i'm using Modaco 2.8 with Radio 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29 but when the energy is 60 or less than 60%, it drains so fast. From 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM it drained all my energy T_T (alarm at 6:00 PM didn't work). When i used Official ROM 1.5 and Radio 63.18.55.06IU_6.35.08.22, my phone lives 2 days or 3 days if only SMS or little of call. My phone Rooted, have recovery 1.5.1. Anyone help me? I like modaco alot. Thanks.
charge it fully until the light become green don't remove the charger go to the recovery and do i wipe to the battery status
that's it
oh when i down the Radio to 63.18.55.06IU_6.35.08.22 and use the official ROM, it works better. I will charge fully and wipe battery stats, thanks habibas.
Ok so I installed a Gingerbread ROM (Oxygen's) which was great, but then after a few moments my Desire is stuck at charging at 50%. I flashed a different ROM but it made no difference. It has been 3 hours since I plugged it in and it is still at 50% Any ideas?
Try to wipe battery stats in CWM. If it doesn't work, try another battery and see if the problem stays.

I have the same problem! my bro baught a new htc desire...he fully charge it but the battery doesn't charge above 50%. Also no matter for how long you leave it charging the led never becomes green. Lucky for him i have the same phone...rooted i put his battery in mine, wiped battery stats and now i put it charging...i'll let you know what will happen...
P.S.: HIS desire With MY battery shows AND charging my battery to 100%. So i think the battery is dead and i will send it back....
anyway i will let you know what happens!
Update : New battery using the GUARANTEE...and firmware update...the battery was dead...
I had installed the stock android 2.3.4 by mistake and then reverted to froyo, using the method given in the forum, but have noticed battery drain quickly, it lasts only 15-16 hours on froyo,
then I installed cm7 rc v2 and the battery has been drianing even faster to last just 12 hrs at the squeez,
how do I solve my battery issue..
Download and install battery calibration from the market. You need rooted device.
1) Charge the phone to full.
2) once full charged, launch battery calibration and press calibrate.
3) Use the phone until it fully drained and shut-off. (this only a suggestion to use it one full cycle after battery calibration run).
Hey,
My desire shutsdown itself at 13%. The Desire HD of my brother shutdown at 0-2%.
Ive tried to reset batterystats but it doesnt help.
What can i do?
Gee, I can't tell.
How about googling about it first?
It was Same on stock rom as i bought it newly (before 1year), it cant be because its old, and Ive calibrated it too, more Tipps i cant find there,
It is a problem with the battery stats. HOWEVER. I've read somewhere (cant remember where ) that even though its an annoying problem. Re-setting the battery stats will not improve battery life. It will give you a more accurate representation but the battery life will stay the same.
Instead of messing around ressetting stats just remember that 13% = dead battery.
just my 2c
Some batteries shut down with 13%, some with 20%, some with 1% and others with something between. As long as you did not notice a strange battery drain, I would just stick with 13% = dead battery (as already mentioned).
Ok, i asked because i thought it isnt normal. Thank its ok.
Thank you
I guess it depends on the battery. I have one that goes almost until 0% and I have another one that holds only until about 11% or so... 13 is not that bad!
My desire did this, except it shut down at around 20%. I just bought a new battery, not even an official HTC one at this fixed it. Now it shuts down at 0-1%.
So basically, its just the battery imo. My battery was about 1 1/2 years old and had seen better days.
Used to have this problem
When I used CM7.0.3 I had this problem, now running LeeDrOiD HD 3.3.3 with Sense 3 and it only shuts down at 2% or less.
i have same problem too
same here
Mine used to do this aswell. Reboot to recovery and clear battery stats? Then full charge and full discharge.
Worked for me at least.
Mythbusters to the rescue.
Like every desire user am having this problem too. I often switch between roms. Even after resetting battery stats my desire dies at 15% battery.

calibrate the battery ****s down at 0% then
I think, you have to reset the Battery Stats. For me it helps!
Lol.
It is not a problem any longer since theGanymedes published his great guide.
Notice how he never mentioned wiping battery stats?

... buit how can i fully discharge the battery if it shuts down at 13 or 20%? even if i restart the phone, it shuts down again
Mine just shut down between 45% - 48%.
Ordered a new one
Same here @ 18%, going to test some methods and inform you
You need to recalibrate the registers in the battery. There is a special program that does that.
Use this howto and it will be fixed.

BTW, you need to have Cyanogenmod or Oxygen installed for this to work or a distro with a kernel that supports it.
Hey i'm new here, it's actually my first post!
I have a rooted htc one x with cyanogenmod 10 and bricked kernel. Everything is just working perfect, the only problem is that the battery runs out over a night?
Last day i charged it to 100%, wiped the battery stats, installed cpuspy (it was around 59% in deep sleep). When i went to bed around 22.00 o'clock the battery was at 96% but at this morning at 9.00 o'clock it was totally dead no battery at all!
I have noticed that it says discharging in the lock screen, in my opinion that's only something you do to get the battery to 0%
I also noticed that it's charging really slow besides stock htc rom ?
is there really no solution for this problem, or do i have to find another rom?

The recent released CM10 nightly builds are not stable at all.
You're recommended to flash version 20120919 or earlier one.
I would say 100% in one night is not an software problem, faulty battery maybe?
