UPDATE for JVH! - 08/05/2011 Files are on >this< page
This is Touchwiz 4 for all stock 2.3.3 roms Enjoy!
Guys, main work was made by fguy from 4pda.ru forum, I just make some minor changes and modifications, pack files properly in zip files and post them here.
Install attached Zip file using recovery. Or unzip it and copy files using root explorer. After installation - wipe dalvic cache.
2 versions, first - stock one, second with modified smaller text, transparent labels under icons at the bottom (looks better)
Also versions with stock SGS2 icons!
Home screen number and screen count you can customize yourself.
PHP:
system\default.prop
ro.csc.homescreen.defaultscreen=3
ro.csc.homescreen.screencount=7

real touchwiz 4
since we got no sources for tw3 i doubt that anyone can alter it that much.
but unless you are tw fan, i don't see a reason why anyone would want to use it. lack of basic options like default home screen is just a no go for me.

I don't think a 3.9MB zip file is a ROM mate
4mb size is not a Rom
Edit: dang.mambo always fast!

I don't know how to convert it to be cwm3 compatible and my current version can't handle it xD
Does this works with cm7?

Does this Touchwiz 4 delet Touchwiz 3 when install it? do i have to flash a rom again to get Touchwiz 3 back, or it is just a Laucher, like louncher pro, adw launcher.... Thanks.
i can't install it either in recovery? are we supposed to copy and paste over the old touchwiz files in the sdcard directory?
Need cwm3 version

Looks awesome!! Exactly what I was looking for, but I don't understand how to 'apply using CWM'..
Do I need to replace the original files with your files using root explorer for example?
Well done buddy, looks so clean.

CWM is a custom recovery image that you can use to 'Flash' roms/themes/mods etc. Check out the dev section for a howto and more info. Awesome theme btw, it's got the stock look but with a much more refined feel, great work
Forgive me for this, i did search but in my experience forum searches somehow miss out what im looking for, can I just install clockworkmod through rom manager or is it more complicated than that? Im on rooted stock ke7 so I understand I'd need a deodexed rom such as lightening rom before I did this, although I don't know what deodexed means lol
Awesome! I love the whole look and feel of it. Amazing, keep on the good work and for all your Launcher Pro / ADW users, you really have to try this Go Launcher EX. It has the same customisation. However the screen transistions are a lot smoother!
Just what ive been waiting for, lol this will be the reason i actually bother to flash a custom rom.

Clockwork is installed via Chainfires kernel for KE7 or KE2 roms, flash this for clockwork mod but if you want to use this theme first flash Villainrom and deodexed just means the rom can be themed really.
Hi together, I'm new on this forum and I have a question about this theme. Do I need to root my phone or not. If yes, then where can I find some theme without rooting my phone, because I dont want to lose my warranty! And sry for my bad english!
Changelog 01-06-2011:
- Shadow added on my icons inside my go launcher theme, see screenshots!
Didn't work for me on Lightening 1.1, everything force close and the phone wouldn't respond. All is well though as I have just flashed VillainRom and flashed this theme as well, this theme is exactly my style. Not all flashy and glowy. Its perfect! Thanks.

Use this kernel and it should work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
But I dont get it.. Installed Villain 1.1 and still no luck.
The lockscreen is all messed up. I have the pattern lock and the dots are not within the circels but outside. Also Im not getting the awesome lockscreen you have.
I do and did have widgetlocker installed, but even if i disable or delete it Im not getting the lockscreen.
After flashing the zip i still have the touchwiz interface. Only thing that changed is messing up my pattern lock and changing the battery icon etc.
Also the messages are still rounded and not sqare as shown.
Or should I install your modified Go Launcher to get the phone like shown on the pictures in first post?
Could you please make a step by step how-to?
Changelog 02-06-2011:
- Some icons updated
Great Job. Can you please change network, Data and Wifi notifications to blue color like battery color (so all notifications will be consistent).
Thanks again.

You have to install via CWM and VillainROM 1.1 rom installed.
I decided to create this converter zip that deletes most non essential apks from the system partition, this is like my old Remove Sense zip that I did a while back on the EVO. This will work on any GB & ICS ROM

Don't want to flash FB27 kernel.
Will wait till we get repack for FC06.
But it's a good list. Now we won't breack anything trying to figure out what apps can be removed safely.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you! I will be flashing this soon as well.
If I flash the FB27 kernel so I can get CWM, can I then flash your format all, flash FC06 ROM, flash modem FC05, and this Bare ROM Converter all in one session?
Oh very nice! Although, I guess this is an all or none deal eh? In other words, if I want the digital clock for example, I'd have to push it back after flashing. Still a big time saver though. Thanks for doing this Calk.
Edit - Oh nevermind. You can just pull out the updater script, modify it and put it back. Sweet!
Great.. Thanks man..

This is useful, thanks.
Since there are still many more applications that can be removed (depending on the users preferences), can you share any insight on how to determine the impact of removing an application? I mean, trial and error obviously, but are there specific errors to watch for in logcat? Or anything along those lines? My goal would be to remove as much as possible from the ICS builds, but still maintaining essential functionality.
Mr Calk, every day you come up with some so simple and yet so useful lol. Much appreciated! thanks
Calk, would this make a stock room just as bare as your barebones roms? Or more? Or less? Thanks.

Hi everyone
I ported two little mods to the latest JB 4.2. They have been tested on the stock odexed ROM but they could work on a deodexed one ^_^
- GB Theme Remover removes the Gingerbread "theme" from all the old apps and displays them with the Holo (4.0+) one. The mod was originally ported by lippol94 to 4.1. Just flash the zip.
- Facebook Sync makes you sync your FB contacts with the built-in People app.
How to:
- Delete the FB account
- Flash the zip
- Go to Settings, Applications, Contacts Storage and delete its data (make sure you have synced your contacts before doing this...)
- Open the Facebook app and as soon as you enter your login, it should ask you to sync.
Hope they are useful ^_^
Not sure what I done wrong when I tried using this on mmuzys 4.2 gave me a boot loop. Had to reflash OS rom.
Would love to try this mod though.

Since the GB remover mod replaces the framework-res.apk in the system

There are no images. Changes are made to XML files.
Well do you know which XML files?
Because those can be replaced with zip themer as well
Its replacing Styles.xml which cannot be zipthemer'd. Framework has to manually be decompiled and modded.
Don't do this if you don't know anything about it.
I did this on my galaxy nexus with xenonhd running on it and it didn't end well. After I rebooted it diden't sync anything anymore now I have to completely reflash everything again

As I said it's just for 4.2 ROMs... and probably as I learned these days, only for the stock ROM because Android checks for the signature of framework-res and a lot of apks in /system/app. They must match or the OS won't even boot. These mods keep Google's signature so the only ROMs which work are Google-signed ones.
I got a boot loop on aosp r5.

Oh, yeah, no, that's not a flashable ZIP. It won't harm anything if you do, it will just fail right away. You would need root privileges and move them into /system/priv-app and change permissions to rw-r--r--. I suppose I could make a flash able zip, if it actually works on other devices.

@nvan7891
Here u go, deodexed ones from P905:
http://www50.zippyshare.com/v/894248/file.html
There is NO SecLauncher.apk at all - "Touchwiz" launcher app was renamed to MagazineLauncher.apk (included).
I have deodexed whole rom for my own purposes, however, dont have a bandwidth to upload them all. If you want some certain apks feel free to ask.
Thanks for posting the launcher. It runs smoother than the stock n10.1 2014 launcher.
Is there another apk in the system files that has the actual magazine ux panels? Cause the launcher posted lacks the magazine ux stuff. Thanks!
Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
I can't find it from the names themselves (+ I have deleted touchwiz and a lot of bloatware at all! using custom launcher... I have deodexed apks but hard to try them out...)
But... aren't the magazine panels related to Flipboard app in any way? Hmmm? As someone noticed, it's the same engine.... And the Flipboard app provided along with N12.2 seem to be regular - ie. not modified in any way - Fliboard app which you can find @gplay. I may be wrong of course...

I'd really hope you'd be able to find the browser without having to d/l that huge file if you really don't want anything else other than that... but if you decide to go that route, just flash in recovery and follow the Aroma script. It's towards the end. Who knows, you might flip past something that catches your eye while scrolling through the pages.

I don't know what dependencies the stock browser needs, but the apk for the browser is simply SBrowser.apk. If that works, then you have the stock browser. If it doesn't, then you are missing other files that are required.
The file I referenced has these files also for just the browser:
/framework/webviewchromium.jar
/lib/libsbrowser.so
/lib/libsbrowser_ext.so
/lib/libswev8.so
Just find those files in the HyperDrive ROM, copy them to /system/app for SBrowser.apk, /system/framework for webviewchromium.jar, and /system/lib for the .so files. Once copied, open each one's properties individually in whatever file browser you used to copy the files and change the permissions to 644 and reboot.

Once copied, open each one's properties individually in whatever file browser you used to copy the files and change the permissions to 644 and reboot.

Not unless you can find a flashable zip. And as far as I know, the only flashable zip that has any Samsung browser for 4.4.2 is the one I mentioned... But it also has like 100+ other mods you can choose not to install. It would be much less time consuming to just rip the files from another ROM that had them already; but wait time aside, selecting that one option in that mods pack is the easiest lol. Puts all the right files in the right spots and sets all the right permissions.

Right. It's just a collection of modifications like themed signal bars, battery icon modifications, S5 apps, boot animations, kernels, things of that sort. You just scroll through the pages, select what you want and install... There is an option for "nothing" on each page, then install. As far as a link, i'm on bed now and don't really know how to grab it from the app, just look in the themes and apps section. It's one of the only active threads there, so it's at the top "The Sickness Modz V5"
