Flashed Myn's, decided to try something different so I Wiped the phone completely as per the instructions on the Rom. Flashed the Rom using latest Clockwork.
I have tried:
Updating the Radios (WiMax, 4g, 3g)
Flashing a different Rom (Same Results)
Using a different Clockwork mod version to flash both the Rom and Radio
Nan droiding back to Myn's, or stock, or any other rom has the same results
Waited 24 hours, to see if it was a problem with the sprint network
Updated Data Profile/PRL all using sense (All mods I used were sense 2 based)
The phone will boot into the Android OS, but after it loads it wont receive incoming calls unless I have an active call. (I'm talking to someone then I can receive calls)
Could this be hardware related? Any input or additional ideas are appreciated.
Solution:
##data#
MSLCode
Data Profile
Hit Menu, goto Restore
Phone will reboot and start working again.

I've been running the MIUI ROM on my EVO 4G for a few weeks. I flash roms all the time and after doing something I seemed to lose the ability to receive text messages. Figured out that Google Voice was the culprit as text messages started to roll in once I reinstalled it. Anyway, while I was troubleshooting the text thing, I booted into my backup Sense ROM and updated PRL, PRI, etc as I was desperate and couldn't figure it out.
Today was part 2 of my problem. I get the latest version of MIUI running 1.7.15 and everything is working fine except for GPS. I could not get GPS to turn on at all. I rebooted - nothing. I reflashed - nothing, I restored an older version of MIUI via nandroid - nothing.
Ready,... here's the fix - I restored my Sense ROM via nandroid backup and noticed that GPS wasn't working - to be expected as it wasn't working on anything I flashed or restored. Then for ****s I check to ensure that GPS was actually turned on and it wasn't so I enabled it and it started working in Sense ROM. Feeling hopeful, I reflash MIUI and now GPS works again. Someone figure that out!
i have tried following the instructions on another thread i found here about trying to fix a 3g issue with the incredible and new roms, but i have not been able to get my 3g back. currently i am running a stock ruu. my system info reads s follows...
Android ver
2.2
baseband ver
2.15.00.07.28
Kernel ver
2.6.32.15-gb7b01d1
htc-kernel @and18-2 #1
build number
3.21.605.1 CL231334 release-keys
software number
3.21.05.1
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.2
i have rooted again since i ruu'd and have more or less just lived with it while trying to figure it out on my own. it seems to be random sometimes i will be able to look stuff up other times not so much. i know it isn't my service area as i have a work blackberry on verizon and that is fine. does anyone think this could be a software issue or does this sound like hardware. i am really hoping it is software as i have had my incredible since launch and really don't want to get it replaced, lol. i appreciate any help you guys can give me.
could it be the radio i have flashed? i dont know a whole lot about them so i havnt done a whole lot of troubleshooting there. can i go backwards with radio flashing? i just want to be sure before i try that as to not brick.
Does your 3g disappear or drop down to 1x often? You say you tried another thread, could you link me to it so I know what you did OR could you explain what steps you have done to alleviate this?
The typical solution is to flash a stock rom then boot into the rom itself and leave it running for a minute or two, even make a call and check 3g to make sure it's working. Then restore your backup rom and enjoy life. I'll provide you a stock rom link with steps to follow in a few minutes.
found it. i followed this thread and reverted back to stock. still hasn't helped my 3g woes. could having the wrong radio cause these problems?

***Edit i generally don't even have the 3G symbol in my notification bar or if it is there like now it just wont connect sometimes. in settings it says mobile network is connected as well

Aight, the rom link in my instructions is this one from RMK40. His link has since gone down. It is the first leaked OTA from last May prior to the flood of gingersense roms.
1. Boot into recovery and perform a Nandroid
2. In recovery, do a Factory reset/Wipe Cache/Wipe Dalvik Cache
3. Flash this
4. Boot into the rom and make a test call. Also check your 3g connection and see if it works. You can run it for ten minutes or an hour if you want to see if the connection fails, although it shouldn't.
5. Reboot into recovery and do Nandroid restore
6. Enjoy.
Post back with your results.
Edit: Here is a reference thread from where I obtained my instructions. I believe you are in the same scenario.

I would flash the froyo ruu thru hboot and then reboot. Then go back to hboot and select factory data reset, or boot to the os and go to Menu Settings Sd & phone storage and select factory data reset. Let it do its thing and then reboot. Once it boots up do the ota programing and your 3g should be fixed. Then you can flash cwm recovery thru hboot, and the su binary thru recovery and you will be rooted and ready to flash roms again. I have had this happen several times when using sense 3/3.5 roms ported from sprint phones.
Also that radio is old, from froyo, but that shouldt be the issue. If a factory reset dosent fix it i guess it wouldnt hurt to try updating to the newest radio. Im 95% positive factory reseting the phone from hboot or the settingd menu will fix your 3g. You have to have the stock recovery for the reset to work, that is why you need to ruu again, unless you are already on the stock recovery.
thanks i think this is working i just got done with programming and now i have 3g! gonna stress test it till later tonight i think and then it is off to flashing a new rom! any rom either of you suggest that shouldn't give me these 3g issues?
again thanks so much for your help

It usually happens to me on roms ported from sprint phones, mostly after doing a *228. I would highly advise not to do a *228 on a sprint rom. If you want to be extra cautious i wold just stay away from sprint ported roms all together.
I've searched, so please forgive me if there's something similar. I've found nothing that solves my issue. I have freshly installed cm9 a couple days ago, and then shortly after upgraded to 10. That is where my woes began. Friends and fam started telling me that my phone would ring onced and straight to vm. I get texts in huge batches, a lot of repeats, and very unreliably. I've installed a few other different roms and kernels to no avail. And yes I've wiped everything, every time. My 3g/4g/wifi are fine.. just texts and calls messed up. What's happeninggg =[[[[. Is my radio corrupted or something? How can I fix this?
First: This is a support question and should have been posted in the Q/A forum.
Second: You should probably not install the RC of CM9, since CM9 is now stable and has an official release. http://get.cm/?device=epicmtd&type=stable
Third: Before flashing CM, use Odin to go back to stock and test out SMS, MMS and calls. If all works well, then you can Odin flash CWM, pull the battery, 3-finger boot to CWM and then flash CM9 stable.
If testing SMS, MMS and calls do not work properly on stock, then you need to go to a Sprint store and get them to fix it. Just leave it on the stock rom to bring it in.

Hi everyone, this is somewhat complicated and il try my best to describe what happened.
My device is a i747m (rogers).
I was running CM10.1 (running gapps-jb-20130812 and CWM recovery 6.0.4.3) for a long time, tried to update to 10.2.
(i messed up on 2 things.I don't think i cleared neither of the cache or data and also didn't have proper gapps which would be 20130813).
After installing 10.2 through recovery, it would just stay in the boot Cynogen booting logo.
i restarted into recovery, since my old CM10.1 zip was still there, i installed that instead, but same thing happened, it would just stay at booting logo.
I had made a nandroid back up from before all of this, and so i wiped data, dalvik cache, cache, formatted system, and i recovered into that, which was a stock 4.1.2 rooted (rogers).
However, nothing worked, only WiFi. I couldn't make any phone calls, send/receive messages, or get data.
I then used ODIN 3.07 to flash the new stock 4.3 rooted (rogers). WiFi worked as before, but i still couldn't make any phone calls, send/receive messages, or get data.
i then re-installed the latest recover 6.0.4.5, and installed paranoid android 4.4.2 and gapps for this version. But still nothing, so i went back to the stock 4.3 rooted.
4 months ago, when i made the nandroid back up, i also made an IMEI back up as well (i did not do a full imei/NV/EFS/IMSI/data backup) , i only had my IMEI backup, so i wrote using "NV items reader writer" the IMEI back onto my phone, and now i can recieve/send messages, and get phone calls and make phone calls. wifi also works.
But my data is stuck in Edge, its extremely slow, takes 10min to download a 15mb file.
so far:
-The APN settings are correct
-my IMEI number in settings menu, matches the one on the back of my phone.
-network mode is GSM/HSPA/LTE
-i have installed the latest modem for i747m through CWM recovery and also tried slightly older versions.
i am pretty much lost and i dont know what i should do.
-rogers has told me to use kies and perform backup and then recovery, apparently that will factory reset my phone.
-should i simply use kies to install the latest 4.3?
-does anyone have the imei/NV/EFS/IMSI/data files? or the full NV file?
-should i install CWM recovery and wipe everything that i can? and re-install stock rooted 4.3?
-should i use QPST to fix my IMEI? <-- dont know anything about this, noticed a few threads.
i have used these threads in all my rooting and so forth.

thank you for reading this long and complicated problem.
same problem, ive spent every minute working on it for a week
Hi, I have i problem with my mobile connection.
I have been using liquidsmooth v3 for a couple months without any problem. It started when i started trying 2 stockbased roms : romaur and kitslim. I wasn't able to get mobile data working even if i tried to configure it... download mms settings, choose provider... So i decided to get back to cm, aokp... I tried lots of them : carbo, pacman, aokp, aicp... new problem. at that point mobile network worked, but i was always loosing all network connection (not just data) about 30sec each couple minutes... then i decided to restore my liquidsmooth backup. It helped a little bit, but i am still loosing connection from time to time : about 30sec each 30 min...
Right now, i just reinstalled aicp 4.4.4 r2 5.0 and moshkernel as a last attemp, but it is still not working properly.
I know all this is not very clear, but i need help!!
In the process, i installed and flashed many roms, kernels and recovery...
my question actually is what could affect my mobile connection in all that? in time i installed a new rom, i wiped data and factory reset the phone.
i remember on my samsung there were modem you could flash...?
hope someone understands my problem et asks for more info..
thanks
Flashing a load of modded ROMS wont make trying to find out any easier so you need to flash a stock ftf and do a full wipe of your Phone, I'd even wipe your SD and start from scratch.
