I am trying to unroot my DHD for warrenty purposes. I was wondering if I installed an RUU would the CWM Recovery still be there? or will that become factory preset too?
Thanks alot.
CYN
Stock recovery will be installed with the ruu.

Hi guys, I rooted my phone (2.1 stock/unbranded) using unrevoked, then I flashed my ROM with OpenDesire using clockworkmod. After that I can't access clockworkmod so I installed ROM Manager and flashed it again (works).
After that I flashed it again with updated* HTC 2.10 ROM from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741663, then bootloop. So I removed the battery, and now I can't access the recovery(only hboot or whatever you call it).
What should i do guys?
Do you have s-off? Flash a new recovery from fastboot if you do, you can run a stock htc ruu from fastboot too, s-off isnt needed for that.

Hello XDA,
I have been trying to unroot my phone, but have been running into a problem. I was able to restore my backup of the official Sprint ROM I took after using to Revolutionary tool. But I cannot figure out how to install a stock bootloader.
I tried using the files at; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801568 but when I load up the gootloader and press volume up to have it install the bootloader, it says "[1] Bootloader - bypassed" and asks me if I would like to restart.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My phones info;
HBOOT 6.16.1002
Radio 1.36.00.04.02
Security S-OFF
Android 2.3.3
Baseband 1.36.00.04.02
Kernel 2.6.35.10-gc0a661b
To the best of my knowledge it can't be unrooted yet.

According to this site, all hboot versions after 0.97 are not downgradeable, however, since you have the 'international' hboot version, I'm not sure if it applies, but I am 'assuming' it does.

Hi!
If I use the eng bootloader by jkoljo and flash the new 2.50.406.2 rom through the bootloader (removing the recovery.img and the hboot.nb0 img) or flash Android Revolutions through recovery I find it sluggish.
If I use the 2.50.406.2 RUU and upgrade the whole phone (which means, I downgraded to 1.32 first to do the s-on), my phone feels a lot faster!
Why does the 2.50.406.2 rom feel faster using the bootloader from that ruu, than using the engenering bootloader from jokoljo?
Probably something to do with the bootloader partitions

Just tried to only do the radio s-off, upgrade to 2.50 using an official ruu, gain temp root by fre3vo,flash recovery through rom manager and flash android revolutions. The rom is flying! It wasn't nearly as fast when I was using the engenering bootloader!
Hi
I currently have an HTC Desire (Unbranded), S-Offed, Running CyanogenMod and ClockworkMod Recovery, and I am planning on getting a new Google Nexus Prime when it is released.
I was planning on Trading in my Desire (via Envirofone or Mazuma etc), so I would like to fully wipe it, and also return it to a stock, unrooted device.
Which official exe / ROM should I use to achieve this?
Also, is there anything special I should do to fully wipe before unrooting?
Thanks
Stew
