Does anyone know of a good equalizer app available? I have a rooted Epic running SRF 1.1, which comes with Voodoo, but with all of the things that Voodoo does, one thing it does not do is function as an equalizer (as far as I can tell). I'm looking for an equalizer that functions at the level that Voodoo does, which is to say that it's not app-specific. If nothing exists like this, then does anyone know of an equalizer that works at least with Pandora? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I found the app Galaxy Tuner. It works great, I just tested it. Between that app and Voodoo, sound on my Epic sounds pimp through the 3.5mm port.

Thank you for replying that you got it to work. I was wondering myself until I finally found this thread.
Will this work on ef02? Won't let me open any of the options

Hey,
Anyone use power amp for music? What's the best settings for max volume but no distortion? i listen to mostly rock and pop
Thanks

I do not think that there will ever be one perfect setting regardless to the genre of music you listen to. Your best bet is to use the presets and tweak from there.

never used it, never will probably
The iphone 4 always sounds more whole if that makes sense? Perhaps its best using the stock player? Lol

PowerAmp has been the best music player I've seen and used on a phone till date...
Just did a back to back comparison with the stock player and I have to admit the stock player sounds better to me.

Just upgraded to paid version, sorry if this was covered but how do you get lyric support? I see a greyed out button in info when you longpress a track.

+1 and by a great margin as well.
Dont think lyrics are available yet itll be in an update.
Poweramp + audioboost is a great combination!
What preset do you guys use?
I tweak the equalizer to suite my ears.
I am trying to buy it myself but market restrictions suck. Is there any other way to purchase?

Thanks, that should be nice additional feature.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
is there any other way than the market to buy???
I'm running test 34dead horse with kb1 modem on rooted samsung vibrant, and currently using BLN control, but don't like the fact that the light stays continuously on when you have a notification. And blinky seems very unstable (for me at least). Another alternative would be nice.

Sorry, I don't have any idea what you are talking about. Did you mean to post this question in the Epic section?
No, for some reason, a mod moved this from android apps. I'm talking about back light notification. With the proper kernel, the capacitive touch buttons on the vibrant/epic/captivate/fascinate act as an led indicator.

There's a mod here (Theimapler) that seems to rove these threads pretty regularly. Maybe Impaler can move this to the Vibrant section for you?
Well, it doesn't have to be specific to the vibrant, it works for any sgs with the proper kernel

The problem is most of us are running the DK28 kernel which we can do very little modification to. So I doubt anyone on the cutting edge here has the proper kernel.
Hey folks. I just got my Epic and installed Snesoid and Tiger Snes. However when I try to play any game (even if the sound is enabled in the settings), I can't hear anything. Is there a setting I've overlooked? Has anyone else had this issue? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Is your media volume on? Probably sounds like a stupid question but media and ring have different volume settings
Thanks! I knew it was someting silly like that.

Does anyone know of an app that mocks headphones being plugged in so you can toggle louder vulume settings using voodoo sound? I know there's volume boost apps but they all don't work, voodoo is the only one that I know of that does.. It'd be awesome to have one, although it'd probably mess your speaker up using really loud volume.. any ideas? Thanks

Even if there was one voodoo wouldn't make it louder because voodoo changes the amp setting in the phone and the amp settings don't affect the speaker no mater what!

Which one is better and why?
Or will both benefit in unique ways?
Power amp. Give it a shot. Best player sound i have found.

when I had my vibrant I was using poweramp.
Now, with the S2, I removed the stock music player.
And use ubermusic player combined with the equalizer app.
Personally I have no interest in XLoud or Beats.
DSP Manager is perfect, light weight, and easily surpasses the two in functionality. It just needs to be configured right.
Numerous threads state that these two are a placebo / more of a gimmick. From personal use I have to agree. A waste of resources.
BRAVIA engine however is quite a different story
I like player pro, it's pure and no changes to the sound.

Thanks. But I was more concerned with speaker volume and speaker quality and not equalizer stuff or headphone quality. I heard xloud tries to prevent the speakers from sounding tinny but rather more fuller and louder. DSP achieve the same and more is what you are saying?
Does BRAVIA engine makes the video quality look better or the video to perform better (less choppiness or shutter)?
Power amp has it's own dsp

If anyone had any info on why dsp manager is not working at all please give me a response, to me it's a funny app.
