I just got my Sena Ultraslim leather case yesterday:
http://www.senacases.com/htc-cases/thunderbolt-cases/ultraslim/
It's a sleeve style case. I got hooked on these after having the neoprene sleeve for my Nexus One. It's a little snug right now, but I think it will stretch out. It doesn't provide a lot of shock protection, but it will protect it from scratches. If you like the sleeve form factor, I would recommend this case.
The name sounds like a condom brand, lol.
hooked on neoprene pouch from nexus as well. Please post how you like this one after some use =)

So far, it's...okay. I like the look and feel of it, but its just a little snug right now. It makes sliding the phone in and out a little tough (no pun intended despite the condom jokes in the thread). I'm hoping this will get better as it breaks in.

Cool. Just snagged a similar case off amazon... will report when I receive it. It's an hd2 pouch... should fit

do u guys think that a waist holster will hold my phone with a tpu case on the phone? will it be enough room in the holster? thx for your input
I found some stuff online saying that the Captivate with a Body Glove case is roughly the same size as an HTC Evo, so any Evo case would work for that. TPU case looks similar in size to BG
ok,thx alot for the response. so i should try an Evo case?
Best Buy has a Platinum series holster with a snap on case that looks pretty nice.

Has anyone tried this because I'm using body glove case and would like a holster. I have imo a decent case and screen protector so the holster doesn't have to be expensive.

I just got one at Best Buy today that seems pretty good. It is a snug fit with magnetic catch.

It is a little snug. I am getting used to it and it is a little easier to get out. I don't get it out a lot and once we get bluetooth dialing, I will get it out even less.
I just got one from eBay did a search for captivate holster got a nice leather one with belt loops and a clip with magnetic flap for around 8 dollars I believe works great with me silicon case that I have on my phone without a case on your phone its a little loose however.

The Captivate will fit in a Verizon Motorola Droid X leather case with or without the Body Glove case.
Can any one recomend a leather or well made holster for the Captivate?
I see you guys are discussing the bodyglove and other silicon cases but are you just keeping the phone in your pocket? or am I missing something?
Thanks!
Look on ebay.
I got myself the "book" type of a PDair and is pretty nice. Good for suit but without closed jacket as the phone will be pretty much in relief when mounted on your belt. However, if you have a thick belt, forget about it, it simply wont fit

I bought this one from pdair
PDair Black Leather P01 Case for Samsung Captivate i897
I'm still curious tho do most capt......owners just pocket this big phone?
this phone is as slick and sexy as a phone/Pda can be. some people won't trade that for protection ;-) so, yes, i think that they do keep it in the pocket

I carry mine in a Case Logic case for a Blackberry. It fits great.

Anyone seen one for the tbolt. I really got hooked on the one that came with the N1.
I like my N1 neoprene sleeve as well. It was much easier for me to slide the device in and out of a neoprene than to pull a silicone-covered device out of my pocket!
The silicone cases tend to grab your pocket material and can be harder to slide out.
I agree the silicone cases stick to the material of jean pockets. Also it kinda sucks its a pain to get the phone in the car dock with a case on it.. pretty sure I'm done with the case
What exactly is a Neoprene sleeve?
Not if you get the high gloss and sand it down.

It is a soft thin sleeve that protects the phone when not in use. Kind of like a glove for your phone. The only downside is you can't use the phone while in the sleeve like you can with conventional phone cases.

I tried out the VZW gel case but it felt too slippery (+too expensive!) so I returned it.
I am looking for that style of case but something with a little more grippage.
Is anyone using something they could recommend?
Thanks
Hey. I don't have this case in my possession just yet, but the Xoom case Genius by Zoogue was my definite choice! Its leather, so not may have the grippyness you prefer, but it looks amazing! It can be used as a stand, a full body cover, car head rest mount, and has a strap so you can wrap it around your hand. I preordered a while back and should have it soon. This brand has high praise for their genius cases.
Check it out...http://www.zoogue.com/shop/

You can find actual reviews for their cases on other devices as well.

I think I'll be getting an otterbox defender case for mine..
...
+1 for Otterbox!
Has anyone had any problems with it coming loose? Does it make it too bulky? I'm coming from a inspire, with a thick speck case,so as long as it isn't like 3 inches thick, ill be fine lol

I carry my Atrix in a Commuter in my pocket all the time. My buddy has his Atrix in a Defender and he likes to use the belt clip. The Commuter is def more pocket friendly than the Defender. I wouldn't want to carry the defender in my pocket if that helps.. As far as it coming loose, I doubt that would happen with either Otterbox case.
Defender - Hard plastic inside, rubber out
Commuter - Rubber inside, hard plastic out

Have you noticed the rubber warping a bit? Mine is a little loose now, and I'm not sure if its because its too hot in the pocket...
Yep. warping on the bottom. Did anyone ever realized that the belt clip can be used as a stand?... I dropped my jaw to the floor. Just push the belt clip all the way till it clips.

I have A commuter on my atrix and it's probably the best case I've ever had on any phone. It's flush with the phone at every point and hasn't warped, at least for me. I highly recommend it

Yea, a few of us have posted on other threads that the Defender silicone will warp and not fit correctly. I've replaced mine already and within a few days it started doing the same thing. Waiting for Ballistic to get around to making these.

I am using this case with my Atrix and it's very protective, but for that reason it's bulky. If you know you are gonna doing some heavy duty use with your Atrix - I recommend this case. Haven't had the warping issues described by other posters.
I'm selling a lightly used commuter... pm me if interested

I have had all 3 otterbox cases/phone covers/shells whichever you'd like to call them.
Impact was junk, just a slip on case, spend the extra 5 bucks of whatever to get the Commuter.
Commuter is sweet, I use it as my every day cover when I'm not at work my only complaint is that the rubber around the top speaker and camera is stretched looser than a porn star's asshole but the case looks and performs well. A screen protector is a must since the commuter does not have a built in one like the defender.
Defender is pretty sweet, I do construction and i am constantly banging into things and I have to use my phone a lot. It's very durable and keep it protected I dropped it off the 4th story of the retirement building that's going up and I ran down and picked it up and works perfectly. Obviously it's far too big for fit in pockets, hahaha. Hence the reason it comes with the belt clip, it looks and performs its job superbly. My only gripe is the rubber sometimes gets loose around the edges but that's no big deal.

+1 I don't do construction but I really like the defender as well. All the protection is really reassuring
I even learned to like the bulkiness it adds cuz with this case the phone looks brutal,
since i unpacked my atrix i wear it in a commuter case, it fits just fine and it makes it a bit bulkier and stylish.
i recognized the rubber is stretching through the physics i learned in school - on very hot days the rubber doesnt fit THAT exactly, but nothing i cant handle with.
i will never buy anything else than otterbox for my phone ^^
i guess the commuter series is hot on the top of what u need of an protective case - i still got no problems with the delivered screen protector, no touch issues.
if you prefer wearing your device on your belt you may pick the defender series
hope this helps
So after all the advice i went with the commuter. But....where could I get a belt clip for it? (other than ebay)

The commuter doesn't have one. Just use a generic "pda" case. NiteIze has some really good ones.

I'll sell you my defender case cheap. It's like the commuter but has the holster. I got the Seidio Surface case cuz it fits in the laptop dock plus its less bulky.
