I just found this mod over in the Desire HD forums and it works on our phones to. Its a simple flashable zip that make the notification bar transparent. I take no credit for this at all, all credit goes to gimj01
I have tested it out and it won't work if you have a theme selected in the theme chooser and if you have a flashable theme applied for will just get FC's after you reboot. I would recommend doing a nandroid before flashing.
If your using ADW you need to disable wallpaper hack under system prefrences.

Reboot on recovery and flash .zip.
Not bad
In general, it's a clean look. Needs improvement as it display a bit weird when you are looking at the drawer. The notification pull down also looks a bit odd as well since color change, text overlap.

Gingervillain is based of a very old version of cm7, and this was put together for use on newer versions. maybe time to update you rom?

tried installing busy box and that gives me an error too... ugh. damnit. i hate the white notification bar... ill keep playing with it. hopefully i can get it to work.
alright.. might have to do with the fact im on the first build.. i don't want to update my g2.
could be why mine isn't working as well.....wonder what the difference is?

I'm on the original build as well and it works for me. I used a different theme though. Are you rooted?

thanks for the metamorph.. worked like a charm finally.. after downloading andexplorer.. didn't need busybox. i went to apply theme and it was in my folder and worked.. would write up a guide.. (since i found my mistake) but time to burn some trees.

There's already a black metamorph for G2, problem is, without CM mod settings, we cant change the text clock and notification colors. So it's black on black. Either use enomthr's rom, or a grey metamorph.

Known issue's
When playing videos in high quality from the youtube app they will look odd misplaced colors, changing to normal quality fixes this, for HQ youtube videos download opera Mobile 11 from the market and watch the directly form the website.
There is also a bug when entering the mobile network settings it will fc, so to change bands or anything related to that, try and find a market app that does that, im sure there's plenty.
To set your apns if there missing get this app. im sure the market has more.

Okay so i downloaded, its legit fasted 2.2 sense rom right now on the G2. Everything is working.. but as far as looks go something doesnt feel right. The notification bar icons dont fit. Is it possible to get the original sense notification bar? I dont care much for the gingerbread icons at all with this.

cant help you there, check the rom original thread, theres a bunch of mods and stuff you can flash to the rom.

If you can't help with that then I'm assuming I cant really expect much of else? Evo is a bigger screen.. so assume those mods and themes fit towards the "Evo" standard.

calm down dude, the reason icons are like that is because thats the way myn whanted it, thats how the theme works. i really cant do anything, because i would be changing how myn looks and thats not my goal here. and im sure myn would not like hes rom being spread with stuff changed. again you are more than welcome to do it your self for your personal use.

it has too, to my knowledge it should work.
Rom works great, really fast for sense...... might stick with this one for a bit, even though its 2.2 .
Had this ROM on my Evo and it was great (one of the better ones). Nice to see it here for the G2.
I've been waiting for WYN to come to the G2 for a longtime. The ROM is FAST for sense and I ran a quadrant without and got 1296 not bad. I will use this as my DD for a while. I also like the customization you can do with this ROM. So far I tired to download several custom items and no luck but still it's a nice ROM.

you cant download them?, or you download them/install then and they dont work? they might incompatible with this myn z version in particular.
Wasnt trying to be a jerk. Ive looked on the evo thread, did not see any kind of original icon/notification bar... this rom is awesome.. like ive said.. and im quite sketchy of flashing anything from the evo unless confirmed it will work.

trying to flash the power widget mod, but it docent whant to work, it flashes but does nothing. il keep at it let you guys know.
Heres a little project iv been working the past 3 days, This is the recent Stock vision rom that got leaked themed to look like the xperia arc rom, there might be a few png left to theme here and there, also the lock screen is a work in progress so iv included a flashable zip for you guys to get the default lock screen back.
There is also an issue with the Launcher its not properly aligned. Nothing to serious it fully functional, any ways there are fixed version of the launcher but I can't get them to work, so il work on that too.

thanks man i love adw but this one is good. I'm not sure yet about switching.
The launcher for this rom is sweet. I did get some fc's when I removed the picture and video widget from the homescreen. I simply cleared the launcher data and its all fine. Besides that everything works perfectly.

Hello fellow flashoholics. Now that we have root its time to get some Roms and Themes going. I dont do Roms but I do some theming. Make sure you download the Blackfroyo Icon zip if you want my style of icons. Also make sure you make a nandroid backup in cwm before you flash.
Instructions;
download zip,
wipe cache,
wipe dalvick,install zip,
fix permissions,
reboot.
If after flashing you get a tranparent lockscreen wallpaper just go into seetings, display, lockscreen wallpaper, select wallpaper and that will gp away.
I also include the wallpaper I am using and the clock is from Beautiful widgets "serenity white"

In cwm click advance, fix permission, it will take a bit to complete, hit go back , reboot system.

The black froyo icons are not flashable you have to unzip them and replace them with desktop Visualizer or your home replacement app. And the wallpaper can be found in zedge from the market its called womans body. original...lol

Ouch..i'm on Andromadus test buils, which are odexed..one of the requirements is a deodexed rom..
Also, thread is closed and development stopped..

Edit: The UI keeps Force Closing, background changes to default, no statusbar at all..already restored backup because i haven't really the time to test more deeply..
In other words, on Andromadus test build 97 it doesn't works..

As the author of the Reloaded ICS thread states, it no longer works w/ the new CM9 themes engine which has been around for at least a month now in ICS builds. They need to update it to work w/ the new framework.
Development of Reloades has restarted! Guess well'only have to wait!
