Rooting question on evo with build 3.7 - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What method of rooting can I use to root my EVO? I tried the quick method and it did not work.

Dude Unrevoked is one click on the computer, if you can't use that, you shouldnt be messing with your phone

I'm pretty sure ANY s-on tool will work if you flash it through recovery

I just recently returned a broken Evo with S-OFF. They replaced it without any questions. I don't think they actually check.

Are the drivers I download for the hboot downgrade the same as the ones for the s off thank you in advance

Go for it, the rooting process is not difficult at all as long as you follow the instructins to a T

Hey, I just got my galaxy s3 today. I've been searching for a good rooting method but have come across several. My question is what rooting method is safe? I plan to flash stable cm10 after I root.

Chain fire worked for me... no kernel programming, just the root binary is installed.... simple and easy to do via Odin
