Sense Gingerbread

Hey G2, desire z and nexus one have a gingerbread sense rom. How come no devs started to try to get porting gbread sense to incredible?

Check out the warm z twopointtwo Nightlies.....its extremely nice gingerbread look and feel with sense 2.0....much nicer then the stock Rom. Not quite gingerbread but it looks pretty sambhar close

I would imagine that after the OTA GB update, most ROMs will be based off it?

Yeah, my main draws to Gingerbread were the performance improvements. I actually noticed my incredible clocking at higher speeds a little better with CM7 nightlies. However, I missed sense apps too much like the camera, facebook contact integration, and the dialer/lockscreen.

What's your perfect ROM?

What does your perfect ROM have?
Is it cyanogen mod, is it sense, etc...
I ask that because there are just a few roms and i want to start an own Rom
And I would like to get some ideas so it fits your wishes

My perfect one ATM is Ginger Yoshi.
It's like CM7 only better

You might want to work on a Ginger - Sense ROM, if it is possible. Because, ATM, there are a lot of 2.3 AOSP options out there, and, just one Ginger Sense (Which is sadly abandoned). So, you'll probably get a better response.

That's an idea but there would be some graphic glitches because of missing graphic sources.. But when gingerbread with sense for desire comes out I consider doing that
For now I just want to improve ginger yoshi mainly

Yes, please try out, our just continue work on that one Ginger - Sense ROM.
If you look out there you will see a lot of people begging someone to continue evilisto's work

Hmm seems to be nice but there is much to fix

Isn't there Gingersense for the Desire already? My friend is using Crystal Kingdom 3 (Sense 3.0) on his Desire, and, just a quick browse in the Desire Android Development Section shows a lot of Gingerbread Sense ROMs.
Obviously, since you have decided already, this post is kinda pointless, but, just letting you know.

Yes but if you use it some time you see that there are graphic glitches and some things who aren't fixed... If an official update comes with sense everything should work like a charm
I used many times sense 3.0 on my hd2 and i know what I am saying

Thanks for your work! The perfect rom is to me is absolutely an Ginger-Sense ROM, with almost 5 mflops and sense dialer/contacts/friend stream.

What do you think about a sense looking ginger rom?
So not a real sense...
It would run pretty fast on wildfire because it's not so heavy like sense roms?!

I'm running 3.5 Sense on my Dinc2 right now. Absolutely love it...

Oh wow, I didn't know the T-Bolt didn't have GB. But yeah, the sense 3.5 you're running isn't official for this phone. Its a port

Disregard....they updated I guess...still sense 2.1 like ours by sounds...I was gonna say wtf that'd be some BS. Sense 3.5 is sweet tho ran it myself.

Yeah, this was simply just not going to happen and I will tell you why. TB and INC2 are still on 2.1. There is zero% chance that it would skip 3.0 completely and go to 3.5

Don't forget 3.5 is for wvga. So it could happen. But highly unlikely.

I run a full Sense 3.0 3D ROM on my Tbolt. I'd rather have the 3D than Sense 3.5. I can't believe anyone ported 3.5 to the original dInc. It seriously drags ass on that thing. I run my Tbolt at 1.6GHz to get the smoothness and speed I want out of the ROM I'm using. It's not bad at stock speed, but its not butter smooth either. Since the SoC is the same between devices, performance should be similar.

[Q] What Type of Rom is Wanted?

I am looking to make 1 last rom for the Incredible (For the time being) and would like to ask users what type of rom they would like. I will do my best to make it bugless and awesome. Vote in the poll I post, or if it isn't there, post in the comments.

I love the look of McSense 2.5, and I think a stock, de-bloated, sense 1 rom themed in maybe red or a darker blue would be nice.

Yeah like that lol.

There are no Sense 2.0 roms out right now with developer support... I'd keep the 3.x features to a minimum , if any at all. I thought sense 2.0 ran great on our phones, I miss it

I'd go with pure inc2, maybe black some things out that are white (status bar is hideous on a sense rom coming from cm7) maybe tweak the status bar icons icons a little bit, optimize it. I'd love a cm7&sense mashup. Cm7 pallet on a sense rom. No white menus for miles

I thought of this today. A senseless 3.5 Rom? Haven't seen one yet. Since sense lags a bit on full 3.5 I dumped half the junk and used adw launcher ex and it was fast. Even the personalize still worked on it. I was running joels prime XL. I know if it was purposed senseless it would run better then using root explorer to remove stuff and safer lol.

Id like a fully functional ginger doubleshot rom. Thats what id like.

I want a completely functional debloated stock gingerbread-sense, with all the nice AOSP customizations. I guess what I am thinking of is what Sky Raider 5.0 would be, if it existed.

I think the desire HD, fully functional with no bugs would be awesome! Sense 3.0 by HTC put on a phone with similar specs as ours. Get the bugs worked out, and it would be pretty smooth. Sense 3.0 ran the best of the sense 3.0+ ROMS. Get a solid base, then we could theme it. Please.

I know that this question was probably posted before, but I figured I would post it again because people's opinions change over time.
I have been running cm7.2 for a while now and was wondering what perks some sense roms have over cm7.2 if any at all and if it would be worth it to switch to a sense rom?

The ONLY reason I would go back to a sense rom is for the camera.

Sense is heavier so AOSP roms will have better battery life. Sense has its widgets and camera. I don't know if it's better for CM7. 2 but I had multitouch issues with CM and MIUI and aerovan v. 7 kernel so that's the reason I switched. You should try it and see if you like it or not. Personally, I love MIUI but I can't live with the multitouch issues so I changed to SkyRaider Zeus

+1 on the SRZ. I'm sticking this one out until we get our ics leak.

I lost my phone for about a week. When I was helping my friend clean his house I found it in his chair and the camera was cracked. I can't even open any camera app. On top of that I just realized my speaker is about to blow out

I looked at the gnex, but it really didn't appeal to me that much. I saw some pictures about a phone rumored to be the inc3 coming out this summer so I am gonna wait and see what happens with that before I decide on a new phone.

Sense 4.0 with GSM
Do you know a Sense 4.0 ROM for GSM?

I go back and forth between sense and CM7.2 Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Sense bluetooth works WAY better for me, but I like the customization of CM7 and the quickness.
Magnolia and Skyraider Zues have been my favorite sense roms and gotta give it up for Condemned's CM7 rom.
Your mileage may vary of course..

I prefer Sense to CM7 and CM9 too.

Not until HTC releases source for ICS.

I prefer sense because of how stable it is. I have been running magnolia most of the time, but I have like 5 different roms on my sd card so I never know what I will be running from day to day.

yes, androidcentral/bgr have renders and specs of it but that doesnt really affect this phone
