Is there a way for the evo to upload a video to facebook without going through youtube first?

You can use the Facebook app, or go directly to the facebook page in the browser.
There is a free app in the market called video to Facebook that works well. I've never tried it on an aosp Rom but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Give it a shot.

Open up gallery, find the picture of video you wish to share, and click share on facebook. Facebook for HTC Sense will add them to your online photos and videos. That's how I do it. I believe you can batch upload as well.
I know that you can upload pictures by using gallery. But I can't upload video using the gallery method.

Hmm, I haven't had that problem. You should make a YouTube account and just upload the videos there and link them to your profile.
Hello guys,
I'm using Android Revolution 5.2.6, and the latest FaceBook app, when i use chat while connected on wifi, it works perfectly, but when i use 3G it doesn't and it says: " Cannot retrieve the friend list. Please try again later. " blah blah.., i don't know what's the issue, so if anyone of you knows, please reply.

Skype.
What kind of connection are you using?
Is it a quality issue on your end, theirs, or both?
I see Google+ mentioned a lot; how does one initiate video chat from the phone?

For some reason now when i click on a YouTube link on say XDA,or on a news feed like taptu,I no longer get offered the option to open it in the YouTube app.It only offers me option of web browsers

Try to uninstall and reinstall youtube app.
maybe you set as default to visualize it on the browser... you should clear the defaults in the browser apps
Did both of the above and still the same gives me any web browser I have installed(dolphin chrome etc) as an option to open the link but no YouTube app option. This is the same in several apps and even in web browsers

You can try a factory reset ! Backup your things with carbon, free from the playstore .....
Then at least you know if its a setting or not
Still having no luck with this even after a reset, got sent a YouTube link via a message and don't get the option to use the app in that either
