Persian / Arabic for LeeDroid v2.3b

Hello everybody
i am looking for someone to configure the persian/arabic patch for LeeDroid v2.3b rom. it did work with version 2.2f without any problems. http://rapidshare.com/files/426732840/Farsi_Froyo_Desire_by_Persianblue.zip

I had that problem too.
I always used leedroid until 2.3b.
I tried all the existing patches but the phone didn't boot after that.
so now I'm on cyanogen's 6.1.1 and the ardroid patch on it.
It's good and much faster with lots of options but sometimes I miss SENSE.
and I'm waiting for gingerbread to be ported from updated nexus one to the desire.

lee said that the libs must be configurated or something like that so... i hope that farsitel will be available for desire soon that would be amazing for farsitel i would even accept not having sense...

d lastest lee rom is good in battery management and i love it but since der is no persian/arabic patch for it, cant do lots of my daily tasks!
agree with w8ing for gingerbread...

so does gingerbread support farsi by itself or do we need a patch for that too? i mean it can t be so difficult for google to support farsi....

foroyo supports persian font but d letters are seprated, right?! but in lots of java apps i could see currect persian with d system font, means dat it is too near i think! we could be hopeful
however i have seen an arabic patch for gingerbread yesterday!

thats the point. google has added arabic font but the letters are separated so i hoped they solved that problem in gingerbread...an very good alternative is farsitel http://farsitel.com/en/ which unfortunately still is only available on nexus one

does anyone know who is persianblue? i guess he could solve our problem. i think framework in last desire roms has changed so this has to be configured cause i had the same problem with other roms too which are based on latest desire rom

an about farsitel, in my mind dey jus wanna sell deir products, so der is no reason to release a patch for neither nexus nor desire!, right?!

ofcourse they want to do that but maybe someone can port the rom to desire?! but i am sure it will take long time...

i just installed AdamG Oxygen 2.0 RC1 (Gingerbread).
There is still no support for Persian,Arabic and Ordu .
However i see the Location support :

Which files did you modified/copied in ROM in order to read and write in farsi?
maybe i can copy them to Oxygen rom.

me 2, I flashed gingerbread today! new features but didnt like it. returned to lee2.3b (Im a big fan of Sence!!!) . and about farsi/arabic, y no changes its jus like froyo...

you have to flash the zip file from recovery then you can read farsi but it depends on your rom. if your rom is based on the latest original htc rom then you have to wait like me...

yeah leedroid 2.3b is very nice rom and when we get full farsi support it will be great

by the way which navigation app do you use for navigation in iran? unfortunately navitel does not work on desire

Im using "Maverick" which works really greate for me!
I have downloaded de maps by a soft from google maps by my self in 7zooms of my city.
de maps are really compelete and update!
u could download de light version (works fine) from de market and download instructions for ur city could be found on mobilestan.
Note: Maverick supports nokia maps too!

mmmm I don know de soft support voice navigation by it self or no (an it seems dat it doznt have!) but I love it, its quick and clean!

This is a build I have compiled from the official CyanogenMod source files and adapted for Kaiser/Vogue. Feel free to give it a go at your own risk!
Well, it still isn't quite as snappy as Froyo and the camera still doesn't work properly but it's probably about as fast as Gingerbread will get on our devices. I'm bound to have messed a few things up but i'll continue to work on it when I get time
All the usual things are working as far as i know, GPS works fine for me but the camera is as always not fully functional.
All of this is thanks to the guys working on the CyanogenMod roms and of course, none of this would work without all the hard work on the kernel so big thanks to dzo, vilord, l1q1d etc...

I can't really be bothered to list all of the changes, there are quite a few but I just compile the thing, the changes are in the CyanogenMod repository. I have included the updated RIL and all of the Google Apps are up to date. The camera is still ****e but that's a driver issue. This release hasn't been heavily tested as I don't use my Kaiser as a main phone anymore So i'm sure you will find issues in which case we can sort them out as and when. Enjoy!

This is an alpha and still needs a fair bit of work to get it running to it's full potential but you can get an idea of what it will be like. Hmm for some reason I cannot boot to android the phone has been stuck in boot loop for the last 15 minutes. I have an app.img file with about 80 applications so this might be a problem I'll try to boot it without the app.img. Both data and system on sd card imgs + latest '25 kernel.

Ok I have removed the apps.img and it still doesn't boot.
I have noticed that there have only been modules for '32 kernel included in the build. Should it work with '25 kernel with proper modules added?

I'll wait for All Languages version to test it with the new kernel.

1. this was my first attempt to instal android on nand.. noob here ;P
downloaded kernel VOGUIMG-320-FROYO-01-16-11.NBH, then changed with editor to kaiser and painel 2. Install occured ok.... but phone isn't working.. "no service".
2. I do i see my batery status? can only see that bar on the top but don't no accurate bat status in %.
3. after this install can i install another another version overwrithing this one? for example now the phone isn't working so i want to change to another version of android can i simply put another "androidinstal.tar" in andboot folder and install?

YES! you can
To view Battery percentage, you need to set that in Cyanogenmod Settings (correct me if I'm wrong here since its been ages when I used CM build)

Yes, you can do that it's actually very simple. Just remember to edit your .nbh before every install if you are changing versions (donut, froyo, eclair).

Try a .32 kernel, also i have only tested it on NAND so it may be an issue with Haret. To be honest we're lucky it works with the .32 kernel so i expect problems with the .25 kernel. Sorry

Yes I have noticed that there have only been '32 modules included in the build.
I think I'm going to skip the '32 kernel as It was acting up on me in the past. I'll try nand install in the evening hopefully it will work. Thanks Scooter.

I recommend using the latest .32 kernel you can find, either one that L1q1d has compiled or one from Clemsyn's thread You can find the latest kernel here: http://androidhtc.git.sourceforge.n...7c0bf5edc4f5c6d64ce4df29254e8332ce26b;hb=HEAD

Well have installed 6.1 and phone now works... =)
Will wait until a new version of this one to come out and then try again...

- Thanks for advice slimas, to edit .nbh do i need to reinstall kernel? and can i reinstall without mess up with previous android install or do i need to install again android?
- Some bugs that occurred to me .. sometimes bar on the bottom disappear can't access apps... ; some freezing sometimes, do you guys recommend to overlock? if so how to do it? Weather widget can't find info too lol not a serious prob...
I'm reading forum and these are some questions i couldn't find answer, for now i think that's all.. i'm enjoying android on kaiser think this is the time i will change forever...

The bar at the bottom of the scrren can disappear if you swipe down on the screen, it is a bit random but is a flaw in ADW launcher. To get it back you need to press the 'menu' button and go to 'settings' then go to 'ADW Settings, UI Settings and untick 'Dockbar'. Re-select 'Dockbar' and exit settings and it should be back I expect some freezing, it is still under heavy development and our devices are quite limited hardware wise so there won't be any miracles yet I overclock my Kaiser to 500Hz using ATools, a lot of people don't recommend it but it is what i have always done and i have never had any problems, it speeds the phone up a fair amount. Just tick the option when editing your NBH. The phone obviously needs to be connected to data or wifi for weather widget to get location information, i just tried it with wifi and it worked ok, there may be an issue with data though, i'll look into it Thanks for testing.

Even with LV kernel? LV kernel makes taking photos impossible. Camcorder works, but not camera.
I didn't flash the rom, just saying that you should add that to the main post. It's not a problem with your rom, but with the kernel itself.

Probably the LV version used is the official one, which max supported mega-pixel format is 3mp for higher than 2.1 sense roms.
This one is quite stable. When going to larger photo mp's, 5, it might cause hangs.
The newer unofficial one supports 5mp even for newer sense roms.

Heya... I do have the unofficial version. Made sure I commented on the bugs I experienced on your thread.
Truthfully is that atm I managed to take a 5MP picture. It still doesn't work at all times.

I checked and the resolution is set on 3.2 max in the camera so that's working fine

It seems that I also have some call issues sometimes xd. I think I need someone who's more experienced then me who can help me out with kernel support...
Anyone?

Here is a new "old" ROM. Kimera 3.0. Based of Kimera 2.1 but then better

Changes comparing to 2.1
-EGL update
-Market update
-Build.prop changes to speed up the ROM (idea's from VE6 and Ele 2.1 Reloaded)
-Some outdated apps removed. (download the current ones from the market)
-Removed updater
-Changed the notifiaction pull down a little bit. To make it more awesome (Thanks rdejager and Elelinux for those files )
Since this is sense (And closed...) there isnt much else that could have been done.
Well I tried my best but I am just starting to get into android stuffz, I tried to intergrate FlyKernel 13 made by Erasmux. But yep. I failed. Sooo you all need to do more stuffz before you can run this thing at the best speed around. (For sense)
Stuffz that needs to be said. I am not responsable from broken phones. Broken computers and all that stuff. just follow the install instructions and youll be fine.
Install instructions
1a. Download the ROM (duh)
1b. Download FlyKernel 13 (Again Erasmux awesome work!!)
1c. Download the Lightscript if you like a clean lite ROM. Description and download a little more down.
2. Place the ROM zip file and the Kernel zip file on you SD-Card.
2a. You can rename the Flykernel zip file to include clockspeeds. Do that if you do not want to use SetCPU or something like that (My fav speeds min:176, max:652.)
3. Install the ROM zip file (And get a drink)
4. DO NOT REBOOT, install Flykernel 13 for optimal performance
4a. Install the lightscript if you want to.
5. Reboot and take another drink.
6. Get trough the setup wizard and reboot the phone when you are done with the wizard.
7. Enjoy the ROM.
Keep in mind this is Sense. Sense is more heavy then AOSP. So expect a little slower ROM then AOSP (VE6)
This ROM is Odexed. (still don't know what it is exactly..) But what I do know. Cuss of this the ROM is faster. But 1 downside. I was planning to include a reboot menu. Well to bad that is not possible (yet). Same as the power-controll widget in the notification (NOT POSSIBLE EITHER!!) So please do not ask for those features.
Bugs
-First bootup will have a full green bootscreen. This is normal and it will not happen after that boot.
-If lightscript is used you may get a GAPPS FC. Everything still works fine and this is only once.
-About Friendstream

Nah I just want it to be fully documented else I will get. Do I need to flash the lightscript before I install the ROM, or after? And when do I need to flash the Kernel????
And this is all mostly cuss I did not manage to get FlyKernel into the rom... Yes I know I faill.

This rom is Odexed. Mostly what that brings for the end user is a faster ROM. In feeling. For me that is 100% true. And I had Jager on the phone a few min ago and he was like.
Jheez deze rom is echt verrotte snel... (easy translation) Jheez this rom is really broken fast. (Dutch, weird language)
So yea the feel of the rom more really. It is the ROM that HTC made without extra's but all the goodies like the tweaks and the new apps.
E: Really I release a ROM and then SuperUser has the idea to update... so yea I will upload it to multi as well again cuss I made a small change in superuser.

Hey, congrats on your first ROM. If you want help adding a kernel to it then don't hesitate to ask. I've wrote a pretty good guide (if I do say so myself), that covers ROM porting and so on but includes that info.

Hi girl, thx again for quick mirror, Kimera 1.8 was one of my fav. roms but no longer updating. I‘d like to try ur rom through mirror but failed again, cant open the page...

Nice ROM.. just realised, no Apps to SD though..

It fast and seem stable. I'll use it for tomorrow and share comment.

that's odd. there's apps2sd in kimera 2.1 which is what she based this upon.
I'm running kimera 2.1 and it has a2sd just fine.

Well I myself do not use A2SD cuss it slows down my phone like crazy... sooo Well I can not confirm it.

ROM update from me. Well I have been running this just fine. Tomorow I am gonna be with Jager all day. And his house is like techno heaven, and his car :O A Citroen Saxo with the most advanced radio system I know XD so then I can test GPS, BT, and all the other fancy stuffs..

Well it is still smooth and works fine so I am more then happy with it. and i am gonna stick with it for now. I need a rom that does not reboot on GPS usage and this one does not do that for me so, yea i am gonna go with this one for some time from now on.
ehm well i got nothing else really. and no my house is not that advance, i just use remotes to turn the light on and off, and same for the sound systems and some other stuff. and car XD got a sony car thingy and 4 new speakers.

Sweet. Thanks Lirasina and dkelley for reviving kimera. It really is still my favorite rom on the hero (yes i cant live without fully functioning sense). It was always super fast and responsive. Wakes up instantly when a button is pressed (some other roms do that too, but few). I feel that kimera2.1 is still faster/responsiver? than ele 2.1 reloaded, which i am using now but the keyboard lag is really starting to bother me. Will wait a little longer for bug fixes then will flash this sexy rom

[ROM][AOSP 2.3.7] OMFGB compiled and ported

Hy all,
inspired by this thread I spend some spare time in compiling OMFGB sources for use with the hero gsm.
Because of the fact, that I did not manage to successfully compile the OMFGB sources directly for the hero gsm (compiling was OK but could not get rom to boot) I did it the other way.
I compiled the sources for the hero cdma (heroc) and afterwards ported it to hero gsm.
I integrated Erasmux fly-kernel 13 since I used it with all other hero roms before.
After testing the rom for ~1 week (also my son is quite satisfied with it) I decided to share it.
I took out some apps that were not usable (for example God Mode) and put in minimal gapps so that it's possible to sign in on google account and run market.
Also I replaced the LatinIME.apk with the CMs one to get other keyboard layouts than querty.
I'd recommend to install morelocale2 to be able to dial 123456 instead of 123-456.
What I have to say is that I'm by far no developer (at least not on android platform).

God mode seems not to be compatible with hero, all menu entries were grayed out, so I decided to delete it from package.
Maybe someone has a clue how to get it run

Can you upload it to some other site? I can't seem to download from 2shared.

I ported and tested the rom step by step.
Since all keys work as they should, I skipped this step.

I gave it a go. Not bad, for some reason I had extremely good wifi reception using this ROM, so that's good. Really missed some kind of advanced settings 'cause I use a lot of options from there and that was a dealbreaker . Also a2ext didn't work, so I had to flash darktremor script which caused i few random reboots. All in all, a solid ROM which could be much improved.

For the advanced settings, I could not get the God_Mode fully working so far.
For a2ext, I don't use it since I don't need it.
My son, which has a hero too, uses a lot of games.
For him I did custom mtd layout, much faster than a2ext cause it's kept all internal.

Please add the Russian.
