Guys, this is my first thread here..
i'm sorry if my english really bad and make u all need extra strength to understand what i mean
I have problems with my desire z..
it's rooted and have virtuous V 1.0 rom installed in my phone..
today i got some weird msg from my phone.. it says that my phone storage space is getting low..
when i check my phone storage available space,i got ZERO!!!!
yes have some apps installed in my internal memory.. but its just make no sense.. its impossible that some apps eats all the storage..
already tried to uninstall some apps that installed in my phone storage, restart my phone, turn it off and back on, unmount the sd card, clearing the cache, history, dll and still no help.. the internal storage is still 0
now the phone is useless.. i cant read msg, open mail, browsing, install market apps,dll..
please help me.. i dont have any idea why this happened to my phone
is this some kind of viruses or what??
is the only things to clear this problem is hard reset???
it's ok for me if hard reset could solve the problem..
but, what if the problem happens again next time??
does this mean that i have to perform hard reset everytime this problems occur?? OMG
Guys, Please help me...
Thanks for all your help before...
Thanks...
How long have you had your phone for? I do think that a factory reset would fix your problem, but if your phone is relativity new, then you might want to try harder to find a exact problem and solution... as to that, I have no clue.
Sent from my SilverBullet "HTCDesireZ running CM7"
I have my phone for 4 months.. And rooted for about 3 months.. I never use internal storage as my primary.. It should have at least 700-800mb left.. But where does them go? Really confused.. Already trying to delete some apps that installed in phone storage, but the phone still have 0 storage left?
Anybody have any idea???

Your English is just fine, extra strength or not
I agree with the previous response, do a factory reset and see if that helps.

Did you try with a clean SD Card?
And is it a error message that pops up telling about 4.4 or do you read it in the booting lines?

I really think you should (1) read the FAQ in the XDAndroid development threads and (2) move your questions over there to get more answers. Just reading those threads might help you.
A friend of mine had some problems and asked if I could look into it for him. I've never owned an Incredible so I don't really know much about it. I figured I'd post here and see if you guys can help.
Here's what he sent me:
"So I've got an Incredible and recently its been prompting me to do updates when I'm pretty sure my phone is up to date. So I click update and it says its going to reboot and then never does. So this morning I wake up and its like internal SD card cannot be read or something to that extent. But what's weird is that all my music still works but all my custom ringtones are broke. It's like the 8GB SD card is working, but the internal memory is failing. What do? "
Any ideas?

I assume its rooted, thats why the update wont go thru. As for the memory, does a reboot fix it?
Does this user also understand the concept of safely ejecting his phone before removing it from the computer (most importantly after moving, editing, or pasting files)?
Chances are, his sd card and internal memory could use a good 'disc checking' from a windows computer.. Lol

My cousin called me yesterday complaining of the same thing. He stated that he has been recieving OTA updates for the phone on a daily basis lately and since the first update has been getting an internal memory low popup on his Incredible.
His phone is NOT rooted and completely stock with the original SD card. Would like help from anyone else having this issue and knows what the deal is with the multiple OTA's coming in and killing memory.
Okay, here is what needs to happen if you are to get rid of that error..
Go to cyanogenmod and follow the wiki to root and ROM your phone...
Or, do the update...
Now, i would strongly recommend the first choice, as oppose to the second..
The stock software is disgusting.
Rooted cm7 will not only run a lot better for you, but you will be more up to date than the ota update.
You're phone most likely is running out of internal memory, because it is downloading the update and storing it in preparation.
Just do a google search for cyanogenmod, go to their site, click your device, then click the related wiki page..
Follow the instructions and check back here on xda if you have any questions.
Good luck

For the update to succeed, the phone has to be plugged into the wall charger.

I know what this mean, but the only installed things are some games ( 2 ) and the message is staying there from one week. The available system memory is only 32 mb free. But almost nothing is installed and all pictures and music and etc. are in the SD card. In the device memory there is almost nothing and I can't delete a single thing.. So do you guys know what sort of problem is this and how can I solve it ? I will be grateful if you can help me. Btw the device it's not rooted and it's fully STOCK ! I can't root it. It's not mine you know.. So.. someone .. I looked other threads like this but didn't find the salution.. not even on stock device
