[Q] Real Time Battery Status - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I saw the other threads and they didn't quite answer my question. I was wondering, is there an app, for root users on the Epic 4G, that can tell me my real time battery status? Such as the current mV?
Thanks,
Aaron

There are apps that show MV, you can see it in spare parts, but if your looking for a widget of some type I'm not sure.

App/widget for time remain on battery

Are there any apps or widgets that displays time remaining on battery?

Darn it, I think I was supposed to post in q and a.

Yes it should go in q&a, and yes there are tons of widgets that can do this. Search the word battery on the market and I'm sure you'll find one that suits your needs. Personally, I use Sense Analog Clock, and create an activity link to its Quick System Info using launcherpro activities.

Juice Plotter
Once you use it you wont use anything else
I prefer battery monitor widget to juice plotter IMHO
Juice plotter isn't accurate and use Battery life by curvefish on the market pretty kewl. Plus having the option to see the battery temps as well a cool look

[Q] Phone Temperature App?

Hey all,
Does anyone know a good app that displays the internal temperature of the phone? Or is it found somewhere in the settings? At work I get a weak signal so when Im streaming a lot of data it tends to heat up.
Tempmonitor does this, so does setcpu

[Q] Battery App

Anyone know of a time counting app to display how long the phone has been off the charger? Kind of like the built in one in CM9 but one off of the market?
Want to see how long my stock EL30 lasts with heavy usage.
I have a feeling you didn't search at all and simply posted here for a quick answer.
Nevertheless -- https://play.google.com/store/search?q=uptime&c=apps
I searched but didnt think of "uptime" sorry. I just simpply typed battery percentage or counter. Im a noob sorry

battery indicator is the app you're looking for. in the pro version i'm sure that you can see everything, in the free not sure
Ok thanks. I tried the previous suggestion but it just says how long it has been on.
This was exactly what i was looking for thank you.

why not better battery stats and not to mention for uptime in the settings it tells you under about phone and battery

Take a look at these battery stats: all of a sudden, my battery life is crap!

So, I've been using CleanGB 1.1.2 for a few weeks, and I tried flashing a cm7 rom. Didn't like how much issues I was having, so I restored my old CleanGB rom. Ever since, my battery life is pathetic. I have an extended battery, usually charge it from 40% to 100% while I sleep. Now, its always charging because it dies so fast.
Take a look at the links, anyone have any answers? Thank you!

Try wiping battery stats....
If you don't know how the process works you can look at Qbking77's video on it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbYVv4nCveM
Percentages don't tell us anything. What is your display on time? What is listed in running services? How much deep sleep is your phone getting? These are all that matter, not the battery screenies.
If you have 30 minutes screen on time with high intensity and are syncing something in a poor signal area that percentage is typical. If your phone is just sitting there and it drops that much an hour later then there is an errant app not closing.
Wiping battery stats does nothing... id recommend follow kenny's advice here, we can't really help you if you don't help us help you =].

How can I prevent apps from opening in the background? Like, games for some reason are in my backgrounded apps. I never opened that game, so why is it starting?
Any advice on making sure these apps don't start unless I make it start myself?

My phone also restarts itself at 8% battery. Annoying. I'm about to just change phones.

Hmm you might have a bad phone or there's something wrong. Id try going back to stock. Then re root and try a solid ROM. Like kennys's people rom or something else... see if that helps at all...

Problem is clear, all stats are fine except android system and display,no way is display that low it should be at least 60% the higher the better as it uses the most battery out of the lost batt, android system is way to high and I don't think there is a way to check what exactly it is, I would say flash a new rom.I had abnormally high cell standby and the other cell think I forgot the name haha, flashed a new rom (reaper 2.2.2) and I've had normal stats with display using the most. Get cpuspy battery monitor widget and spareparts and analyse your batt

They preload part of their code so that they open quicker when you want them. You can either use Autostarts to stop them or get paid version of Titanium Backup and freeze them until you want to use them or uninstall them.

On touchwiz? I don't know I've not been on it since cm9 released. But on cm9/aokp I get around 16hours with 4 being display. Or with my 3500 I get about 1day6hrs 5 or 6 being display.

That is just a misreport. It groups everything the phone does (basically being on except deep sleep) into Android System. The important stat is Display time.

Something is eating my battery

Hi everyone,
I got my Nexus 7, so I thought I could ease on the HOX a bit, but I found that something is still running rampant in the backgroundm but I can't find what it is, even using GSam Battery Monitor. Screen has only been on for 25 minutes, and already at 43%!
I used the HOX as mobile hotspot this morning in the train, when I arrived at work, it had 80% left. Rest of the day I only used it for the occasional whatsapp. It's not even closing time for work now, and it's close to 40%, so something is eating the battery, but I can;t find what!
See enclosed screenshots, I would love to hear some advice!
Kernel, but who knows why?
Also, your crappy mobile signal on the way to work when you had no WiFi... It didn't like that much.
yeah I can get into that, but I don't get why, at the last part, the screen isn't turned on, but it the kernel is switched on ALL the time, I guess something must be running rampant in the background. I've just started going to apps and force stopping a lot of things to be sure...
Try using watchdog, it tells you which app which above threshold, gsam never tells u what the kernel was upto. U can also try better battery stats and check kernel wake locks.
ViperX Goodness
Thanks, I hadn't heard of watchdog yet, installed it! I will buy better battery stats when things get really out of hand

better battery stats is available for free at XDA for members only.
Search and you will find it.

Are you using a career branded phone. Change the radio. Problem solved

Does your freq stay always at 1500? Check it via setcpu or CPU tweaker. Check the time of state.

try the "go power" app, it helps. always recommend it to my friends
