Yes it is a NON-Wipe edition, so it is OK to install it over JVO / JVK / JVB / JVA

All tests have been done and it's really stable now.

Will do a final test of flashing and wipe / non wipe

Exactly no strange themes or whatever.
But other battery icons will come after i have added the sip for 3G. (it's the same framework)

Call recording is not stable yet on GB.
When it's stable i will include it. Not before.

been running it for ~ 3 hours, I'd just like to mention that when I receive a call and take the phone out of my pocket, the screen is landscape, eventhough I disabled autorotation

No idea whats it called, but it displays the percentage in numbers to the left and a vertical bar (that changes color as % goes down) next to it to the right.
JVB is a quite stable rom by itself but i haven't found a good custom rom yet that doesnt do some weird stuff. some more, others less.
I noticed all launchers except the default one seem to break the unread email count on the mail app icon...no idea why. 5 unlock screens, overflow glow and crt effect look cool but i wouldnt add them unless 100% stable.
Also removing samsung default bloatware would be good but not if it breaks/handicaps other stuff....thats why i love the kitchen roms
Wish i had the time to learn cooking and do it my own way but for now i enjoy others' amazing efforts and try to give feedback as often as i can.

Extended power menu, tried it 5 or 6 times and just got bootloops, so I'm waiting to see if someone else can crack it.
As for transparent statusbar, will look into it
And maybe AOSP Lockscreen?
Change Notification clock to clear white?
Stock Gingerbread battery icon?

I think the rom theme shoul be left snoob.. almost like sdk with % mod on battery, the 2 color wifi/signal for connected/not connected to google, and the rest is good..

I've seen on coredroid for desire hd, the orange bumper when scrolling up and down and that is official sense firmware. I believe it would be possible to add it for galaxy s Ginger roms. That would be huge add.

Kernel for installing can be any at all. And as for kernel with the rom, any other kernel will force bootloops, only one gingerbread kernel at the moment.

Since this CWM update does not update the Bootloaders, the boot sequence has graphics glitches. But allright after that. Just to scare one off

Been using for awhile now did a calibration on battery, wifi connected fast rom is fast and stable. overclocked to 1200 and set ext 4. i like to slim part so i can add what i like. tried stock roms but to much on them. thank you.

Prerequites:
- Make sure your 3 button combination works
- Flash with full battery, or atleast not under 75%
- For your own safety, always disable lagfix
- Back-up all your apps, messages,etc,just for security. However the ROM will be distributed in WIPE and NO-WIPE format.
STEP 1 :
Download and extract : I9000XXJVR (Password: samfirmware.com)
STEP 2 :
- Open Odin v1.82
- Tick Re-Partition on and load the following files in Odin
PIT = s1_odin_20100512.pit
PDA = CODE xxxxxx.tar
PHONE = MODEM xxxxxx.tar
CSC = CSC.tar
Shut-down your phone and reboot in download mode (VOL DOWN + HOME + POWER)
Connect your phone and wait for Odin to say 'Added!!' then click on START
This will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes
After your phone booted, close Odin.
STEP 3:
-Let your phone start up this may take a while
-Congratulations you are now on Android 2.3.4 XXJVR
STEP 4:
Download this kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/?c4tzd5eoe39z27n
Start up odin again
PDA = Semaphore_kernel_XXJVQ_1.6.0.tar
Connect your phone when it is in download mode and click on start
Now let your phone boot fully again
STEP 5: (Last step)
1. Download the latest (V7.2.1) and put it on your SD-card
2. Boot in recovery
3. Choose for "install zip from SD" then "choose zip from sd"
5. Apply the GingerReal-X.X-XXXX.zip
6. Wait till it is done and reboot your device after that
7. Wait till it is fully booted
Congratulations,you are now on the latest GingerReal!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you're still on 7.2,you can flash the 7.2.1 NOWIPE,that will fix all the bugs and won't delete all your data. Otherwise,you have to flash the WIPE one.

Yea i have the same... when i try to open the Power Menu.. the Launcher hang off and i got a soft-reboot

Flashed your Rom as per instructions. Took 12 mins to boot. Nothing working properly..............only FCs. Neither I can dial a number nor I can open sub menus in settings. Totally a unprofessional Rom. We dont expect these silly mistakes from professional people.
I think I would revert back to my ever strong MIUI.

This ROM is intended for daily life usage. Therefore I will try to keep it blazing fast and rock solid. I will include all the latest modifications, improvements and updates that I find necessary.

Installation instructions:
1. Make sure that you are based on a gingerbread rom
2. Make sure that it is not CyanogenMod based rom (like MIUI, CM7 etc..)
3. Boot into recovery
4. I recommend doing a nandroid backup
5. Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache
6. Flash NixxozROM***.zip
7. Wait for it to finish, and then reboot
8. Enjoy!

wi-fi not working with galaxianEE switched to semaphore works fine,will try with new galaxian tomorrow should work when updated aswell nice clean rom

Thanks for the nice feedback im aware of the wifi-problem and a big update is coming today or tomorrow...
Nice rom, it has all the needed features and adds no rubbish. Only two things I don't like (personal opinion):
- Percent battery on status bar: there are better versions around, and more beautiful than the one you choose, IMHO.
- Distance between icons in launcher: why not aligning them to the icons in the app drawer, as in stock roms? The distance between them is too small and the text nearly overlaps.
very nice rom really like the small size that i can install what i want on it. i like the battery % but that is my opinion. ram is great and i also installed other kernel to get wifi working.

The batterylife is improved pretty much over stock, because the phone handles the RAM a lot better and a lot of improvements have been done through the kernel.
An option is also to lower clock freq. while screen is off..

2) What is difference between BLN and LED?

4) Why is Touchwiz framework included?
Because I want to add you ability to use Samsung apps - pack of compatible apps will be included in future .. no ETA for this...
5) How much I can set the percentage of live_OC?
It recommanded max to 115%, because of overclocked GPU! Do on your own risk...

Thanks for this, works great. Just one thing though... since flashing this The screen resolution has been increased and the icons are smaller; overall it's fine but it's thrown the spacing out on the homescreen. Is that something to do with the TW framework? Thanks

Just installed the adventure pack. It optimised 56 applications after first boot but can only find 2 new apps.
Like the new boot animation and the battery icon.

Try it as it is and download the latest version of the kernel(i9000only) everything works great and the kernel is very good
