When I call someone holding my phone in hand everything is ok. But when i get it to ear i hear beeping sound and it quits the calling ui, and goes to lockscreen, so i can't reject or anything, and the phone im calling to is still ringing. Do you have any idea how I can fix it?

I think you could try and change the settings of the proximity sensor, or keep the screen awake while calling.

Hi guys. Untill today i was using my BA without no problem. I use WM 6.5-R5 when someone call me the phone ringing and i can hear the sound coming from the speaker, but when i answer it there is no sound from the speaker. when i try to play an mp3 there is no sound too. when i call someone there is no sound i can not hear the dial tone or the persons voice. the speaker works only when receiving a call and there is only ringing sound. it happens suddenly. it was working very normal untill today. i just flash the rom and there is no change still no sound. what is the problem? does anybody know?
1. check the system volume in the task bar, maybe the right bar is up and the left one is down, that would cause that the only sound you can hear is your ringtone, and nothing else
2. if that is the case try putting the left one up, if that works and there is still no sound, check again, maybe it lowered itself, in that case, re-flash your device (occured to me once)
3. if both points aren't applicable, look up the settings for sounds & notifications (very unlikely)
i personally believe it is no. 2, as i had that issue myself just a few weeks ago.
i checked everything about sound but nothing changed, then suddenly it come back to normal :S now there is no problem thanks anyway
So when this phone first launched the proximity sensor was still active during bluetooth calls. most people hated it, for me, it was good. This kept the screen off while it was in my pocket on a bluetooth call. Now though with the newest ota the proximity is not active during a bluetooth call and the phone stays on in my pocket, and when i end the call it stays on as well. I searched trying to find a program that will turn off the screen while on bluetooth and maybe even re-lock it after the call ends if it was locked before the call but was unsuccessful. Anyone else have this problem, and maybe a solution?

Hi,
yesterday I restarted my HTC Desire GSM running CM7 and during the first call I noticed that the voice of my interlocutor was caming from behind the phone (rear speaker). I tried turning the Speaker on/off several times during the call and rebooting as well but still the call speaks out from behind.
Any clue/suggestion for me? That's pretty uncomfortable
Sounds weird, do you mean it goes into speaker mode? If you do maybe there is a problem with your accelerometer. In the Sound settings is 'Flip for speaker' on, if so try turning it off. This setting may be causing your phone to enter speaker phone even though your phone isn't flipped.
I'm not an expert but maybe this is causing the problem.
It's not exactly the "speaker" because the volume is very low, exactly like a normal call but instead it comes from the rear speaker. Moreover I can turn the speaker on, which makes the volume louder but still from behind the phone (as it should be).
However I checked the call settings and the proximity is disabled. I tried enabling/disabling a couple of times but no luck at all
Any other suggestion please? Still can't hear from the right side of my phone and rear speaker definitely s**ks
Basically, if I boot up my phone and try to make a phone call (or immediately receive one), the call goes through no problem.
After setting aside the S2 for about 30 minutes, if I try to make a call or anything of the sort - the call connects but I don't hear dial tone, audio, etc. Just 0 sound. I can fix by rebooting.
I have tried flashing a few different ROMs to no avail. Currently downgraded to 4.3.1 AOKP Hercules (cyanogen kernel) from Beanstalk 4.4...
Messed around with settings and such multiple times. It's almost like the sound just shuts off after not touching the phone for a while. I can still use MMS, SMS, and data while this problem occurs. And people on the other end can't hear me either.
What might be the problem?
Update: So it appears to be an integral sound issue. For a few hours, data/service/calling works and WiFi doesn't. Then, all of a sudden, WiFi starts working and this audio bug occurs. I can use earphones to listen in on calls before the bug happens, but if I try to plug in headphones and make a call after the bug it just crashes the phone.

I think it may have something to do with your radio.
What is your Baseband version?
I'm using UVMC6

I've noticed recently that when answering a call I don't hear anything and the caller doesn't hear me for at least 5 seconds. That's long enough for the caller to hang up and call again, at which point the delay is only 1 or 2 seconds before all audio starts working. I've tried clearing the Phone app data, but that didn't help. I don't think it's the mic because OK Google works immediately. It's only happening on phone calls.
I'm running 8.1 DP1, so of course Google support won't help me.

I had the same issue until I turned off Wifi calling.
Went away after that.
Kind of sucks but I manually turn it on in bad reception areas, you know Tier 3 DCs.
I checked, but wifi calling wasn't enabled. I enabled and disabled. Stab in the dark. Now to wait for someone to call me
This would happen to me on the original XL. It would take a few seconds after picking up the call for Wifi calling to kick in. Turning Wifi calling off should solve the issue.
Wifi calling was not enabled on the phone. Still getting the delay. I wonder if there's a setting with T-Mobile on the carrier side that's causing this.
