gapps.process stopping randomly - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys i'm getting a random process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly error. It doesn't stop me from using any Gapps like market, maps, nav, gmail etc.. but its annoying. I can just click force close and it stops the error for a bit but then it starts showing again. I've literally done nothing different to my phone. Anyone have any idea how i could possibly fix this? Do i just reinstall gapps? or is there a zip file i can flash to reinstall the gapps?

process com.google.process.gapps has stopped

Need help, my wife's phone is stock srf 1.2 and it was running smoothly for awhile until now, randomly at the begining of making a phone call she is getting process google gapps or framework services stop errors. What is the best way to fix this without having her lose data from her apps?

Try going to settings, aapplications, manage, all, and clear data out of whatever is force closing.

I will try this later, what if nothing is force closing? The error just pops up and then lets me close the popup window but the phone call or text message still works. It also does when my wife unlocks the phone and I just click ok on the popup and the phone will unlock and go to the home screen.
Sounds like you need to enable journaling
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071723
You might have to reflash for this to work correctly. Also did you freeze anything in Titanium or another application?
Quickest fix I've found for that Is to just re flash the rom works like a charm....u can even use the ACS Updater app in the market downloads and does the flash for u quick easy and painless

My epic did the same thing until I put journaling on with srf 1.2

Is gapps itself you need to clear. Do what qb suggested on the com.xxx.gapps

Google app process fc - gtalk not working

So I let my phones battery die all the way accidentally then this morning in getting some Google services fc and gtalk won't open. I'm on randomrom phoenix 2.2 rooted, everything else working perfectly, and battery life has been amazing. I tried reclaiming (after backup of course). To no avail and tried flashing a gapps.zip but that didn't help either. any ideas?

Reflashing not reclaiming. Silly Autocorrect.

Use Titanium and go to Google Services Framework and clear data.
Thank you so much!! Went ahead and did that, GTalk loaded right up!!
Issue resolved, mods can close this.

Does this fix, at least temporarily, all of the FC issues when on GB? Something this simple? I quit using the GB roms because those nasty FC issues.

I am not able to remove google account unless i execute factory reset, it says "This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defults."
Any suggestion without factory reset?

Anybody else run into this problem?? (Play store)

Hey guys has any of you run into this problem with the google play store?? This is actually the first time I've ever run into this problem I've cleared all cache, rebooted, done whatever I can think of but still gives me the "error processing purchase" even tho it is a free app! I got a picture attached
It apparently only seems to be certain apps really weird makes no sense why all of a sudden it does this. Maybe they doing server maintenance? I don't know I'll try again in a couple days I guess

Had the same problem a month ago and did these same steps, worked like a charm.

If those steps don't work for you(they didn't for me) load up rom manager or reboot into recovery and fix permissions.

KitKat Problem

Every kitkat rom I install on my S4, keeps showing my messages icon on the status bar. Even when I clear it, it comes back.
I don't know why, or how to solve this issue.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks

Try this, go into Settings and Application manager. Under "All" look for BadgeProvider, click on it then click Force stop and clear data/cache. Reboot phone afterward. Good luck.

I looked where you said to look, did not see 'BadgeProvider' anywhere.
For whatever reason, it's driving me crazy.
