be crap but seriously, this is so cheap, dirt cheap.
Some infos I found from this company:

From Mar 2014.
Short review:
The package was fine. The glass have oleophobic coating for sure. This glass fit very well in my screen without any bubble, not like a Nillkin. Just remove my Nillkin and apply without any issues. For someone who said the nexus 5 screen is a hole's problem, not the Nillkin glass, I am highly doubt it. In fact, I may got a lemon with this Nillkin. Anyway, the screen is perfect fit and so smooth. I am so satisfied.
The quality is solid. Below is a picture of this glass's thickness. I cannot say much about it's quality now as I just received it today, will update the review after few weeks using. But first impression was good and nothing to complain
It came with cleaning kit like other tempered glass.
The shipping speed was fast. It's China Post Air Mail but only 9 days (include weekend).
I can say with this price range this thing is amazing value. Highly recommend.
Here are some picture when I open the package. Sorry I don't have a camera to make a vid when apply it, but this thing is pretty similar like Nillkin glass. I will get more photo when I borrow one from my bro.

If you had posted this yesterday, I would have totally tried it, but I just ordered a Nillkin . I may regret the decision soon.

I got a Nillkin too, but after about 10 times applied and re-applied my screen still had a big hole in the bottom (not affect the screen view), which is so annoying for me so I got this to replace. If this sucks I lost 7 bucks and apply the Nillkin back. After all it's just 7 bucks. I suggest you guys get this as a backup. Well, Nillkin was originally China product but it's proved to be good brand until now. With this unbeatable price this one may worth a try.
And btw, Paypal accepted.
that website is super shady. no ssl at all, plain order forms, no email verification, domain registered to "mr protector screen".
no thanks, but good luck.

You do know that the bubble at the bottom of the screen is because the Nexus 5 screen is not 100% flat right? It is not because of the Nillkin screen protector. It happens with all of the tempered glass screen protectors. You just need to really rub it out hard or use a small clamp with soft cloth between the clamp and screen.
Just do a search here and you'll see pretty much everyone having this problem regardless of which screen protector they are using.
Anyone running this?

Seems they are out of stock, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ITC6DRK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but that was 6.99 with prime shipping and is working wonders on my device .
Did anybody bite the bullet for the community and ordered one?

I do. Just got an e-mail from them say my glass had been shipped. Will do a review whenever I got it.
Usually these cheap screen protectors come without any oleophobic coating on it which makes the screen/glass very tough to glide your finger over.

Just received my glass today from them. A short review was updated.
There are plenty of sub-$5 glass screen protectors on eBay. Don't think you can go wrong with any. Although some have three cutouts instead of two...
Can I order it in India??? Have someone ordered this from India??

I actually have ordered screen protectors from this website for my cousins' iphone 5s and galaxy s5 and they say that the glass seems to be holding up pretty well. I actually plan on ordering one as well just to replace my nillikin just in case it breaks. How are the edges? Are the rounded just like the nillikin? Just wondering because that's the only way for me to get my case to fit properly.

Agree to this it is not an issue with the protector but rather the nexus screen itself as the tempered glass does not stick at the bottom we need to press to apply it properly whereas in some nexus it just fit smooth
How is X-PROTECTIONS holding up after 5 months?
Are you still using X-PROTECTIONS Google Nexus 5 Screen Protector Premium Tempered Glass? If yes, how is it holding up? Please kindly offer update after five months of usage, thank you!
