hey guys,
Im thinking about buying hd7 phone, and wanted to know if it supports hebrew fonts. I couldnt find anywhere on the internet if it does.
I dont need a keyboard or masseging, just to know if the facebook application and the browser shows hebrew fonts so I can just read em.
if it doesnt support, is it a problem to make it happen? (on my hd2 it was great!).

Hi every one,
I am facing some truble with reading sms/mms/email ... since i'm in israel, i recieve some messages in hebrew but i cannot read them since instead of hebrew fonts i get little boxes (each letter is a square) . does anybody knows how to install another font so that the OS will recognize incoming messages ?
i know there is a company that alters the entire OS into hebrew (EYRON i think), but i do not wish to do so. i just want to be able to read/see hebrew fonts...
thanks and have a nice weekend everyone.
Glad to see I am not the only one with the same problem...
I regularly get non-english SMS's. UNfortunately I cant even forward them to a phone with does have the fonts.... I am forced to carry around a second phone (T68i) just for receiving SMS's,,,,

Ok, I have done a bit more research on this.
There is a way of installing Hebrew fonts (TTS type)
BUT
that wont solve your problem UNLESS you are prepared to read hebrew backwards
http://www.wince.co.il
is one site to look at but rather incomplete...
http://www.pocketpc.co.il
is the other but no english....

I only know one, but it works fine.
Diopen by Diotek.

The diopen works very good. But it gives u serval days to try out. If you pay then its good, but if you dont, itll just give you whole buncha messages telling you to register.

Here you can find some Korean fonts.
http://static.campaign.naver.com/nfs1/file/2008/11/hangeul2715/NanumFont_TTF.zip
It has 2 Pairs of 2 fonts inside.
Smaller pair is sans serif(NanumGothic & NanumGothic Bold),
the other is serif one. (NanumMyeongjo & NanumMyeongjo Bold)
They're released by "Naver", the largest web portal in Korea, on OFL 1.1 License.
You can use them for free.
Ah, you may need fixed font too.
Try the link below for fixed fonts.

hi, i'm sorry if this is a really basic question. but i've been trying to find a korean keyboard for my evo, so i can type in korean. I'll try to look for japanese as well, but first i need to find a korean one. i downloaded one from the market but can't get it to work after i enabled it in the keyboard section. does anyone have a suggestion for a good one?
and it seems that msn was taken away from evo. is it just my phone, or is there a particular safe app i should get.
You can download Better Keyboard or any other keyboard replacement in the market and download the language packs.
Hey guys, I got my EVO like a month ago and almost immediately I rooted it.
I will like to know a way to add hebrew fonts to my phone.I saw that in the market they have an "Israel Pack" app, but the comments say that it replaces the english fonts for the hebrew ones and I just want to add it so it recognizes hebrew on a browser and also to use it on the keyboard.
I saw there is a way to do it on the hero(since I'm a new member I can't post any links) but is based on 1.5 I think and as of now Im using 2.1 "OMJ_EVO_2.1_Eclair_v1.6r" (I'll use 2.2 but the cameras are important for me) and I don't think that method will work in the same way for the EVO.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi, im thinking on buying the Desire but i have a few questions about it before i do so:
1. One thing that is bothering me is that i read theres no Divx support. As most of my files are AVI format, does it mean that if i wanna play my AVI format movies it wont play it? If thats true, is it going to change in the near future? ( which i really hope so)
2. Since it runs Android, does it mean i can forget about using MS Office and MS messenger or any other MS application?
thanks for any answer
3. Is there an option to use IGO 8 on the desire?
divx works great with rockplayer
Thanks for the answer.
Anyone else can answer my other 2 questions?
seriously you would rather take the time to create an xdadevs forum account than do some basic google searches?
1. already answered
2. there are many free msn clients. it comes with an app that can read Office file formats, but you want to create or edit documents you'll need to buy an app
3. doesn't look like it's available for WVGA officially..

2. There is quick office app present in the phone, you can use it to view office files. You need to buy documents to go or a similar application to be able to edit files.
3.igo is avaiable for android.
I read that HTC said there will be an update for Divx and 720p, but that was a few months ago, but i can see nothing is changed yet. It feels like it wont happen.

Nothing officially as yet from HTC.
However, we have 720p recording as part of the Froyo with Sense leak, and we have DivX via Rockplayer.
Regards,
Dave
I understand that there is also no Hebrew fonts for the Desire. I do not need the phone to have a Hebrew menus, but i would like to be able to write text messages or email in Hebrew and if i understood correctly, this is not possible unless i root the Desire (which i prefer not to) and install Hebrew fonts myself.
If all of the above is correct, is there a chance that Froyo will support Hebrew fonts?
Also, Is there an official date when Froyo will be out?

[Face_palm] As stated in a previous post: 1. A forum search would find most if not all of your answers. 2. No official word from HTC as of yet, other than Q3 2010.
