Is there a way to buy just a replacement cover? The ebay ones don't fit the seidio.
thanks!
If you can find the back cover for the official sprint 2600 extended battery, it will work the seidio 3500. I can confirm it as I have both batteries.
Uhhh yes it does

I'm running a red eBay extended battery door. I just took an expo knife and shaved a little off the bottom corner. Before I shaved off the bottom of the door wouldn't close. Just don't shave too much or you will expose the inside of the battery.

Really? Are you really trying to argue with me here? Wow... haha. Even so at least point out why I can't get mine to fit.
Thank you for the other two people who actually bothered to give me a helpful response!
I'll give the first suggestion a try then do the next if it doesn't turn out well.

The ebay Asian back doesn't fit mine because the backside slightly pops out. Same problem like OutdoorOBW. The platinum seidio is slightly thicker than the ebay 3500 batteries I have, so the edges probably make the curved back a little less accommodating. I have 3 backdoors from different ebay/amazon sellers and had no luck.
Go ahead and make your video if you want. Your time wasted not mine. Just don't assume you're always right. Not everyone is as stupid as you'd like to think? I wouldn't be asking if it did fit.
Edit: And I'd like to point out that you were the one being rude first.

edit: LOLOL I just watched most of it. Really funny. We do have the same cases but one of my corner pops out slightly and will not go in. Sure it fits fine but its not perfect enough for my taste. Maybe the molds from different ebay sellers are slightly different but I'm glad it worked for you?

Guys if you need a extended battery for your ET4G, try Gorilla gadgets.

How's the quality? How long have you had it?
I came across this video (its for the EVO 4G gorilla gadgets battery, but seeing it makes me concerned of the quality of their products).
I've been using this gorilla gadgets extended battery for about six weeks and I am very satisfied with the performance. I get about 12 hrs or more between charges with moderate use. And yes, I had htc evo with extended battery from the same company. That is how I found out about gorilla gadgets. Not to forget, the shipping is pretty fast!
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
I used the Incredicell in my EVO 3D and it was great. I will probably get one when I get my E4GT. The door looks kinda ugly, but the battery is solid.
http://www.accessoryswamp.com/3500mah-extended-life-samsung-epic-4g-touch-battery.html?limit=20
I too had a incredicell extended battery for my ET4G but few weeks later I was not happy with it's performance. So I checked gorilla gadgets and ordered one from them.

@Caseyatbt, the cover is the same as the one from ebay it is kinda slick. I have bought a Trexcell thermoplastic TPU cover case for 10 bucks from Amazon. I am really happy with it, it fit really good. I have included some pictures.

@ JoeBruin32, GG extended battery's performance is way better compare to the one from ebay. Check gorillagadgets.com and read reviews about their products. You will be amazed. I had an htc evo a while ago with GG extended battery and I never had to worry about running out of battery. With GG extended battery I was able to unleashed the power of it.. Lol

These are all the exact same batteries as what you would get on ebay, the only difference is the branding.
@ pbassjunk, yes they do look the same but the GG's last way longer than the one from Ebay.

Well I ordered it hopefully it works and doesn't mess anything up It had good reviews on amazon however there are bad reviews on some of there other batteries.. I did the free shipping so I won't have it for a week or two.. So far it is the only one with a white cover that I can find.. And as for the size if it last me a day or two I can handle it. Not like I wear skinny jeans or anything and when I have to wear a suit ill put in the oem battery I'm just sick of getting only eight to ten hours on this thing.

The reviews almost look fake, but for that price its worth a try I guess. I got the andida 2300 battery and it improved mine enough to last a few more hours without a giant case.

Absolutely loving this battery! I had a ballistic like case that I cut out the back of so the back end of the battery can stick out and still have that protection from the case. Didn't want the trexcell and its crappy tpu case so this combo works even better imho. The pics below are from the juice left when I received the battery, as you can see took a long time to drain it and I had everything on full blast 4g/bluetooth/screen brightness 100% youtube running non stop etc.
Anxious to see what a few recharge cycles will result in if I get results like this on a half dead battery. I can already honestly tell you all this battery is a huuuuuuge improvement over stock, with the only flaw being the weird back cover that sticks out. Wish they woulda gone with a mugen style cover like they did for the g2x and its 3500 mah extended battery.
Lastly, I kinda like the battery door sticking out a bit more since it feels more comfortable to hold and the index finger has a place to grip making a drop less likely to happen.

There is no way that this thing a can compete with 2 oem batteries though. I dont do mod projects out of necessity, I do them because I like getting my hands dirty.

No it does not. Uses the same stock battery cover. Anyways, I don't work for Anker but I hate when peeps spend useless money on name brand crap when there is no need to. Good luck with any choice that is made, in the end having a extended battery has saved me in the past.
Even I bought the Anker ones from Amazon

Got a great price for a set of 2 batteries plus a wall charger !!! Try it out.
I have both the Anker and Nexus batteries. I think the Nexus one lasts a bit longer, no tests/data to back it up though. Both are good choices and certainly better than stock.

That question is impossible to answer because what I get and what 10 other people get is always based on usage and what is on. I am on my phone all day and either checking twitter and a ton of texting. I know I typically get around 5-6 hours more usage than I got before with stock which is perfect for me.

I'm looking for a matte replacement battery door. I hate the glossy feel of the SGSIII, it's too slippery, and I know I'm going to drop it if I don't do something about it. At the same time, I'd rather not use a cover which adds bulk. Do replacement battery doors exist yet?
So far, I've only found metal (kills NFC, impedes GPS and cell reception) and fake leather doors.
Until a nice dark blue or black rubber coated door shows up, I'm making do with the original Samsung clear slim cover - it barely adds bulk (still fits in car docks etc) and has more grip than the original cover (made from wet soap from what i can tell). There's a thread with pictures of it in this forum.
edit: typos.
Just do what I did with a glossy Speck case for iPhone, when I had one.
Get a sponge for dish washing, and instead of soap, use toothpaste and "wash" the back cover. After 2 minutes you have a nice DIY matte cover
Just get a rock case. It's feels like it is barely there and offers a great feel.

^^ Mine's on the way also. What's your impression so far?
It has a thin feels like I have nothing on my phone at all.. It does how ever make the power button really sensitive to touch.. I like the feel of it

Nice. Can't wait to get mine. Although I might be getting screwed over by the site I ordered from (it's been a week since they "shipped" it but the tracking number is still invalid)
Got mine in today and liking it very much. It feels like it adds maybe about an extra 0.5 - 1 mm vs the Diztronic. Its definitely thicker than the Diztronic but not by much. In exchange for that slight extra thickness, it feels like it would absorb a drop better than the Diztronic and the lip around the edge of the screen is also a little thicker. The buttons are also easier to press with the Incipio vs the Diztronic and the headphone cutout is a little larger also. I also prefer the soft touch paint coating of the Incipio. Both are great cases but I think the slightly better protection the Incipio offers over the Diztronic will make it the case I use on a daily basis.
Update: case is great but super sensitive around the power button I do like it tho phone feels better in hand than with generic eBay case

Hmm... just noticed something, I wonder why the back camera hole is "AT&T" style...

Yeah I bought one and it slightly covers the lens, it's not quite cut for the LS970 version around the camera. I am decidling if I should send it back and get an Otterbox instead.

I just bought the otter box case and it's a much better fit than the incipio case think I'm going to sell my incipio case

I am starting to think it might be a design/manufacturing error on incipio's part. Maybe it's supposed to be for AT&T version of the phone but they use the Sprint version dimension instead, or vise versa. That would explain why it's still not showing up on incipio's website.
Anyway kratos313 how's the otterbox compare to the incipio when it comes to thickness & size?
