from what i have read, sense widgets require sense somehow, but are there any that do work? is there some sort of emulator or something like that that would allow them to work?
The actual sense rom is required for sense widgets, but apps like launcher pro plus, and fancy widget do the trick.

Yep, just get LauncherPro+ and a nice clock app... But before you buy Fancy Widget give this one a go: https://market.android.com/details?id=fr.clockwidget.lpclassicsense&feature=search_result
It will give your LP+ widgets more of a sense look, as well as add in the Sense home clock.

I had asked a similar question before but didn't get a clear answer, is there any way to add sense based widgets into adw launchers framework or any file at that to apply them wile running it? I figured it was possible because the .apks run but when I try to add a widget they aren't listed. Any help is much appreciated.

I've never been able to do this myself and I've tried a few times....I believe it probably can't be done because sense widgets are baked in as part of sense launcher. It'd be like trying to use launcher pro widgets in got sense UI. They're two separate entities each with their own goodies. I know you can get sense like widgets off the market. But anyways my belief is you can't do this but if you discover otherwise please let me know

Same boat kinda... The only thing I miss is the calendar that is in month view like in the basic stock.
Yeah I'm sure someone can make it happen though. If I find anything ill be sure to let you know.

Nope, they're tied to Rosie, I'm sure.
Use Launcherpro and Beautiful Widgets. Together, they create a very very close imitiation of Rosie. Beautiful Widgets has the people widget and Calendar widget that look exactly like Sense.
And if you like the clock, use Fancy Widget. A whole combination of these on a different ROM will make you think you're using Sense
Yeah I'm just gunna cut my losses and stick with a stock warm z rom. Any good dashboards recommended? I am a fan of the adw honey comb theme

LP? Yeah, I just usually do a search for Launcherpro in the Market and it comes up. But if LP makes you happy, let's flash a ROM to celebrate.
Hello.
If I pull HTC People Widget from stock ROM & install on CM7, that widget will working on ADW Launcher or not?
Nope.

thanks for quick reply.
I don't think anybody has ever been able to pull the HTC widgets out, and make them work on non-Sense ROMs. They are too integrated into the Sense framework. Plus, they only work with the HTC launcher, even on Sense ROMs.
Just noticed that after using LPP i was still able to use the TW widgets. Coming from Evo HTC sense, didnt do that.
really???
thats awesome i love the standard clock widget. Thats why im still using tw
I love this feature. This phone kicks ass all the way around

This is only true for some of the widgets. For example, the digital clock is available but not any of the other clocks. Also the (useless?) Agenda widget is available but not any of the other calendar related widgets.
I normally don't use stock widgets but I do like the Samsung calendar/today widgets and of course, not available under an alternative launcher.
i love sense apps and sense widgets and sense look... but i hate its performance... i love AOSP because of the performance... the question is: is there a way to implement sense apps, or widgets, or launcher into AOSP rom?
thank you!

There are apps such as Beautiful widgets, Launcher pro, adw laucher, go launcher, fancy widgets, and some skins and icons that can give you some aspect of sense. However this is not actual sense. You can't really take sense aspects out and add them to a AOSP rom because of the framework. If you wish to have a fast running sense, although a little lacking on the ooohhh ahhhh, I would go with Virtuous Sense. It's Sense, but it's not slow because HTC made it for our device and it's better than nothing.

Hi
I recently shifted to the ADW launcher because of the unsightly HTC sense dock at the bottom of the screen. But then I am unable to access HTC sense widgets, like the music widget for example. I am aware that I have the option of getting a Pure Music kinda app to solve this problem. But I just wanted to know if there is any way of moving around the HTC Music Widget apk file (or any other file for that matter) so that it is activated in ADW?
I have seen the same (similar) question across a lot of different forums and the answer has always been "NO". But hope springs eternal
Thanks
ucannot have sense widget's if u move onto another launcher

You can't add sense widgets in another launcher, but may i ask you why do you use adw launcher instead of nova launcher or spex launcher? Adw launcher is so old, is made for gingerbread and froyo. Nova and apex are made only for ICS.

I guess I just grew comfortable with ADW over the years. Thanks for the suggestion, I shall try out nova / spex.
The result with Nova and Spex will be the same. HTC widgets work with the supplied HTC launcher only.
yeah that's true. But I don't understand why they have to be so microsoftishly possessive that it limits the users customisation needs. The lockscreen for example, I personally find their renowned "ring" quite blingy and there seems to be no way to edit it. So if i install MIUI locker to customise the lockscreen I occassionally have to deal with two lockscreens - first the HTC ring and then whatever else I have set. C'est la vie!
You cannot add sense widgets to adw but do not worry, use apw widgets, these look very similar to sense widgets...
Well as close as you can get without being sued by HTC ofcourse...

Thanks sumairmh. I shall give it a shot.

Hey thanks again. I tried apw and it was quite nice. But I am specifically looking for a replacement for the Sense music widget. In any case i shall give the wizz a look over.
