Best kernel for midnight 5.2 no journal? - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The title asks it all. Anybody have good or bad luck with a particular kernel? Looking for stability, speed and battery life, not particularly in that order.
TIA

I love the new vision kernel overclocked to 1.45. Just be careful some phones can't handle that much oc. I've seen good reports with genocide kernel as well

What is the Best kernal for battery life with Undervolting Frequency Schedular SetCPU

Hey devs and users alike I was wondering what would be the best kernal to use to get great battery life, im fine with 12hrs+ although id prefer 18+ im using ava-froyov7 with netachys kernal. Any recommendations im willing to switch ROMS except for Cm6 since it is a SENSELESS ROM. Or any kernals that already have a low frequency governor Please post any recommendations.

[Q] Opinions: best sense rom/kernels for battery?

hey guys im sure you get these a lot.
anyway, Ive been running CM6 for awhile now but found out my hometown has 4G coverage now and where i go to school will get 4G in about a month, so I have to make the switch to sense for obvious reasons. Im not huge on performance because frankly i'm not looking to blow minds with benchmarks on quadrant, the phone is fast as **** no matter what so im looking for the best battery life. a must for me is that they keep the theme relatively stock as well, some people arent graphically inclined no offense...
also looking for a good stable kernel with good battery life.
currently running burnt droid with baked kernel #6. heard fresh was good on battery but i think his site, geekfor.me, is down, can someone confirm this?
thanks a lot for your opinions
I don't have 4G here, so I can't say for sure how much 4G affects the battery on this rom, however I've been using Ava-FroyoV10. I do know that the 4G works. I have used it once while I was traveling through a few towns that did have it.
Besides 4G, I do use my phone pretty averagely. In my opinion anyway. I'm usually constantly texting, checking up on eBay using their app, having it plugged into the radio in my car for music, or reading up on engadget. Using Wifi or 3G were applicable. My phone lasts from, about... 8:30AM to around 9 or 10PM. I get a good day's use out of it with Ava-FroyoV10.
I don't use any kernel. I did used to have Netarchy's, however the Ava's stock kernel feels better with the phone. You do not get to adjust your CPU Voltage with the stock kernel.
Your best bet is to surf the Roms and Kernels. Find which one you like best, and stick with it.
Myns warm works pretty well for me with the stock kernel.
plus its a damn good looking rom

Epic New Rooter, Few Questions

First things first, i'm not new to rooting I have an Evo 4G and love it, my wife has
an Epic and is having a lot of issues with battery life.
She's not an advanced user but definitely enjoys a lot of the features her phone does have to offer (Facebook sync and custom ringtones to be specific).
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good stable ROM for me to install to her phone and verify that it can be done after using this rooting method...

Thanks in advance.
Do you want to stick with 2.1, or do you want to go up to unofficial 2.2?
For 2.1, I would suggest Syndicate ROM. For 2.2, if you don't want to mess with the ext4 conversion, I would suggest Bonsai4All 1.1.4.
Sticking with 2.1 and Syndicate...
Anything extra I should know before rooting?
If you're going syndicate it will be perfect. Smooth and extremely stable. I was loving it but I had to be nosey and try the unoffcial 2.2 and am each day getting closer to 2.1. Having insane texting issues with the dk28 modem.

Make sure you get an overclocker to go with syndicates xtreme kernel....
Overclock widget is nice and free, but as far as syndicate goes, I've had much better luck with the paid app setCPU. Plus its more flexible and you can set up the right over/under clocking conditions so she'll never have to worry about it, while providing her better battery life and performance

How is battery life on syndicate? Improvement from stock?

I, myself, am partial to baked snack.

I'm all for going the tweak method since my wife has a similar issue. But for 20 bucks you can get a 3500mAh battery on ebay from china and avoid the blame when her Facebook wont sync or someother unrelated issue. I have been down this road. I put my wife on midNIGHT 2.9 and it gives a pretty good jump in battery life...but had to suffer the wrath when the contacts didn't sync the same. So trust me if your wife isn't into this stuff...take the easy route. I did...put her back to stock and now she can't blame you for Android issues...haha.

Best CM6 Kernel

Looking for the best AOSP Kernel for Froyo. Running CM6 still (I know, its my girls phone). I am looking for an all around package that includes smartass gov as default. Please let me know some opinions.
I have an Inc and been loving invisiblek's #21, so I'm looking for something similar for the Evo

Thanks ahead of time!
Anyone? Just looking for best overall performance and battery life
I know someone must have advice on this. Just looking for a good battery life kernel for the evo, anything before .35
The best battery life and overall performance I have had so far has been with ZenDroid and Savaged-Zen kernels.

[Q] What Is The Best Kernel ?

What Is The Best Kernel For Battery Life On The ACS Rom ?
You Shouldn't Capitalize Every First Letter.
"best" is a subjective word, largely battery life boils down to your reception and use, but most of the time the kernel baked into a Rom will offer the best performance because they are meant to play together.
Pick one that u can undervolt yourself and undervolt as much as u can.
