No sync on a tytn

Hi, I have used this forum before which enabled me to update my TyTN to WM6 many months ago. Which is great and many thanks to all concerned.
It has been working fine and yesterday it Sync'd fine...until now.
I plugged the phone in & it connects and charges fine, but it will not sync.
"ERROR" comes up on the WMDC, nothing else. I have tried everything that other folk have had problems with on these threads but no luck.
There's been no updates either on my pc or TYTN so why should it fail to Sync?
The only "new" thing which has happened is on Device Manager. Whenever I've checked for driver updates in the past, it searches for them & installs them if applicable. Now it searches on all the drivers and comes up: "Windows was not able to find a driver for your pc/device, establish the manufacturers name and go to their website for updates"
It has never done that before.
I have made sure the Ports for Active Sync & wireless are working ok and disabled anti-virus, but no joy. I have done both a hard reset and soft reset but no joy.
As a complete novice, but learning all the time, please can someone explain why my phone will sync one day and not the next?

Hi, Just letting you know something strange happened.
For about the third time I went to the "uninstall program" on Control Panel and clicked WMDC. I asked it to "Repair" (again), and it did so, (again), and when I opened WMDC and connected my phone, it sync'd!
Why I don't know and neither does "Event Viewer" on my pc for it had "no record" of any fault.
So I still don't know why it would not sync before so I cannot help anyone else who may have the problem in future.

Hi, I am afraid WMDC is still not behaving itself. It appears I have to "repair" WMDC from the Vista control panel before WMDC opens, but now it will not let me "browse the contents of my phone".
A box appears asking me to "continue" but there is no error number etc.
I have tried un-installing WMDC and reinstalling it but no luck. I've even done a System Restore & it still will not work.
Obviously some "files" have gone missing in the connection part, but does anyone know what I should do now please?

This is the first time a error box gave details but I am non the wiser.

Your Problem in a nut shell........WINDOWS VISTA!!!!!
If you would like to get serious about flashing new roms etc. you will need to obtain a copy of XP or as I'm sure many users have done DUEL boot XP with Vista.

I have tried many many different ways of getting my phone to work properly when sync'd that I was ready to throw the whole lot away.
I had tried several times to fix this by going to Vista's Control Panel and click "uninstall a programme". On finding WMDC, I clicked repair, (for the upteenth time) and it finally did the works this last time!
All I can suggest if other folk get this problem is to persevere. Details on my Event Viewer show that its a driver problem being too slow yet there are no other new driver updates for my particular phone.

hi to all , my problem is solved now. the steps which i undertook was
1.installed latest .net framework , both full and cf
2.ran unlocker v3a
3. ran hard spl v7
4. finally installed darkvisions v5 final. now everything is ok

I agree, facer is the easiest way to do it. If you want to make one from scratch you need to use gimp or photoshop and eclipse or android studio.

Watchmaker is another great app, easy to learn and has a great UI

And to create watch faces for Facer on the PC see -> http://watchfacestudio.codeplex.com/
I don't think its Facer's owner who made that, but it seems to work with Facer faces.

Its working for me on Win 8.1 Ent 64bit.
But I've only opened a few faces I downloaded, then made slight modifications and saved.

It's only when I press the unlock button and try to mod something then it gives me that error everything else works fine and googled everything and nothing

Post the error here. JIT errors are telling you something happened the program didn't expect. I'm assuming either you're missing a library it requires, or there's something funky with the face you're trying to edit that the program doesn't recognize and it crashes it. Of course, if you get an error with every face you try to edit, then it's probably the former. But post the error and I'll try to help you understand it.
