Lockscreen Wallpaper - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So basically i've got Mike's ARHD rom flashed and the code-red theme on top (with 3.0 lockscreen). As it stands whatever my home wallpaper is, its the same for the lockscreen, and I'd lke to have a different one. So does anyone know where the lockscreen wallpaper source file is located, im hoping i can just switch the jpg i want in and then my home and lockscreen wallpapers will be different.
any ideas?

given that i've understood you:
i dont have ARHD, and never used it so i havent seen the lockscreen wallpaper and normal wallpaper. Im using Stock ROM and the lock screen is see-through so i see the home wallpaper when its locked.
but anyway... in my stock ROM its under /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk (it might be called 'LockScreen.apk' or something, just search).
Using Root Explorer (or something of the likes) View the .apk file and go to 'res' folder (its normally in the res folder, if not then check the others), you should find it in one of the folders in the 'res' folder.

[Q] Directory for lockscreen image

Which directory is the image file for the lockscreen in? I need to delete it.
When I change the wallpaper the locksreen wallpaper changes to the same picture every time (not the same as wallpaper). So I was hoping that maybe I could remove the file for the lockscreen wallpaper and thus resetting the setting? Even after full wipe and flash of different ROMs, it still is the same picture every time..
no one?

Where is the default lockscreen wallpaper file?

I changed my lockscreen wallpaper, now I fancy returning to the default (red starburst design). I cannot find it ANYWHERE. Where is the default lock screen wallpaper?
I couldn't find it either.
I could only access it if I wanted to change the phone wallpaper (not the lockscreen wallpaper) but it still didnt give its location. It is probably buried in a zip file or something

Probably stored in a system apk (like SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk/touchwiz-framework-res.apk). Browse through some of them with 7-zip, extract any /res/drawable***** folders and look through them, you might find it. If you do, just copy it to your SD card and load it from there.
its inside framework-res.apk under system/framework.
how do i get into system/framework?

any filemanager just about. I use Linda/root explorer.
Wrong y'all
Go with root explorer to data/data/com.coliris.media/files and delete zzzzzz_lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg and you will auto revert to default whatever it is in framework-res.
Or you can delete gallery data In settings and restart phone.

Better yet intall the ASTRO file manager then hit the search button for the file.

[Q] 2.3.3 folder icons on 2.3.4?

Since the 4.0.2.A.0.42 (2.3.4) update, folders on home screens are now shown as a box with small icons of the first four shortcuts rather than the user-selectable fixed folder icons of the previous firmware.
Personally, I think the "small icons in a box" icons are really ugly. But there's a practical problem too - when changing to home pages with several folders on them, the launcher sometimes freezes while it reads the icons of all the shortcuts contained in these.
Is there any way (a mod is required, I presume) to restore the old 2.3.3 behaviour and just choose folder icons for folders instead of displaying their contents? Any help gratefully received!
Instal some other launch
Or
Instal v6 superchargher for fixing problem about freezeing.

It looks like SiMi Folder is an option, but I still need to know where the original SE icons for the folders are - I extracted home.apk but they weren't there, so they may have been removed in this firmware. Can anyone help? Maybe extract them and upload the icons somewhere?
I still have the problem of not being able to use these folders in the dock of course as they're not widgets, so if there's another solution I'd be interested. I like the SE launcher otherwise, and don't want to get rid of it.
-edit-
Never mind, I found them in an old version of home.apk I found here. If there's another solution I'm still interested though.

[Q] App drawer icon

Hello guys,
I'm trying to change my app drawer icon in (stock) ics 4.0.4. I realy dont like the original and dont want to use a launcher.
I replaced the .png in the Home.apk / res / drawable-hdpi and drawable-mdpi. All with the same name then the originals.
Then placed it back to Sytem/app with root explorer.
Renamed the old stock Home.apk and reboot.
After reboot its still the stock icon and it works normal. Only thing i have to do is put widgets again on home screen.
How is it possible that the stock icon appairs even if i deleted the .png from /drawable?
And whats the correct way to change it?
Many thanks

[Q] Removing Virgin Mobile Splash

I'm trying to create my own ROM, I'm new to it, but I'm learning... Slowly. Anyways, How would I go about removing the Virgin Mobile splash screen when the phone starts up, for one it's annoying as hell, and another I wanted to put in a different boot animation. Also, how would I put in a different lockscreen? Do I just flash it through recovery?
You can flash a splash screen only if you are S-OFF......since you have a Virgin Mobile Wildfire S(CDMA?) You can do that easily
Boot animations(named "bootanimation.zip")are present in the "/system/customize/resource" on stock roms,Use a file manager like ES File
Explorer or others that have root permissions and replace the "bootanimation.zip" with the one you like.......Do keep in mind that the bootanimation should be renamed to "bootanimation.zip" and should be for our screen resolution(320x480 aka HVGA or sometimes termed as MDPI)
As far as the lockscreen is concerned.....you have to download the Lockscreen apps from the Play Store(there are no recovery flashables as of now)

Of course I'm rooted and all the fun stuff that comes with it. I used UOT kitchen and themed the ROM with it and everything since I don't know how to theme manually, and I changed the boot animation with that, flashed it but it doesn't work. Some of the theme goes through but other parts don't.
Also, what do you mean i can't change the lockscreen without an app? There are roms like Wildchild and the sense 3.5 that have changed lockscreens.
