Odd issue: when I try to cook mods in the kitchen, it seems like the custom icons are not applied. Battery works fine, but wifi etc. do not update when flashing the zip.
Trying to get the G16 (?) androidian to apply. I would try other icons, but the kitchen is super busy atm, so cooking simple mods takes 1.5 hours (30-40 minutes to get into the kitchen, 30-40 minutes to cook).
Known issue with kitchen or with the icon pack?
Also is there a way to enable the stock/aosp gingerbread icon behaviour (white icons when no connection to google can be made, otherwise green)?
it looks like the icons are still in the framework.
Cheers

Hopefully someone can help me. a little background. I love a lot of the icons Riptide uses and the color menus. I also love a lot of the custom ui elements of myns.
In the past i have been able to "combine" the elements by editing the theme and have done a pretty good job doing the new riptide v9 and Myns rom (rls 4). I have everything almost exactly how i want it except for 1 part. This is what i am hoping someone can help with. As a warning i am not a developer just someone who has played around with changing themes etc to get the effect that i want.
In warm 2.2 when you pull down the notification bar you have a switch toggle. For some reason i cant seem to get it to show all the icons when i use riptide. it only shows 4. (see picture below.) I wouldn't mind the icons going back to the original ones in Myns if by changing them would still leave the icons on the notification bar itself as is. Anyone have any ideas on what i can tweak to try to get all of the toggles back on the screen? Is this something i would have to edit the .jars for? (havent had to edited them so far)
as an update i still can not get this working hopefully someone with more theme experience then me will be able to help. I have tried going .png by .png to find the gray boxes that show up. I believe i found them as the myn framework does not have that .png and it looks to be the box however i cant just remove the .png without bootloop. I am guessing i will have to adjust a .xml file or .jar to get this working as well
I have been playing around with CM 6.1.2 wimax alpha 2. If you are unfamiliar with this it has some changes to the framework xmls and i am assuming some .jar files. These changes break themes that are not made for it. I have been modifying the files to get my theme working on it however have run in to a snag. I cant seem to get the "super circle Battery mod" to work with it.
I have moved over the files like you do with almost any other theme (after decompling for XML). i then re compile it and move the files over to my theme. At first this seemed to do nothing and it still only showed every 20%. Eventually i decided to modify the Stat_battery_ files by hand to. Doing this completely takes away the battery icon.
The question i have is has anyone gotten the super circle or similar battery mods to work (where it will change icons every %)? If so any guidance?
I've built this theme from pieces found in other mods. I'm not a designer nor a developer but I like to personalise what I'm using.
Also, I truly like the stock gingerbread look so, I've tried over the last few weeks various combinations of colours and images in the framework and applications. Because I really like how everything came out and maybe I'm not the only one liking stock stuff, I thought to share it.
The main credits are going to Ock and Darkyy because I've used mainly elements from their work.
This theme will NOT be maintained over time and I welcome anyone who think that certain things can be improved, to modify it accordingly. Of course, the obvious bugs will be corrected as it will be found or indicated.
The theme is tested on a deodexed JVB rom so I wouldn't recommend trying it on any other rom.
This theme has:
- AOSP lock screen only
- CRT screen off animation
- Green glowing overscroll
- lockscreen, phone and clock are sharing the same style for the interactive buttons (for unlocking, answering phone and turning off alarms)
- clean battery stats (no percentage)
- gingerbread launcher included
The theme is CWM3 flashable .. but please mount in advance the /system partition (from the mounts and storage cwm menu).
I personally use ADW launcher with gingerbread look and I've used the icons from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870691
Enjoy (or not ) ...

If someone wants I can provide the framework with the percentage over the battery (but will no longer look stock-like).
Nice theme, I love it!
Hi ro_explorer,
can you tell me where can I find (and how to install) only the AOSP lock screen...
I kinda like the stock TouchWiz (or I just got used to it) but the clock at the bottom of the locked screen is driving me nutz
thanks in advance!
I know this probably seems like a stupid question, but how can I find themes that are compatible with my current set-up?
I spent a couple of nights trying to apply various themes without realising that:
- The theme has to be specific to my ROM (in this case, the final Froyo-based MIUI-au)
- I won't be able to get MetaMorph to work because Desires have /system locked down.
Honestly all I want is a nice dark theme that doesn't have dark-grey-on-black text, and the glow battery indicator. I can apply this theme which seems to work ok bar the unreadable dialog text, but I can't seem to get the battery mod to work through Theme-Manager, and can't find how to pull my current systemui.apk out so I can drop the battery bits in and replace it.
I'm assuming this is because the file structure is different in gingerbread?
I'm completely lost at this point, so any help whatsoever would be insanely appreciated.
*EDIT* Can I use the kitchen, by any chance?

Click to collapse
I was about to suggest that.

Another good way is to use CM7 based theme that has Theme Chooser built in.
Third way is to use GO Launcher, which has a lot of customizable themes (although you need to pay for it)
Cheers... so how do I get the files required for upload?
I think it is easier to click on "Kitchen's list" and select the ROM you are using.
Enhanced 236 is one of my favourite ROMs, with Xperiatized being a close second. I know of only 1 mod which applies some ICS-styling to the ROM. I think that mod makes the ROM looks a little less cartoon-ish in aspects such as the checkboxes. However I'd like to make some more visual mods but have no idea how to do so.
There are two things I'd like to change:
images used in the notification bar toggles;
notification bar indicators - WiFi, battery etc;
progress bar.
Can anyone point me to a guide on how to make these mods? I have tried UOT Kitchen in the last with no luck. In that instance I applied the mod I had made but didn't see any visual difference.
Well you could use Holo Launcher it changes most of the icons and stuff. And you can try taking Rom Toolbox from the playstore , from there you can easily change some system fonts with preview before applying , themes and such. And you can pick images for statusbar icons also. Good luck.
