Best Slimline Evo Battery - EVO 4G Accessories

I've checked several posts here, but no one seems to be talking about the best SLIM EVO battery. I don't want a bulky phone, I just want a high quality Lithium Polymer (or better?) battery that is better than the OEM.

A battery that fits with the regular cover..? Haven't seen many threads about it.. well you know except the 20 that I forgot about
A drop of Chuck Norris's semen was placed on Android OS. We now have CyanogenMod.

Yeah, just a battery that fits with the regular cover. I found one thread talking about aftermarkets but they were referring to some cheap-o batteries that were actually worse than the OEM.

I got some EBay "2000mah" batteries and they definately last longer than the OEM battery but it is getting old. Theyblast AT LEAST as long as my used OEM battery, and some other cheapo ones I got off eBay are terrible (half the life of stock while claiming 1500mah).
You get what you pay for though, I would just buy OEM HTC batteries if I were you.

this has been discussed in a ton of threads to death. it's mine and many others belief that there is no better battery that is the stock size then the actual stock battery. this has been verified with testing at batteryboss.org. now a bunch of people will chime in and say this such and such works better for me, and maybe it does because they want to believe it does. watch what happens when you give kids near beer and tell them its real, they will act drunk. i've seen this happen with my own eyes. if there was a longer lasting battery that could be made in the same form factor, htc would surely release it with the phone. if you really want more battery life your going to have to go bigger, and in that case i would recommend the yoobao over anything else thats out right now. trident is releasing a battery and case in the next 2 weeks that could be promising.. remains to be seen.

I know what you're talking about bro. Droid X has one of those. When I bought my extended battery, he of course shows off his droid x extended battery....

I see where your coming, i wish evo had one. Unfortunately i haven't seen one... Just big bulky ones.

Just get the bigger, extended battery. Not only do you get longer life, but the phone also becomes a blunt weapon. How can you logically turn that down?

Non that I have seen only one is that 2000 slim extended your talking about. There are also fake battery on eBay that someone put two 1500 mha batterys together kinda dangerous.

I bought this type (not same seller, but same battery and similar charger). It works fantastically with the HTC SBC kernal, I get a solid 20 hours out of it with 3g on all day, listening to music for 2 hours, playing games intermittently throughout the day, and doing a lot of web browsing. I paid $16 total, so this is a similar deal.

thats ridiculous
doesnt even look that bad
I'll buy one if it comes with the back cover hell yeah.
Considering their larger capacity "stock" size batteries are not what they are rated at, I think I'll stick to my HTC brand 2750 until someone actually gets one of these and measures it out.
Not worth the premium price if you're only getting, say...2800 mah compared to what they are advertising....
Considering since it says it has "double" the factory battery, I'd be someone tests this out a few hundred mah lower than advertised.

Anyone notice the picture says 1500mAh.
Nice.....
Why not just strap a car battery to it...Maybe we can go back to the days of bag phones, and backpack batteries...

OOhh then my phone might actually last until i go to sleep like most phones do.
Considering how the TB uses the battery cover as an extended antenna, I think I'm going to stick with the OEM extended battery and battery cover this time.

hahahha omg nice catch 1500.... haha
sooooo bulkyyyyyy........
I stopped using my extended battery. It's too damn bulky. I was actually surprised by how good the stock battery is.

I don't get it. The OEM batteries are so small and thin. I just keep an extra one in my second pocket at all times.
That looks so stupid but I might have to invest in one because the terrible battery life on this phone makes me insane. Im even tempted to go back to my droid.

No doubt it's just a placeholder, since they didn't have a real image at the time. Not that anyone really believes it'll be 3200 anyway...
How can their possibly still be people out there who believe Seidio's claims about their batteries?

This does look pretty amazing although you would want to be a wealthy enough man to purchase this at €199 it's not even on sale yet but i can see this doing well with people who spend a lot of time outdoors away from electricity like explorers, etc.
Something like this would be great at a festival or if you were just out and about for a period of time and your phone died and nowhere near electricity and you needed it charged up.
What do people think to this?
I think hydrogen is harder to find than sunlight.
Seeing as they Don't even say how it works under the section "how it works" and seeing as hydrogen or Cole fusion is not invented yet to a point of usefulness (and would not be invented just by some company just to power USB devices...).
I'm going to go with it a Battery on one side and a tank that holds water and dose nothing on the other side till proven other wise... Also wouldn't that vary easily become a Boom, a vary big boom?
I Call Shenanigans!
I don't know about the ins and outs folks i just seen this website and had a look and it does look like a superb invention.
Cool piece of tech, it's just a mini fuel cell but to be honest I think practically you're better off with a big battery. I have a usb one with a 5000 mAh capacity and it's smaller than my phone and it was only cheap. Gives me 4 whole charges of my phone and I'm never not near a wall socket for any longer.

looks a bit more affordable for sure, please report back and let us know how this is.
This is the one I got:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PortaPow-Premium-USB-Battery-Pack-5000mAh-Dual-Sockets-/220639367439
It's thicker than the SGS2, about the same width and a bit shorter. It's good, holds it charge well and does seem to hold up to the 5000 mAh spec quite well

Using tethering for my ipad 2 wifi and downloading bt using ttorrent regularly. stock battery can't last me a day. This one can last me full day with around 15% left.
Also got a galaxy nexus battery rated at 2050mAh
Can you comment on the 2050 MAh battery? Does it fit with the stock back cover? Doesn't really seem legit as the OEM extended requires a different back cover.
Might be worth the risk checking it out for $15...
You can use original cover with the 2050mAh battery from what i tried here

NFC is unavailable for all third party batteries as far as I'm aware
Unless the third-party in question chooses to equip their batteries with a suitable aerial.
As this is the first thread I'm aware of featuring this particular brand of battery, it's worth asking.
can u tell us if the 2050mah worths the stock battery or if its better?
Nice Find! Ordered, seems like our phone might finally function as a replacement for a handheld GPS (Garmin, Magellan etc...)
I would love to hear your thoughts on the 2050mAh battery. It seems like a lot of these aftermarket batteries don't do any better than the stock battery even with the higher charge capacity.

I am getting the 2050mAH batteries on Monday and will test it out.
Any updates?
bump for updates pls
it's running quite well. I'm getting around 20% power left on a full day of internet / chatting / a family guy and simpsons video / 30 mins tethering. This thing is a beast compare to the original battery!
such things are REALLY ugly. But I understand why we need it.
So the question is, why there can't be something as slim as Razr MAXX's 3300mah battery? ...
In the past I thought it is technological impossible to produce the slim extended battery like Maxx's, until I see how Razr Maxx works.
It is thicker than Original Razr, but it is so much better in design with giant battery.

Think it has something to do with the fact that it isn't removable, but I may be wrong.
Do they make these for the LTE variant? Seidio has a 3850 battery but it costs almost $70 and this is only $20!
The 2050mah i am getting around 1 and half hour more than usual compare to stock.

Longer usb cable that connects to your phone, it also has a USB port at the top of the battery Anker so you can use different usb to charge different phones
Looks nice is it heavy;
You can carry it with you when
You need a extra charge right;

half the weight of the wildfire S. Since its very slim you can carry it in your pocket or if you are a girl, then inside your purse. Well worth my $20 IMO
I gotta get one of those... my phone barely lasts a day.. D:
so am I right in thinking you use this to charge your phone up when it's out of juice....and if so, how many times can it charge up the wfs? I'm thinking it could be useful for weekends away or camping trips etc?
Yes camping it would be great! The power bank is 3200 mah so it can charge the wildfire s 2 times from dead, they make a 8000 mah as well

a case with a built in battery, like these. AFAIK, no one makes them for anything except iphones.
those are cool but that wouldn't happen on our phone or most android phones. Its easy and cheap to make cases for iphone because the design stays the same for the most part, designers have more time to create the case and for android phones the design is always changing and people are always getting new phones so a case like that would be great but there isn't enough money to be made by the maker, the wildfire s is popular but not that popular, I could see this battery case being made for the HTC one X

Testing the ANKER 2200maH Battery

Recently I was contacted by LapTopMate.com and asked if I wanted to test one of the new ANKER extended batteries for the GS3. As someone who has used them for quite a while in other phones I said yes.
It arrived today and now I am charging it. Will do comparison on ON SCREEN time with the Standard battery.
Thanks ANKER!!

I just saw this battery on Ebay. The price is about 25 US Dollar. I am very interested in your results!
yea. doe the 100 mha more make that much of a diff?
NFC? does that work?
I don't see any reference to NFC on the packaging. But for a spare battery, it really doesn't matter. (I've never used NFC anyway.)
I'm hoping I get about 30 more minutes of screen time out of it. Time shall tell.
Anker batteries for the Galaxy s3 doesnt have NFC, yet!
i get about 2 hours of extra battery life with this battery.
So far so good at 50%.
Nice.any good links to vendors for this battery,I would like nav but I'm not using it yet anyway.

For $9 you can't pass it up.

Yes it does.
No NFC though.
I got a little over 7 hours of on screen time at 1%. Failed to get a screen capture though.
Will run it through a second cycle to see how that one goes.
Bought 2 for 16$ on Ebay. Probably only need 1, but I may just sell the extra off on craigs or something.
They'll jack up the price once word gets spread out anyway.
I too was contacted by laptop mate and received a trial Anker 2300mAh battery for my Galaxy S III.
I already own two Hyperion batteries, and compared to those, my Anker battery is fantastic! While I would estimate that the Hyperion battery gets around 60-70% of what my stock battery gets, my Anker battery gets battery life on par (if not slightly better) than my stock battery.
However, I have a couple of gripes with it... One of the plastic "tabs" that separate each of the 4 battery terminals broke off on one end. This makes it so that I have to be sure to make the plastic tab straight so that I can charge the battery while it's in my phone. Otherwise, it switches very rapidly between "charging" and "battery disconnected" (though it remains powered on). I'm not too sure how that happened, but that may have been when I was putting it on/taking it off of my Hyperion battery charger. Another gripe is that it doesn't have NFC. Then again I haven't even found an opportunity for me to use NFC besides the Paypass CC terminals (and Google wallet doesn't work on Verizon, so that's bunk anyway.)
I would definitely recommend the Anker battery, especially if they add NFC in the future. It gets great battery life on par with the stock Samsung Battery at a much lower cost, and if you can take one or two minor manufacturing defects (that are easily fixed) on the battery terminals, then there's no reason not to pick one up in my mind.
